Sorry - dob - um...to "tattle" on someone?

If someone does a crime and you report it, you dob on them, or you dob them in.

A dibber-bobber is a kid who tells on all the other kids, usually to get them into trouble, also a tattle-tale.

Does that help? Dob is such a normal thing to say here, it's hard to explain!

It means to squeal on someone, tattle, tell on them etc, yes?

Astro, i envy your thick hair. Since i hit 40 three years ago, i started having falling hair not to mention more white hair  :-\. Am afraid i will have bald spots soon, s h i t  i really hate growing old!!

I have quite fine hair - just soooo much of it. It's not great in warm weather though - like a blanket so I always have it up - which at the moment shows the roots that need to be retouched!

Add the humidity, and the curls get tighter and pull out of however I've tied it up.

I like to call it "cavewoman chic".

I'm around, but I'm also beta'ing a chapter for one of the writers I beta for & watching the Niners beat the Packers.   :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Okay, my luck recently has been really bad.  so hopefully they continue to lead.

And I'm at my parents where there is only a plug for internet.  Well, really? The have a wifi, but when people come to visit, my dad can't find the code for the wifi to give them, so I removed the antenna.  It works in the dining room only, so I'm kind of stuck.  :P

Usually wifi routers have a reset button in the back. Usually small, easier using a pen or like the end of a paperclip and hold for about a minute. This resets it back to default settings and you could setup a new password.

Ohhh, I have a little tuft of hair that always sticks up in the front. It's a pain if I don't wash my hair for one day  >:( It does a curly cue kinda thing and sticks out. The bloody hair doesn't grow, always the same length...

I like learning "new speak/words" makes me feel smart when I use them and other people look at me with a WTF face *cheeses*

I'm judging you on how you spelled 'right' *giggles* ILY  :-*

 :-[

Oh no, that's how we right it in Australia!  :D

And I can't even blame auto-correct on my phone for that!

You know, as an OCD teacher, I had to go back and correct it. :P

My inner 12 year old boy just wet himself laughing!

I'm guessing that's football?

Here in Australia, the wifi boxy thing (yes - that IS the technical term!) has a sticker on the underside that has the code on it.
Yup! American football to be precise.  Which, other than when they quick off, punt, kick field goals or points after touchdowns, there are no feet connecting with balls. Well, the balls that contain air.  I'm not sure how often feet connect with balls when they are all in the tackles...

It depends on if it is the one that comes from the internet provider.  Mine at home has a code on it.  The ones you buy at the store don't have a code usually.

*snort* I have all of the girls in the Gangnam Style video in my head...

Uggh, puhleazze! Japs and Kors are known to be first world countries and more fashionable (read quirky fashion taste)... but i always cringe seeing asians with blonde hair... add a fat asian body with blonde hair? Soooo wrong!  :P  I blew up to a size 18 and am now a size 12 (long story, allergies + steriods= good year blimp) so am still overweight... So i don't understand how a big girl will draw attention to themselves like that.

Just yesterday, i was at a mall and saw this mid 20s girl in high heels, Layered skirt that stops an inch below her butt, sleeveless blouse, almost blonde hair and she is the size of rosie o'donnell!  :wtf: I told my daughter i give her permission to smack me in the face if i ever step out of the house looking like that!

Yes - although I thought you only "squealed" if you were a gangster in the 1940's! ;)

Curly cue? Like this week's Whopping Weasil on Cheryl Brook's blog?

I think I'm spending too much time there  :(

I've been gone for a couple of days and it took me forever to catch up with you chatty cathies.  Just a couple of responses.

I've been to Brisbane!  Yay!  Didn't really see much of it though.  My husband and I decided to go to Australia for its bicentennial.  The World Expo was going on in Brisbane that year.  We spent most of our time in Sydney, saw a little of Melbourne and the few days we were in Brisbane were all spent at the World Expo.  We traveled around by train.  We'd do overnights on the train so we could sleep while we traveled.  All 3 cities were vastly different from each other.  I'd gladly go back except for the enormous amount of time it takes to get from Texas to Australia.

Leaded coke is the only way to go.  That diet stuff leaves a nasty aftertaste.  But, with all the sugar I have to limit myself to about one a week.  Also, I've switched to Mexican cokes because they still use real cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.  After reading The Omnivore's Dilemma and a few other things about the American food system, I've decided that high fructose corn syrup and feeding corn to cattle is the work of the devil.  I'm trying to keep processed foods and corn fed beef out of my house.

Also, loved, loved, loved Faking It and The Wedding Party by spanglemaker9 and recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them.

My husband is a blonde and while he has gone very gray, no one seems to notice but me.  As a brunette, the gray shows a bit more, but I'm pretending it's highlights although it may be approaching streaks.  A little dye job may be in my near future.

If Rob and Kristen are truly splitting up, then all of us who preferred to believe they were together for publicity purposes will be vindicated.  Otherwise, we'll have to come up with some other excuse for it.

I'm very excited.  I'm betaing my first story.  And it's for someone who has knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation.  This does limit my usefulness, but it makes me happy.

I have the password.  My dad would call me.  I've reset it for him a few times.   This was just so much easier since I live 400 miles away.

And my dad is fairly computer literate.  So it was really annoying.

It is funny when my sister visits with my nieces and nephews and they all huddle around the table LOL!

There is hardly any "foot" in any of our codes of football either, except for soccer which we call soccer and not football.

Most Aussie men spend too much time playing with their balls anyway!
