OMG!! That's a hell of a lot of cupcakes!! Great job!!

I should confess, i don't own an oven so i don't bake. Have always been a good eater, not a cook 

I have two ovens - one to store all the baking sheets and roasting pans and the other to store the remaining baking sheets and roasting pans. 

I can cook/bake & it tastes good, but it never looks really pretty.   

We'll have to get together and wear our pins!  I got my diva cup a few days ago and have been using it.

The Diva Cup = my new best friend!

I'll give you all the details tomorrow.
 

Here's a tip - I don't think the pin is meant to be worn in the diva cup!

The piping always seems to impress people - I only pipe the frosting because I'm so lazy and OCD. It's just so much easier to squeeze it and let it squirt everywhere - and then I just stick a lolly in the middle to pretty it up.

Really?  Is that what that pinching is?

Damn, after sweating through a 3 hour blackout, eating some cupcakes now sure sounds great.

What a great saturday so far despite the power outage... Kids and i woke up at 10:30...ordered pizza, mojos and pasta for lunch (Shakey's, do you have that in europe or oz?)... all 3 of us leaving the bed only to eat or use the bathroom...reading/playing with our ipads ... what a way to rest from a busy work week... Now thinking where to order our dinner 

Funny though, my kids kept asking me how much charge my ipad had left. They were worried the blackout will continue through the night and they'll have no more charge in theirs..."what will we do, mom?!". Made them bring out their favorite paperbacks and told them to prepare to read by candlelight ...or sleep early. 

Their shouts/shrieks of joy when the electric fan started signifying the power was back on hurt my ears. But how sweet of them to jump up from bed and hand me the charger for my ipad wthout me asking as they hurriedly plugged theirs in. See, i knew kids were useful, not just bottomless eating machines eating me out of hearth and home. 

Oh geez, definitely getting my ass of the bed and making myself a dessert after reading this in Geek Love

We gave a moment of silence, contemplating the Trifecta before us. Two cups of steaming coffee-straight from the Fauxbucks insta-serve machine, a bowl of microwaved (now liquid) Hershey's chocolate, and a plate of peanutbutter-filled cookie sandwiches.
Bella sighed deeply. She always did when faced with the Trifecta, but this sigh had undertones of genuine tension. Taking a cookie sandwich, she scooped an impressive amount of chocolate on to it. Raising the devilish dessert to her mouth, her eyes closed in appreciation.

I've been following a story called 'A Prescription for Love' for a while now, but I think I'm going to have to flounce it (can you even flounce a WIP?) because it's just so try hard. The premise was great and I like the writing, but the story is dragging on and on. It's 250,000 words and there's just been another load of drama, even though the story is in a perfect place to be finished.

It's so annoying reading a story you know could have ended chapters earlier

I've been following this as well and was thinking the same as I think it's gone stagnant and I'm starting to get bored with it.

I'm going through a bit of a "homeless" fic phrase at the moment as I'm now reading You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, which is about my 4th fic of this kind in the last week or so.
Which can only mean one thing I have to re-read The screamers (for the umpteenth time) next - oh, how I've missed Giney and Godzy.

And I'm sure you've read it but Poughkeepsie by Mrs The King has a great homelessward.

Summary: AU. Bella is at the train station when a homeless man gets attacked. Even if the other train passengers can turn their backs on 'Crazy', the man that pretends to play piano on cardboard, Bella can't.
