I noticed that the author took Animate Me down 

I have it in my TBR list , but I remember somebody here said that

Work of Art was a really good story.  That said, I did have some problems with stuff in it.  But it has an HEA. Though the angst causing stuff annoyed me a bit. They really weren't a couple until maybe 3/4 of the way through?

But overall I would rec it.

I tried to read Work of Art but I gave up, I don't remember why. And I liked Dodge and Burn.

So I just noticed I got smote!

You are nice!  Ignore the smite because the source is either an idiot or overly sensitive. 

Okay - I'm reading a published book (well, it could be self-published) and she keeps using the term "chocked" in a context that seems to mean having your mouth kept  open with some type of instrument.  The dictionary I checked did not have the word at all.  I've seen the word used as a misspelling of choked, but not in the context used in this book.  Is this word commonly used in some other country/culture? The writer does not seem to be unfamiliar with the English language.  Am I missing something?  Or am I justified in my wrath at this author's failure in the use of correct English?  Admittedly, the book is otherwise literate.  This particular word really gets my knickers in a twist.

Just in case anyone can't be bothered to read through the barely legible tweets, she essentially claims she met Rob in a club where he told her she looked younger than 28, and that he and Kristen were friends with benefits only. She then slept with him, apparently he was terrible, and then afterward she asked him for money to keep it quiet. He refused for obvious reasons and she then decided to sell her woe-is-me story so she could pay rent on her apartment.

A riveting tale, of course.

Well, my husband works with planes and they wedge chocks under the tires to keep it from moving.  Maybe it's a BDSM term for something that keeps your mouth from closing?

You can chock you door, chock a wheel (so your bike, car doesn't roll away while you change your tire) but I've never heard it used in the context of someone's mouth!

In England, we use 'chocker' when something is full. Maybe she's turned it into a past participle? It would make sense to say 'her mouth was chocked with such and such' when it was filled with something, for example.

Thank you, ladies, you've taught me something today.  I guess I'll hold off on the wrath for now.  While I don't think it's a great term for what she's trying to say, I can now see how it MIGHT be permissible.
