I am seriously pissed right now!  >:(

I flounced more than ten fics last night because of bad spelling, grammar errors, poor structure etc. And I flounced 5 more because the main couple has ONE steamy sex scene and falls completely in love before page 20. I don't even care to find out what happens in the next 500 pages... More sex I guess.

Its time to try out some new rec's... Can anyone please tell me the last fic they read that left them 100% satisfied?
Mentioned her on the last page, but try out some Jayeliwood if you haven't already. My favourites are The List or A Change In Direction.

Sav, C&C is decent. It was only 150 or so pages I think, so it's not too long. It's High School, Edward is the outcast and Bella's new.

I've had that for a while. I have soo many saved but flounce when I see stupid errors. Esp when they claim to have a beta. I mean their beta needs a beta.

I always assumed  I was being a witch when I thought things like that - glad I'm not the only one!

Ugh, crap. I'm gonna start and then see if I should continue. Fics like this need to be very well written IMO. There are too many fics like this out there

OMG, no no. I know there are more of us out there. And it drives me nuts when an author has a "popular" author as their beta  :-\ and it's still messed up.

Bugs me too, I have flounced so many that are so badly edited. I push my way through some of them because the story is good, but sometimes it's painful.

And has anyone else noticed that the Jasper/Bella fics seem to be far more poorly written than the Edward/Bella ones. Or maybe it's just that I notice it more because I'm mostly reading the Jasper/Bella ones.

Boo, that sucks. I don't read this pairing but maybe it's because in the books they are the main characters?

Thank you! :) I'm probably gonna read A Change in Direction next. Also, thank you for reminding me Boy in the Red Sweater, I still haven't tried that one. How heavy is the angst?

I'm probably a few pages back, but what's C&C? :P

LOL, this fic was ok. Too much hype about it when it was a WIP

I wouldn't know - I didn't know this site existed then!!  I lived a very sheltered life.

You do realise I have gone from a lowly member to an addict now don't you?  My life will never be the same again.

When I ever read again that "Bella wonders around theyre meadow with a whole in her chest because she is a part from Edward..." I'm gonna hurl...

Jasper/Bella fics are fewer than E/B fics. So you read everything, there is not so much to chose... And mostly they are not that popular, so there are fewer betas I think.

Boy in the Red Sweater has a fair amount of angst, but a lot of it is in retrospect (upset over their pasts etc). Like I said before, the A/J side storyline I could do without, but the main E/B story is very sweet and earnest.

Also, Rob is apparently one of the presenters of the Golden Globes next week. Trying to decide if I can be bothered to watch the ceremony just for that..

I read the first 3 chapters.  I have read worse but, it comes across as very predictable.  It's up to you.

Thanks! I'll read it then when I need something predictable. Sometimes I just want to read along, not having too much stress with figuring out the plot...
