She seems so classy compared to other young actresses, especially those who have appeared in another popular movie series based on a book (aka SAF!)

I have no real issue with FSoG as a work of fiction, and actually liked MOTU as a WIP. In fact, I think FSoG made a big contribution to making women's literature actually acceptable, rather than something that was kept hidden under the pillow and never discussed.

I don't think it is an example of good writing, plot, BDSM lifestyles, anything really, but for many women it was titillating and empowered them to discuss their sexuality, so it's not all bad.

I can't imagine how they will turn it into a movie, unless it has an R rating. The male actors that they keep naming are all getting too old to play Christian, and Ana has to be so young and innocent that they need a really good actress who can pull that off.

I love Ryan Gosling and Ian Somerhalder, but picturing either of them with Hermione Granger is a bit too icky!

And Matt Bomer is pretty, but my gaydar would be pinging if I had to watch him as Christian Gray!

I also don't like the way EL James conducted herself with all of the lawsuits, or how she treated the fandom once she was published.
So you don't want Rob to play the part, then we could have Hermoine Granger and Cedric Diggory!

And poor Ella, but she seems to be happy cos she lost some weight.

30DS would have helped with the weight loss too, Ella!

However, to avoid coughing up a lung, I'll excuse you until you're feeling better.

Which I hope is soon

Just keep those germs on your side of the world!

Yes! I agree with everything you say, I actually loved the FF.n series... I read them as a WIP so then it wasn't as bad. And I remember the author saying in various occasion that she would never publish her stuff, blah.. blah...blah

But maybe I dreamed about that, so all that stuff that she was talking crap abut the fandom was actually true? I've read some thing but I've never put much thought into it.

And I hope Ryan Gosling doesn't do the part of Christian, I mean it would be like a dream come true to many, but I don't want him ruined
too. I don't know why I keep thinking this stupid movie will ruin people for me!!! Gawd I'm just crazy, Ignore me  :D :D

Rob is Rob.

Emma is Hermione.

I'd watch Rob in anything, but I don't want him to do FSoG - I think it reinforces the Twilight role.

Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say???

Yep! Tena = Depends

Honey and Ginger? It was the only way I could get any sleep - I'd shred the ginger, pour boiling water on it, stir in some honey and then sip it in bed.

One night,  I was in bed (sitting up because lying down brought on a coughing fit), and I heard a bird whistling. I thought that was odd, because you don't hear birds whistle at night. I heard it again, and held my breath so that I could listen to it. It stopped whistling.

This went on for a minute or two before I realised that it wasn't a bird - the whistle was my chest wheezing!  :-[ :-[ :-[

Lol.

I once had a really bad cough I got a muscle pulled on my back. I had to wear this strap thing. It ended up being so tight that it gave me blisters from when I would cough and it would move. That wasn't fun.

But I never lose my appetite when I get sick.
I have to be literally on my deathbed to lose my appetite.

Once when I had food poising, a bad one, I just couldn't eat on the first day. Second day I wasn't ok yet but my appetite was just fine. So not even that made me lose weight.

She was really popular in the fandom - even had a fandom funded trip from England to the US! - but then got into a nasty twitter war with another author (I can't remember who, but it was another well-known twific writer - HunterHunting? AngstGoddess? Someone of that calibre) and then she really turned on the fandom, making comments about ff readers being stupid, etc.

I think she is the reason so many people are hostile about p2p fics, rather than supporting them for being brave enough to take it mainstream.

Yer, you have to be careful what you say.  Even innocent remarks will be turned to smut.  ;D Would quote what I said, but she will be on it in a flash. Don't you just love it, she never misses a trick! :D

Yes! The fact that everybody knows that the story initially was based on Twilight characters reinforces Rob's role in the Twilight saga...surely there'll be a large number of readers that just thought of him while reading the fanficition and then the books!

Back from a shitty day at Uni. It rained all morning, which we need but was still kinda rubbish. I had to do a crap tonne of boring reading on Computational Linguistics and corpus data, then find time to stress about my essay due on Monday. To top all that off I forgot my lunch and only had my huge cake to eat, so I got a tummy ache from all the sugar. Gloriously crap day, I hope it's not a sign for the week. I have to take my little bro to the Royal Children's tomorrow so I'll be there all bloody day too...I need to rant/ scream/ cry and then sleep and pretend that I don't have a 20, 000 word thesis hanging over my head.

Anywho, now that is over...

I need some advice.

im taking some online classes.
The reasoning logic teacher is slipping up on his grammar.

he did two major ones, and one of them he already said it 5 times in the video im watching right now.
Its the kind of mistake uneducated people make.

should i write an email telling him or the course supervisor about it?
or just let it go?
i cant think of an example in english to compare.
 :021: :021: :021: :021:

its so distracting, because he keeps repeating it.

Oh my word. The Grammar Nazi in my could not let this slide, I would have pulled all my hair out. If it's not hampering your understanding of the material then I don't think you should e-mail his supervisor and unless it's a serious grammar flaw/ faux pas then I would suggest you probably shouldn't email him about it directly. Academics can be a sensitive bunch and you don't want to miss out cause you bruised his precious ego; just wait for the unit evaluation and completely slaughter him in it, that's what I've done in the past.

There's one on my very long TBR list that has Edward as a Chef & Bella has an eating disorder.   - found it!
A Constant in the Darkness  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Author: camoozle
Bella, suffering from an eating disorder, returns to Forks to care for her estranged father. She seeks comfort in Edward, an aspiring chef, who is having difficulty dealing with his own demons. AH, AU, OOC, B/E
Rated: Fiction M - English - Angst/Hurt/Comfort - Bella & Edward - Chapters: 36 - Words: 351,739 - Reviews: 3,165 - Favs: 2,619 - Follows: 1,321 - Updated: 04-16-10 - Published: 06-02-09 - Status: Complete - id: 5107950

I have not read this, however, Camoozle has good reviews.

I have read this and I remember quite enjoying it. It was quite Angsty and if I remember rightly did a 'New Moon' but overall it was one I would probably read again. It's certainly worth a read, and the sensitive topic of EDs is dealt with very well. I was suitably impressed.

Please educate me! What exactly are corn dogs?

I had always imagined them to be like what we call "Dagwood Dogs" or "Pluto Pups" but we can only get these at "The Show", which is what I imagine a state fair to be like.

I don't know anyone that could eat 2 Dagwood Dogs so I'm thinking I am completely wrong, or our dogs are just really big.

Actually, I don't know anyone who would really want to eat 2 Dagwood Dogs - once you get past the deliciously greasy crispy batter and the tomato sauce, you don't want to think about the mystery meat hot dog sausage inside!

I know! I was confuzzled when I was first in America, but let me educate you on the difference. A Dagwood dog is one of those red skinned frankfurters that is dipped in your usual Aussie fish and chip batter made with beer/ soda water and flour then greased up in the deep fat fryer.

A corn dog on the other hand is just what the name implies (Corn Bread Hot Dog), it's your average American Style hot dog sausage dipped in corn bread batter and then deep fried in the same grease as your average aggie show dagwood.

All together different from what I first thought it might be, which was something similar to a Corn Jack which is an Aussie fish & chip shop delicacy consisting of creamed corn in a chiko roll skin (that is a kind of spring roll dough...it's hard to explain) that is then deep fried. I was going to say it's a bit like the Macca's apple pie batter, but I don't recall the USA Macca's pies being deep fried like ours...

EDT: Because this grammar Nazi clearly needs to go to bed a quit typing...

Everything is better when it is deep fried! Everything except my skin and my arse! And maybe my heart!
