Ohhh, I have a little tuft of hair that always sticks up in the front. It's a pain if I don't wash my hair for one day  >:( It does a curly cue kinda thing and sticks out. The bloody hair doesn't grow, always the same length...

Isn't that what Elvis Presley popularized as the "Kiss Me"?  :D Put gel on it and twist it towards your forehead, like Elvis and Superman  ;)

Curly cue? Like this week's Whopping Weasil on Cheryl Brook's blog?

I think I'm spending too much time there  :(

I've been gone for a couple of days and it took me forever to catch up with you chatty cathies.  Just a couple of responses.

I've been to Brisbane!  Yay!  Didn't really see much of it though.  My husband and I decided to go to Australia for its bicentennial.  The World Expo was going on in Brisbane that year.  We spent most of our time in Sydney, saw a little of Melbourne and the few days we were in Brisbane were all spent at the World Expo.  We traveled around by train.  We'd do overnights on the train so we could sleep while we traveled.  All 3 cities were vastly different from each other.  I'd gladly go back except for the enormous amount of time it takes to get from Texas to Australia.

Expo 88 was Brisbane's puberty - it went from sleepy, country town to a real city - although most southerners would say it's still just a sleepy, country town!

I lived in Brisbane until I was in my mid 20s and then moved to a real  country town - I'm talking pub, post office, shop and school and 100kms from anywhere. THAT was a sleepy, country town!

I'm very excited.  I'm betaing my first story.  And it's for someone who has knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation.  This does limit my usefulness, but it makes me happy.

Can you promote? Savvy, can you?

Even though I have WIP-phobia, if they're well-written, I'll add them to my stalk list!

Just stick a big flower clip on top of it!

Oooo - or wear a hat! That could be your "thing".

I sometimes wish I could wear a burqa - no more dramas with hair, make up, hormonal skin that still thinks I'm a teenager, and no worries about sunburn!

Talk about shocking the PTA! (do yall have the PTA there??)

So I'm reading The Bond of Brotherhood, and it's kinda frustrating me. On the one hand, it feels like it's moving at warp speed, and on the other hand, Jasper is pissing me off with all this back and forth guilt stuff.  It's making me crazy with myself!

I went to Australia with my husband more than 14 yrs ago, before we had kids. Went to sydney for 2 days, spent a day in brisbane and then 4 days in the gold coast. My husband and i like theme parks and touring landmarks (we're not much into shopping). We rode that ride in the gold coast (was it dreamland?) that shot up straight into the air (was it tower of terror?). The ride lasted about 15 seconds and everyone was screaming, the ride back down was scarier for me bec the coaster was going backwards, what a rush! Holding a koala bear was great but was worried the poor animal will die as i can just imagine how many tourist get to carry him every day. not a fan of lamb as food though and i was amazed at how fast those blokes shear their wool without hurting them. Would have wanted to go back to Oz with the kids, finally get to see Melbourne, but have to save up quite a bit to make that a reality any time soon.

Talk about shocking the PTA! (do yall have the PTA there??)

We have a P&C (Parents and Citizens Association) - basically for fund raising and token school decision making.

I doubt anyone even looks at our website - I have to redo it this year because central office has changed the system that I have only just gotten used to.

Not looking forward to that - if you haven't already guessed, I don't like technology! :33:

The first school I taught at was only 15 minutes away from Dreamworld. We used to take the kids there a few times a year - for educational purposes, of course. We'd see the tigers and then the kids wold go feral for the rest of the day on all the rides.

The high Aussie $ is making a dent in our tourism market but if any of you do come visit, I have spare rooms - if you want to come to Whoop Whoop!

not sure why I bother with the spoilers. Everyone is gonna click on them anyway.

It is not the best grammer in the world, but I have definitely read much much worse. One author writes one point of view and the other author writes the other.
It is funny, hawt, and angsty.
