Is Of Kith and Kin great?  I've been seeing it recommended in several different spots, but I noticed it only popped up once in this big discussion thread.

Of Kith and King was a really great story, short and to the point. It also subtly (more like a sub-plot, if I'm not mistaken) refers to a mostly sensitive issue () and I appreciated the way the author dealt with the whole theme without going over the top. Definatelly in my top ten stories. Brace yourself, Edward is kind of a jerk...

I haven't even realised who was causing the problem to be honest. Since authors started pulling stories left and right for no good reason, I've been wondering what was the deal. I always blamed FF.net, but apparently they are just part of the problem. I hope they just installed an over 18 filter and get over with it...

I've tried searching for fanfiction (both twilight and non-twilight) in other sites (AO3, TWCS etc) but, damn! FF.net is by far the most "hospitable" site there is... (Does that make any sense? English is not my first language... )

From what I understand, it is the easiest to post at.  Twilighted is the worst because they have to approve everything.  Mostly they want you to use their betas and I understand the wait is long.  I've heard TWCS is not bad.  But there will be a learning curve.  Also you can read on FFnet without signing in, so it makes it easy for people who read on computers that aren't their own.

FFnet has an "Adult" site as well.  They state if you want to post MA stories you should post it there.  But who wants to work with 2 sites. 

Some of the writers who had a story or two pulled, pulled the rest of their stuff in protest.  We actually tried a protest, but it was hard to organize.  For one weekend, no one was supposed to go to the site.  They lose advertising dollars. 

So it is all very frustrating.

I guess you mean "user friendly" and i have to agree with you.    It is so much easier to navigate, search, download and read there. This is why i only ever use ffnet for my fanfics. I tried twilighted, TWCS, ADF and AO3 a handful of times and i never went back. absolutely love it more when the stories are posted in the threads here or a fanfic link was provided so i could easily download them.

Thanks!  I enjoy a shorter fic once in a while!   Is Edward permanently a jerk or does he come around after a while?

I'm not a major fan of guys hands probably coz most guys I know have small, dumpy rough hands.

JDepp as 50 is not a bad choice, he's got that smirk and that glint in his eye that suggests he'd be up to try just about anything. IMO, 50 is more hard body toned than muscle-bound
RobPorn was just what the Dr ordered, hip gyration, finger thrusting and last but def. not least tongue twisting action. What more could one ask for.

Lol, I'm only that adventurous is because the nuns kept telling me when I was younger that I was going to hell for being a sinner.
So I might as well as fun on my way there!! 
My hubby has given up complaining about me coming on here and reading as he knows I'll make it up to way or another anyway.

The only problem I have with Johnny Depp is his age.  He is still hot, but Edward Christian is supposed to be something of a child prodigy.  So, it doesn't really work for me.

My husband reads almost as much as I do.  It is one thing we have in common LOL!  He only complains if it interferes with things like helping him make dinner.
