Ok, I just wondered as you seem to be talking to yourself a lot during the day!  I suppose that's your evening though - that sucks.  Are there not a lot of Aussies on here then?

I'm an Aussie! I've just recently  found my voice here - I was lurking for a while trying to work up the courage to say hi. Stupid huh?

Btw It's almost 1pm here in Sydney.
The way to a woman's heart is a long road; but chocolate is a shortcut.

I was a lurker too!  I was really sceptical about joining a board as i can't abide bitchiness.  Everyone I have spoken to on here has been friendly and welcoming though.  I have never laughed so much!

It's 9:09 PM Friday here in South Carolina.

There's this other message board that I'm on that has this big clock that can be adjusted to show the time zones of lots of different areas in the world, I love that, I always know what time it is for other members.

That would be handy as I get very confused  Back 5/8, Forward 10/11.  All I know is that it is 02.15 and I really need to sleep!
Speak to you all later.x

Remember those pics of Rob when he was shooting Cosmopolis and had half his head shaved?
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Well.. please don't drink too much rum before you cut your brother's hair, for his sake :D

:D :D :D I'll print it out and leave it lying on the bench in the bathroom, beside the clippers.

I prefer this one.

Ha - I figured out how to attach eventually - I won't duplicate next time!

Good job on the attaching. That's a hot picture.

You'll be embedding before you know it!
Especially with these awesome instructions  ;)

Oh thanks for reminding me to go back and look at the pictures! I was in the bedroom with hubby and kiddo earlier, so I had to rush past them.

I think it's fascinating to hear where everyone is from, what time it is and different words you all use.

I can't even begin to figure out what time/day you all are on compared to me. All I know is that it's 8:18 on Friday night here :)

When I visited my friend in Austin, I flew out of Ohio to Houston and then into Austin (Houston and Austin are both in TX just in case you weren't familiar). IIRC it was about a 45 min to an hour just between the cities in Texas lol.

To get me from Ohio to Las Vegas took almost 5 hours via flight. Took fooooorrrrrever

What I find confusing is the crazy hours that some of you keep. If I was up reading or chatting at 3:00 am like some of you, I'd never be able to go to work the next day!

I have to start resetting my body clock for when school goes back. During the week, I aim for bed by 8:30-9pm and up at 5am.

I hardly ever drink soft drink! I bought a bottle of Cherry Coke when I saw it last week.

I've had more soft drink in the last week, than probably in the last year!

I usually mix my vodka with mineral water and lime, or occasionally with cranberry juice and mineral water.

I don't NEED chocolate! And I don't eat it often. These little packets will last me for months. They'll be my special little treats on the PMS days.

You're picture of coke and chocolates made my mouth water. I remembered i haven't eaten and its 11 am already. Will just wait til i get to my lunch with friends. But what i would like more with soda are Cheetos, Lay's and Pringles. I LERV them crunchy chips  >:D

It amuses me how we use diff words for common items. Americans use "candy" instead of "chocolate". Here, and i guess in Oz, what we call candies are the hard ones like lifesavers, werther's butterscotch etc. Reese's, twix, M & Ms are chocolate to us. :)

I'm a stay at home mom and a night owl, it's not unusual at all for me to read til 3-4 am, get the kids up for school, then nap til noon my time.

I have a baad soda habit. It was just about the only thing I drank til I quit them altogether this summer. I did really well til the holidays, but have stopped again (mostly) since new years. Now I only drink one when I eat dinner out somewhere because their water is usually nasty, and I just don't like iced tea. I do just fine so long as we don't buy Coke. I can pass by just about anything else, but if there is any form of Coke in the house, I'll be drinking it.

We don't really use "candy" in Australia - we use "lolly".

(Well, we do use "candy", but like I said before, only in the anatomical sense  ;))

We do say "candy cane" for those horrible little mint things you get at Christmas but apart from that it's "lolly" - for hard or soft sweets. We do use "chocolate" too, but chocolates are lollies as well.

We all know what candies are though - thanks to American TV we've become very Americanised, especially the younger generations. Sweet biscuits are cookies and peanut paste is peanut butter.

Peanut paste will always be peanut paste for me (mainly because my inner 12 year old boy likes to say "penis paste"  :D :D :D).

I'm with you on the savoury - if I snack when I drink, I go for nuts or pretzels.

I'm also a cheese platter freak!

My addiction at the moment - I cut the tops of fresh jalapeno chillies and take out some of the seeds and membrane, then stuff it with cream cheese and wrap in bacon. Then stick it on the BBQ (or in the oven) for about 30 mins - the cheese goes all melty and the bacon goes all crispy and the chillies...yum! It's a bit like Russian Roulette though - sometimes they're really mild, and then the next one will blow your brains out!

Perfect on a hot day with a cold beer. I always make a big batch to take to parties and BBQs, but I also stuff and wrap mushrooms for the wussies who don't do chillies.

Carano has finished O Holy Christmas and has posted the pdf with pictures on her blog You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

She has also started a new one:

Masen Rules You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Sometimes rules do more harm than good. Sometimes they're meant to be broken. Bella takes a risk and sets out to break the most important rule of them all. Well, it's the most important one to the Masens.

Even though I didn't like More, I'll be reading these - I've enjoyed so many of her other fics.

Aaand, she has written some futuretakes and outtakes: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
