Okay, I have to say I don't necessarily mean the sentiment behind this face, but it sure looks like I feel -

*snort* I have pretty much stuck to fics that I downloaded here. I'm reading the ones that update regularily so I know what's going on. I go back and forth between oldies and new fics that I've discovered or have been recc'd here. Now I'm getting the bug to read Buried again... le sigh.

I think she moved it to her blog and TWCS but is in a slump should be posting soon. I love her wickedly cause thats how my mind works to lol

Yusssss! Saying "There needs to be more dialogue here" doesn't help me It didn't even go to beta because I added more and sent it back and never got a reply.

Hmm. Could be they don't have enough Beta's available.

The problem with being a Beta is that you have to be available to turn the story fast in most cases. One of my writers posts on ffnet, the other had posted it, but pulled it to rework it & wanted to be mostly done before she reposted it. So I have a little time with the second one, but I have to turn the first within 48 hours according to the rules. I travel for work, so this can be a problem when I'm on the road.

The problem with being a Beta is that you have to be available to turn the story fast in most cases. One of my writiers posts on ffnet, the other had posted it, but pulled it to rework it & wanted to be mostly done before she reposted it. So I have a little time with the second one, but I have to turn the first within 48 hours according to the rules. I travel for work, so this can be a problem when I'm on the road.

I had a beta, she was ready to go but my pre reader wasn't keeping in contact when I emailed her

When I have time to get back into it, I'll probs resubmit.

I appreciate all the work they do though. It's tough when you get an author who can't take critisism or when schedules don't mesh.

Damn, now I want to read BAtB NOW...I randomly check her blog to see if it's been completed b/c I'm that impatient about reading that one.

And whilst drives me crazy. I mean, make the dialogue/story realistic and people don't say "whilst". Just because a word is listed in the dictionary doesn't mean it should be used in replacement to the more common words that people recognize. I don't know...I'm all for the thesaurus but take it easy. Not every single word needs to be swapped out for something else.

And I'm lazy and dislike having to look up ten different words every other page just to understand what they are saying.

How do all you guys organize your fics? What programs do you use on your computers/phones/tablets?

I JUST downloaded calibre (awesome btw) and am in the process of reorganizing everything. I had everything in PDF but am thinking of converting all to EPUB...I don't know. I do have everything stored in clouds and have my Title/author/summary in a word doc in google drive so i can get it anywhere and it auto saves.

I don't have anything organised. They are in alphabetical order as I download them

It's easier cause I remember the name so I just do it that way. Or I keep them in the zip files I've downloaded *shrugs and points to self* lazy bum

Mmmhmm... WIP's drive me bananas. But sometimes I can't help myself. My inner four year old doesn't have the patience to wait so I start them anyway and then get annoyed at myself cause it's stopped on a cliffie or something like that

Have you heard from anonyswan/anonycullen recently? Last I heard was more than eight months ago, the husband of one of them (I can't tell them apart) was very sick. I haven't been on twitter in ages, I don't even know if they still tweet.

I srsly thought about doing the categories bc sometimes I want to read something specific (Mobward, Tragedy, etc) but am afraid it would take me forever.

And I can't ever decide on a way to organize and stick with it...my ADD kicks in an I switch it up. It's ridiculous

LOL! My biggest problem is that I read a lot on my phone. Only when the battery dies or it crashes? Yeah, I lose all the web pages I had open. And then my lack of memory kicks in. Sigh.

Also? I tend to be reading about 3 or 4 stories at a time, not including WIP's. And the fact that all the characters names are the same? LOL!
