My work laptop, my home laptop. I have two posters in my office. I have converted 1/2 the office into fanfics. Who knew? I must be pretty persuasive.

I know MIA again. Lets see what have I been up to? WORK.WORK.WORK.SLEEP.WORK.WORK.WORK.

See all caught up.*giggles*

Maybe I will have a few down days soon. I have to have surgery Friday, March 15.  Seems my 15 hr days has killed my elbow.  I have fought tennis elbow since July. No more cortisone for me, it's surgery. The bad thing is that it is my right arm and I cannot do a darn thing with my left.

Maybe I will have a chance to read again. Not sure what ff to start next as I wait for updates to my Wips. I am making through all of Sylvia Days books. So far, I have liked them all.

Hope everyone has been ok the past few weeks!

Well hello there, my dear! How I've missed you!

No wonder you need to have surgery - playing tennis for 15 hours every day cannot be healthy!

Oh, I should get a job on SNL with lines like that! My humour is wasted on children!

Actually, it's the first Friday night of the Football season and my boys - the Brisbane Broncos - are playing, so that means a lemonade or two have been imbibed.

And those lemonades might contain vodka.

And kahlua.

And coke.

And no lemonade.

Can you imagine what hearing the commentators say "He has beautiful hands. Look how he handles the ball." does to me???

And we're leading 14-6 at half time!

I never got the attraction of the boys from Vampire Diaries - and then I started watching it!

And the brother's not bad either!

It's not Robporn, but it'll have to do until we get some!

I know what you mean.  I just recently started watching Vampire Diaries.  I enjoyed looking at Stefan pretty quickly.  It took a little while for Damon to grow on me, but I'm into Season 2 now and can see the attraction of both.  But Rob still reigns supreme.

Did you see my plea to Matron?
My SIL knows about my fanfic addiction (somewhat) but she doesn't really get it.

We had a huge email discussion one night about ff - I kept saying how much I love it and how great it is, she kept saying it's not really her thing - and I got the vibe that she was getting quite uncomfortable with me being so into it.

Turned out that I was talking about ff as in fanfiction. She was talking about ff as in fem-fem (ie slash).

She's still not into fanfiction, but at least she's not thinking that I swing that way!

I'm a hypocrite. I don't care what age you girls are. That you are mothers etc. but it creeps me out that my mom is reading 50 shades. I'm kind of getting used to it because she just can't finish the second book. Is taking her forever.

I just don't want to think about my parents sex life.

My advice - Don't think about it.  I was shopping with my 14 year old son last weekend.  He saw the 50 shades display at Target and told me not to even think about going over to look at it.  I was really surprised that he knew anything about 50 shades.  His response was essentially, "Duh, mom.  I go on the internet.  I know it's about sex."

I might be relatively safe since it doesn't have pictures.  I feel fairly certain that most 14 year old boys are into primarily visual stimuli.  I haven't ever been a 14 year old boy, though, so I could be wrong.

Hello out there!

So I'm back from the land of the slow Internet! I use my iPhone to connect my iPad to the www however the last few weeks have been atrocious. Something about upgrades yada yada. The good thing to come out all that is that I got to read lots of fics. Lots of angsty fics. Mhmm my favourite.

Anyway, hope to catch up with you peeps later if I get the chance. MASSIVE bbq tonight at mums and I had to sneak off into the bathroom to post this as I keep getting dragged to help! How dare she lol!

Missed you all xxx

Look who else has crawled out of the woodwork! If it wasn't for these damn time zones and bloody jobs that we all insist on having, the whole gang would be here.

So far the show seems pretty incestuous.  Two brothers sharing the same woman.  Two women who look exactly alike.  All those founding families interbreeding.  Oh, wait...that sounds like some of the erotic fiction I've been reading lately.

That's when I started to close the door before I went to bed.

That's too funny.  I bet your e-mail exchange took on a whole new meaning for you once you understood her concerns.

They sure did!

I have gotten to know my sister-in-law a lot better from browsing her goodreads page.

Of course, she has to live vicariously through books because she's married to my baby brother - their 2 kids were immaculate conceptions and he still plays with his Ninja Turtle action figures and needs help tying his shoe laces.

Nobody comment on that! He's my baby brother and that's what happens. Period!!!

I'm a few eps behind at the moment (Season 4) and need to do a catch up  this weekend. Usually, I'd d/l and watch on a Friday night (it airs in the US on a Thursday I think) but now that the football season has restarted, Friday Night Football trumps VD.

Yeah - I was all about Stefan and didn't see the appeal of Damon until Season 2. Stefan has those heavy eyebrows and strong jaw that remind of someone else that I love.

I would not say no to a Rob/Stefan sandwich!

I think I was 9 or 10 when I walked in on my parents having sex.  Even now, many, many, many years later, that image is burned on my retinas.  Aarggh! I hate thinking about it.  It's creepy!

My cousin posted a photo of her kids at the beach, on facebook.

In the background, my 72 year old uncle was reading a book...

50 Shades Freed!!!

My brothers are both older and way more experienced than me, so I never had to worry about them.  My daughter, however, is in her first year of college and has a boyfriend.  I DEFINITELY can't think about that.

I felt exactly the same way. Then all the ladies at work started raving about VD and I thought I should broaden my horizons (all I had to talk about was twific - and that wasn't going to be discussed at work!) and I borrowed the DVDs for Season 1 and 2. I watched them over 2 weekends and was hooked.

Although, if I've fallen behind in watching, I don't think I must be into Season 4 as much I was into the earlier seasons.

I don't think it's just 14 yo boys! I think it's the entire species!

Isn't there some saying about women reading p0rn and men watching it?

My parents don't have sex. Neither did my grandparents. Neither do any of my siblings.

Saddest of all though...neither do I!!!

I'm sure your daughter and her boyfriend just hold hands. Maybe a peck on the cheek. But only if all their studying is complete.

When I was 15, my family went to the States. I had to share a hotel room with my sister who is 6 years older than me and her boyfriend (now husband of 22 years). Just before I fell asleep, I heard some plastic rustling and thought he must have been eating crisps. Later, I woke up and he was in the shower, which was weird - he'd already had a shower before we all went to bed.

The next morning, I discovered an empty condom wrapper on the floor, and was so grossed out I told my mum - who then gave my sister a talking to.

The ironic part is that when they tried to have kids, his sperm can't was so low and the few swimmers he had were so lazy, that they had to use IVF to conceive. And their second was from donor sperm - imported from the States!
