That was me. It only gets better. Normally sequels are not as good, not the case here. they are all great
All her stuff is on my TBR list, but Nature of Love is the first I've read.  So far I'm really enjoying it.  ;D

You're right I should have prefaced my post with IN MY OPINION

'Truth first and foremost' absolutely, I'm not saying lets all stick our head in the sand and pretend that certain women don't have certain issues; shite, we all have issues! I'm just saying let's cut ourself some slack and be prepares to see the good in a woman before jumping to gleefully highlight all the bad. I'm not really thinking of KS or any celebrity really, as I think their lives comes with label which say '*warning* expect judgement, criticism and no privacy' once you signed on the dotted line, don't start wailing and gnashing your teeth later when you don't like it.

But to answer your other point regarding "jealousy? A life too ordinary, too boring  less lived, less  significant? IMO  there is truth in what you've said, though I think that, again, it goes back to the media we are surrounded by and consume. If you are constantly being bombarded with unattainable ideals and being made to believe that they are attainable and the fact that you can't attain them is because you are too lazy or too stupid or too 'other', well, nothing good can come from that.....Every bit of beauty advertising/ company makes money by making you feel like shit...How can I possibly like myself? And taking the point further, how can I like another woman, who I have been taught to always view as 'the competition'?

Again, just my opinion, but this is a topic close to my heart so...feel free to remove me from you buddy list  :D
And this brings up a problem I've had in the past.  I have a fashion background but now work in the stick up your ass business of accounting/auditing.  So how do I tell some of these young girls that though their clothes are very cute, it isn't really appropriate for the job they are in?  Although, in some instances? What they are wearing is really not appropriate - doing an inventory in short skirts and high heels - well it is not comfortable.  You walk miles during an inventory.

But well, how do you say this without coming across as, well, disapproving?  It's easier when I know them a bit.  Sigh.  And then I have to listen to the guys commenting.  And not in a good way. Because no matter how smart these girls are? The way they dress makes the guys think they are stupid. Which goes back to the original problem.  Yeah.  *kicks soapbox*

Ella, maybe you can't tell them, maybe it is something they can only learn with maturity; but the fact that you are discussing it in a positive way, and when I say 'positive' I mean you want to advice/help-4417 them, and not thinking about them in a derogative way is, as far as I'm concern, all I'm talking about.. I just believe, think kinder thoughts (these women already have the men and their less than complimentary views, they don't need ours, and yes, even if they brought it on themselves) and stick up for each of each other a bit more...I love women, not in a sexual way (sorry, Penis-R-Us), but I am a great admirer of women. Just look at us, we are so mother-NOT ALLOWED strong! Look at the shit we are able to cope with individually? Is there any one of us that doesn't know a woman how carries the world on her shoulders and still keeps walking? There are very few men who have the fortitude of a woman....Women are the best thing on this green earth! OK, that's my lot, I feel like I'm about to break out into Kumbaya! * setting fire to soapbox!*

Ok so maybe my comments to incite/encourage a healthy discourse was not a smart move. I understand how strongly you feel and believe me, I Do NOT disagree with your opinions. Go D, I am woman hear me roar.
I like that you are a strong fervent and firm in your comments. Why would I want to remove you from a buddy list? You are smart and always make inciteful comments. I love that! Peace sister, and be heard whenever you feel the need. You have strength and conviction in your beliefs and trust, I am with you.

Just finished reading a few of CaraNo's stories

The first one This Life. Although I really liked it but some parts not so much. There were a few chapters that I would edit but hey! What do I know, I don't have the courage to write my ideas and put them out there, anyway getting back to the fic. Overall I loved it specially how Bella was characterized, she was strong, sassy, snarky and didn't take any bs
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

And then I went and read Fall and Rise which by the way I cried dang sad story, personally I wanted to flounce
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
*sigh* but I'm a glutton for this angsty stories so I kept reading although I did skip a few parts, overall it was ok but I wouldn't rec'd it all the way (see spoiler)

Anyway going to read either the Cullen Campaign or The Demons in my Dreams I'll flip a coin or read both (one at work and the other one at home) lol I have a short attention span so yeah probably will read both

Blood & Glory is the first story in the series. ;D

I just looked up the author you listed.  So maybe I should say, the Gravity series we were talking about is by drotuno.   I would not make you read a Jake/Renesmee story  :D :P

Just saw something about a new twific competition:

They're the three little words millions of lonely hearts long to hear. Words that imply a great deal of mutual trust, caring, and comfort. Words that could change your love life forever...

Awww...that sounds lovely!

Probably one of the best fics I've read in ages, I actually preferred it to Dusty (and I loved that fic)  :o
I loved how B&E had to fight for they had and wanted and how it wasn't "perfect".

Reading You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login by bornonhalloween atm - quite liking it, did take me about a chapter and a half to get into it and most chapters are about 30 pages.  ;D
But it's definitely worth the read.  :)

Thanks to whoever rec'd it!

I'm reading this and it's annoying me so much how Edward talks to Bella during s.e.x.

Then I read her profile, she is 17 yo.

Why the hell would a 17 yo would be writing about being called a bit.ch and s.lut during s.ex?

Ps: this have nothing to do with the whole gender discussion. As I mentioned before I'm not going to defend women just because she is a woman.

I read this yesterday and I agree with you.  Also hands round the throat is a big no no for me.
The age of the author does not surprise me as the writing seemed immature.

Good for you d_d! You've made me so proud!

I bookmarked this fact sheet (attached) a few years ago when I changed a light-bulb and then couldn't get out of bed the next day. I had to literally crawl to school, which luckily was just next door (I was living in a school residence at the time). I actually taught my class lying on the floor with my feet up against the wall because the pain of sitting and standing was too intense. At the time, I was teaching in a little one-teacher school with only 16 kids and we couldn't get a replacement teacher because of how far away we were from anything.

Anyway, I thought you might find it helpful.
