As effed up as that sounds I totally understand. I was in Wmart the day after BDawn was released and I decided I was gonna grab a copy. I cannot tell you how many "mature" women were grabbing copies, not one teen or twentysomething in sight. I mean I really stood back and watched this phenom. Ages ranged from middle 30's to 60's, for real. Like you, the thought crossed my mind, how many of "them" are amongst "us".
Goes to show you, age does not matter, there is a little bit (or a lot) or perviness in all of us.
Live long and prosper I say.

but how many of us have Rob as a wallpaper in your place of work??????

No shame to my game, I have a wall calendar. Yes, I get teased a lot. They don't know about my pts Ffn addiction though, that is under wraps.

I'm so far back that I'm practically in Narnia by now :D

None of my WIPs seem to be updating lately, apart from Caged. This is why I stay away!

My work laptop, my home laptop. I have two posters in my office. I have converted 1/2 the office into fanfics. Who knew? I must be pretty persuasive.

I know MIA again. Lets see what have I been up to? WORK.WORK.WORK.SLEEP.WORK.WORK.WORK.

Maybe I will have a few down days soon. I have to have surgery Friday, March 15.  Seems my 15 hr days has killed my elbow.  I have fought tennis elbow since July. No more cortisone for me, it's surgery. The bad thing is that it is my right arm and I cannot do a darn thing with my left.

Maybe I will have a chance to read again. Not sure what ff to start next as I wait for updates to my Wips. I am making through all of Sylvia Days books. So far, I have liked them all.

Hope everyone has been ok the past few weeks!

I haven't figured out how to use quote yet but I wanted to answer your questions.

My husband is in the navy and left a week ago for a year. I have 3 sons that are 21, 18, and 15. The older boys live in Va Beach. I am living in the Low Country of South Carolina and I love it here. I am originally from Va Beach and moved here 3 years ago when my husband was stationed here.

I started out reading HP fanfics in 2003 and I resisted reading Twilight for as long as possible but being surrounded by teenagers at the time they finally wore me down and I gave in. I wasn't and am still not a fan of the books but after reading them I wondered what fans could do with them. I was hooked from my first fic.  :)

I found PTS by accident 3 weeks ago when I was visiting my husband's family in N.C. As soon as I realized that I could find and download fics that I thought were gone forever I swear I had tears in my eyes. (My reaction took some creative explaining I can tell you!) I have been on here everyday since.

All of you ladies are just amazing and I am so thankful to have found you. I have been alone in my fanfic addiction forever and it is so nice to have people to talk to that understand and share it!  :-*

BTW I'm a 36c even though they are a little more south than they should be.  ;)

*cough cough*

My boys are 21 and 18, and I live in Carolina just below the Va line. Norfolk is only 45 min to an hr depending on where in Norfolk. Hubs is prior army so it seems we have a lot in common.

Howdy addicted neighbor !

I also love Sylvia Day. Am waiting for Entwined with you to finally come out! Have you read S.C stephens Thoughtless Series? the last one, Reckless, came out March 5. LOVED IT! So sad it is done. I always picture Kellan as Rob in twilight, with his crazy, untamed hair  :) other than that, have been flipping back and forth between real books and fanfic.

Am now reading Changing Prejudices rec'd here, a relatively short actorward... Its ok so far, nothing i can rave about yet

Hello out there!

Hope everyone has been good - yeah right, who am I kidding!

So I'm back from the land of the slow Internet! I use my iPhone to connect my iPad to the www however the last few weeks have been atrocious. Something about upgrades yada yada. The good thing to come out all that is that I got to read lots of fics. Lots of angsty fics. Mhmm my favourite.

