So was it rude of me to semi-tell off this girl who keeps requesting the same stories over and over again, yet doesn't offer any stories in return, when she then posted the same requests on another thread after Ficfangirl told her not to?

The other important part of all of this is we've accomplished all these things by being a community, working together, and helping each other.  If each of us only popped in and took what we wanted/needed, then we couldn't possibly have this.  Of course, there would also be nothing to take because no one would give.  Is that circular logic?   :-\

We certainly are a community, in the truest sense of the word - not only do we have a common interest, but we share and support each other in this interest, and we care and support each other in all other matters as well.

I am a real stickler for manners - I definitely see more kids start school every year with less manners! Apart from the little niceties (please, thank you, good morning), there are 2 things that really get my goat:

Kids don't know how to sit anymore - feet tucked under them, sprawled everywhere, feet on the chair, etc. Also, most little girls wear shorts to school nowadays, but they do wear skirts or dresses (the kids wear uniforms here), but I will tell them to keep their knees together when sitting, or if in a dress, to cover their knees - I don't need to see what they had for breakfast!!!

The other thing surprises me all the time - kids and parents will just walk into not only our main office reception area without knocking, but will also walk through it and straight into my office. Yes, my door is kept open, but I can't believe people just walk in! I mean, you wouldn't just barge into your doctor's office!

There is no excuse for not posting a quick "Thanks" - although I wonder if what I perceive as a lack of manners is actually a Generation Y thing. Perhaps it's a cultural thing. Or maybe those that are always on the take don't actually realise the efforts that everyone goes to when locating and posting a fic - if they've never reciprocated, how can they know!

No excuse - but perhaps an explanation for why they don't do it.

As for the flashy banners - sometimes I get tempted to PM a mod or MrAdmin and request that they impose a size limit. I have to keep pictures to a certain size here, but some of these banners take up half a page! And the flashing, glittery ones - sometimes it's like being at a really piss-poor rave! They could cause a seizure!!!

The banners might be a reminder that not everyone here is really over 18 (or 16? or 12?)  ;D

I know I just put this message on another thread, but it doesn't mean any less - love you guys.  :-* :-*
HI Everyone - after my Daughter spent ages nagging me today, I decided to come on here as she was tellling me about some of the messages she read after letting you know what happened to our little one.
I just wanted to say a mahoosive
Me and the hubby have been reading through your post and PM's (which I will reply to, I promise) and are eternally grateful for all your kind words and thoughts.
I will try and get on here properly in the next few days as the hubby (and, yes my bossy Daughter) thinks it will do me some good to get of my head for a while, as he was really astonished by how kind everyone on here is and thinks that you will all help me, which I'm certain you will.
So once again, Thank you all so much - this just proves why we are so lucky to have PTS as people on here really are amazing.  :-* :-*

Take as much time as you need. I'm glad that you have such a tight support network with your husband and daughter.

We will be here whenever you need to take a breather.  :-*

So nice to see you on here and taking some time for yourself. I've been keeping you and your family in my thoughts all day, and I was listening to a song earlier with a line that I thought fitted well: 'So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten'. Know that everyone is rooting for you and wishing you well at this tough time. I look forward to seeing you back soon, but in the meantime please take care.

Sometimes, I'm really glad that my mum is not a reader!

Last year, my cousin posted a holiday photo of her dad, sitting at a cafe table while his 6, 10 and 12yo grandchildren played in the background. There was a copy of FSoG on the table!

Of course, I pointed this out to my cousin (and the rest of the world - she has a LOT of FB friends!) and she denied it was his, but wouldn't say who it belonged to, so either my 72 year old uncle likes reading mummy p0rn, or my cousin was reading it - in  public! - and was too embarrassed to admit it.  :D

A guy at work today said his mum asked him to download FSoG for her.  He refused on the grounds that he was not having "that filth" on his computer, nor was she reading it.  I laughed and told him that was nothing compared to some of the stories he could download!!!

i tried to tel her it was awful But all hher friends and instagram friends were reading it.
she used to read it on the plane, so i started mocking her, and saying that everyone knew she was reading pron.
i think i said so many times how awful it was and told her i was buying her a vibrator, since she was cool now that she was getting embarassed. >:D >:D
she would travel and not take it with her, so it was taking her forever to read it. i think she lost her mojo.

Ok ladies,

So those of you have read EP,  have you also read all the outtakes? ( i was browsing the uploaded index when i saw them all)   I have yet to read EP and I was wondering if I should also add the outtakes to my list.

I read EP as a WIP - I loved it, but don't want to read it again, because I think it would spoil how much I enjoyed it. I have Sempre, but am reluctant to read it too!

My advice is to see if you are enjoying EP - if you crave more (which I certainly did when it was a WIP), then grab the outtakes. I usually don't read outtakes, but I did read them for EP.

In reality, I am a twific hoarding tragic - yep...I have the outtakes  ;)

I can't stop laughing! I thought you were saying she wouldn't take her vibrator with her when she travelled and wondered just how close of a family you are :D :D

Who??? Me???

PS - the fic Lauren is referring to is A Child Is Born by Pennypattz. It's on the index. Here's my legal disclaimer: I AM NOT rec'ing it - it is all sorts of kinky weird! I cannot help it if Lauren is too curious for her own good!!!
