Look what I bought at my local grocery store!!!

So excited!
I love Cherry Coke Zero.  I get it whenever I find it.   ;D

And I really want some chocolate right now.  What was I thinking when I didn't buy any the other day.  It's all well and good to buy veggies and hummus to keep in the hotel fridge, but really? I need some chocolate. :( :17:

Not me. I'm a real bitch!

And when other people p iss me off, I can think of the bitchiest, meanest and wittiest things to say...about 2 hours after the conversation has ended!

I'm back after taking the kids to the pools and thankfully it didn't reach the expected 42 deg's!

Lol I know what you mean astro. I'm exactly the same. I keep repeating what others said in my head and I think of the best comebacks!!

I love coke zero but I'm afraid to try new flavours! I wouldn't go near the vanilla coke zero but after all these comments on how good cherry flavored coke is I might have to try it. The first time I saw cherry coke at woolies I thought of E in EP. MY FANFIC WORLD CROSSED OVER INTO RL AND JUST ABOUT FREAKED ME OUT!!

I didn't like vanilla coke. The girl at the checkout at Woolies commented when she saw it that she liked vanilla coke but Cherry Coke tasted like cough syrup.

My brother poured my cherry coke into his bourbon by mistake - and then made me taste it.

Yep Cherry Coke + Bourbon = cough medicine.  :sign0137:

Cherry Coke on its own with ice = yum! Specially when it's 6:35pm and 36C!

Carano has finished O Holy Christmas and has posted the pdf with pictures on her blog You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

She has also started a new one:

Masen Rules You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Sometimes rules do more harm than good. Sometimes they're meant to be broken. Bella takes a risk and sets out to break the most important rule of them all. Well, it's the most important one to the Masens.

Even though I didn't like More, I'll be reading these - I've enjoyed so many of her other fics.

Aaand, she has written some futuretakes and outtakes: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I loved O Holy Christmas - it was quick and funny. The accent was great!

Actually, I used to love a show called Round the Twist that was on the BBC over here but I don't think they make it anymore. Had a family living in a lighthouse? I miss it :(

Round the Twist is/was the most awesome show ever! I loved that show when I was a child, Bronson was awesome... I was actually just down where they filmed it last week, or near it, on the Great Ocean Road at Aireys Inlet and Split Point Lighthouse. Our Holiday house is further down the Great Ocean Road.

My favourite Aussie TV programme now is Offspring. And before that it was Rush and Sea Patrol. I'm not a huge TV fan though, so I always forget to watch them...

Summer time - the sun's up at 4:45, and it was nearly 30C (86F)at 6:00am.

Urgh! I don't know how you can deal with not having Daylight Saving. If the sun rose here at 4:45 I'd have a fit! As it is 6am is far to early for the sun to be up!

Not ignorant - there is a world-wide misconception that Australia is this tiny little Gilligan's island size country.
My dad had an agent from Georgia, US who was coming to Aust for a week with his family. There plan was to hire a car, drive from Sydney to Brisbane, meet for a day with my Dad, drive to the Great Barrier Reef, then Ayers Rock and then fly out of Melbourne.

If they didn't sleep, eat or pee, they wouldn't do it in 2 weeks! Sydney to Brisbane alone is a good 12 hour drive - 3 days if you want to do it comfortably.

I met some US tourists in Melbourne who thought they'd be able to drive to Perth and back, and see Perth in 3 days...I was like, nah bro, you do know it's 3,420 km away by car yeah? I mean it's 4 hours on the plane, so 42 hours of non-stop driving and you'd be there. Easy! I won't mention that you have to drive through the desert...

Now I want candy. And soda. But I'm on the soda wagon, so no soda for me.

But yaaay for finding Cherry Coke and yummy chocolate!

I'm also of the opinion that Cherry Coke tastes like medicine! Icky! But then I don't like Coke or any soft drinks aside from Passiona! Mmm.

I always found it amusing that Americans call chocolate bars 'candy bars'. To me chocolate is chocolate, it's confectionery but not 'candy' (a lolly or sweet in Aus).