I absolutely fell head over heels with Paper Cutouts by twistedcoincidence. I cant say enough about this fic. It stole my haert and for a while i thought i was neverr getting it back hehe. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
If you need a really good sob then this is the fic for you. (stay away Loopy - seriously)

Also read Pockets full of Stones. Really short read (10 pages lol), a few one shots, A Beautiful Mess, Glass House, Overpass (which I did not like - felt unfinished), Carpe Noctum & Fiat Lux (loved the original ending and wish I didn't read the alternative), 7 years to humanity, Cracks in the Pavement (so beautifully written and impossibly heart wrenching), A Matter if Life and Death (loved this little gem), I'll Make You Love Me (so stupid in my opinion and was tempted to flounce but alas my curiosity is stronger - I know that this is fiction but come on, really???) and I just finished up Dear Isabella. I'm sure I've forgotten a few more lol but it's all good.

Ive just started reading Bonne Foi and I'm only up to the second chapter but something feels off. What did you girls think of it?

Anyway, hope to catch up with you peeps later if I get the chance. MASSIVE bbq tonight at mums and I had to sneak off into the bathroom to post this as I keep getting dragged to help! How dare she lol!

Missed you all xxx

You're back but you did not come bearing Rob P0rn. Why oh why? Must we join the land of the Tumblr to ease our craving??

Hope all goes well with your surgery, best of luck (but do you think you can post some Rob P0rn here or "somewhere dark"? Pleeeeease. What? I ain't too proud to beg lol.

Edit: what a coincidence. I was at Big W (walmart-ish kinda store here in oz) buying my son the Hunger Games books and while I was waiting saw all the Sylvia Days books. What I wanted to know was is she an ex fanfic author??

Lol, too late hun - I read this a couple of weeks ago and yes, I did cry.  ^-^
I FLOVED (as my 14 yr old daughter would say) this fic, I seriously can't say enough good things about it and  I actually liked the kid (Finn) in it.
If it were to be published I would so buy it.  ???

Right, I better go help my daughter with her "baby" so she can get ready for school.
Don't worry she hasn't followed in my footsteps and become a young Mum, the school have given everyone who is doing Child Development in her year fake babies to look after for 5 days so they can see what it's really like.

Hmmm - do I seem more or less crazy if I only talk to myself once in one long post, or if I answer everyone's posts separately?

Hey Peonie,
I admit I had to google Apulia, but it looks to be a beautiful part of the world. I'm from Queensland, Australian - another beautiful part of the world.

It's now Thursday evening so it will be Friday in just a few hours and yet another week will be over.

Who stole February?

You're right! It's beautiful Queensland!! :) Also here beautiful and very sunny!
ahahaha right February has flown!! And Spring is coming!

Sooooooooo, you know how we are all different ages and pervs??
nothing against it. But i had a class today, at my teachers house. She is almost 60.
And her desktop wallpaper was from Ian something, the guy from Vampire Diaries.
 :D :D :D :D :D

And its realy weird cause her 30 plus year old son is there listening to the lesson. weird (he is always there, i think he has some mental development problem - he interrupted the lesson once to tell his mom that Rob and Kscrew were having a baby and raising it in England.....).

She has grown up men coming into her house for private lessons and then BAM. You know she is lusting over weird eyes during the lesson.

and all i can think its: i hope she doesnt go into pts and ff.net. :57: :57:

I never got the attraction of the boys from Vampire Diaries - and then I started watching it!

And the brother's not bad either!

It's not Robporn, but it'll have to do until we get some!

I think, far more disturbing than a 60yo lusting after pretty boys (men do it all the time - every mechanic in Australia has a titty calendar! I think it's the law), is that she takes classes in her house!

And:

WTF is she teaching? Does she guarantee an "A" to the men taking private lessons? Is there a red light outside her front door?

DON'T TELL HER HOW I KNOW YOU!!!

My SIL knows about my fanfic addiction (somewhat) but she doesn't really get it.

We had a huge email discussion one night about ff - I kept saying how much I love it and how great it is, she kept saying it's not really her thing - and I got the vibe that she was getting quite uncomfortable with me being so into it.

Turned out that I was talking about ff as in fanfiction. She was talking about ff as in fem-fem (ie slash).

She's still not into fanfiction, but at least she's not thinking that I swing that way!