My favourite American Lollies are Sweet Tarts and Candy Corn. Although my guilty pleasure is Lucky Charms. You don't really get lolly cereals here in Aus (aside from Coco Pops, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and Fruit Loops), although other cereals are still quite sweet, and I spend a lot of money to get my hands on Lucky Charms. Although I eat them for dessert (ed: Dessert, not desert...I need to proof read, I blame the heat stroke  :-[) not breakfast...

I'm not a big chocolate eater to be honest but I love the odd chewy sweet, Maynard's Wine Gums or Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles. I have found that US sweets (candy) and food-stuff taste completely different from the stuff we get here in the UK, and the reason, I've discovered, is the restriction we have in the UK on the kind of additives a manufactures can use, E numbers, colourings, preservatives etc, some of the ones allowed in the US have been removed in the UK, changing the taste of foodstuff completely.

I'm going to take this whole day (Saturday) to read from my TBR List, I've not gotten much read this week, been too busy, and I feel very deprived!

RDMickey, for ever you've been saying that Edward in Grasping Darkness was your favourite Vampward. I started reading Grasping last night and I have to say he is definitely up there, and Grasping is a really, really, great fic, Kiya rocked it! So RD thanks for that...I have been selling Vampward short, out of all the fics I've read only a handful have been vamps fics; I'm going to rectify that.

Humina! Humina! Humina!  :notes: Feeling hot! hot! hot! :notes:

Oh Demaris. I don't read a lot of vamp ones either, but I read this as a wip, and good lord *fans self* I really enjoyed it. Although I am not bashful at all (you all already knew that), I do find it hard to articulate how I feel about stories. I am usually very short and to the point. It's meaaaaayaaa, good, I love it, etc.  If I really pimp it, Grasping Darkness, Pound of Flesh, etc, then these left a lasting impression with me.

So glad you are enjoyed it, I am waiting for the sequel to get rocking too, so far it is just a build up of what is too come.

Summer time - the sun's up at 4:45, and it was nearly 30C (86F)at 6:00am.

And my brother sent me a text at 5:50 - he is working up here at the moment and is coming over for the weekend. He needs me to buy clippers - the heat is getting to him so he wants me to cut his hair.

The last time I get his hair, he cried, I got into trouble, I cried.

That was 27 years ago.

I will be discussing 5:50am texts with him, however!

Oh bb. It's not that hard. I have always cut hubs, and my two adult sons hair and I have had zero training. I have to admit though, my two sons only want a buzz cut so that is really easy. Hubs has always had Robowski haircut.

It always make me giggle when someone buys chocolate candy and a coke zero. Why not go all the way? I do understand since hubs only drinks diet or zero, but I don't like the taste. Give me the leaded version. Everyone still remembers leaded gas?

We don't really use "candy" in Australia - we use "lolly".

(Well, we do use "candy", but like I said before, only in the anatomical sense  ;))

We do say "candy cane" for those horrible little mint things you get at Christmas but apart from that it's "lolly" - for hard or soft sweets. We do use "chocolate" too, but chocolates are lollies as well.

We all know what candies are though - thanks to American TV we've become very Americanised, especially the younger generations. Sweet biscuits are cookies and peanut paste is peanut butter.

Peanut paste will always be peanut paste for me (mainly because my inner 12 year old boy likes to say "penis paste"  :D :D :D).

I'm with you on the savoury - if I snack when I drink, I go for nuts or pretzels.

I'm also a cheese platter freak!

My addiction at the moment - I cut the tops of fresh jalapeno chillies and take out some of the seeds and membrane, then stuff it with cream cheese and wrap in bacon. Then stick it on the BBQ (or in the oven) for about 30 mins - the cheese goes all melty and the bacon goes all crispy and the chillies...yum! It's a bit like Russian Roulette though - sometimes they're really mild, and then the next one will blow your brains out!

Perfect on a hot day with a cold beer. I always make a big batch to take to parties and BBQs, but I also stuff and wrap mushrooms for the wussies who don't do chillies.

It is funny how everyone calls items differently. I spewed my coffee over peanut paste.  :D

That's me, I put sweetener in my coffee/tea and then have a piece of cake or a biscuit!  :D I remember leaded petrol  :D :D
