 ???  OK I had an interesting thing happen.  First, I usually never check my downloads using Flag Fic.  So I downloaded A Pound of Flesh after the epi posted and just now checked it and it only had 46 chapters.  I knew she had just posted the epi about 10 minutes prior.  So apparently a chapter needs time to "show up" on the server for Flag Fic to see it.  So it might be a good idea to make sure your DL is a good one.

Anyone else every have this happen to them?

with ff downloader I only had this problem once a  couple of months ago. When ffn was experiencing technical problems I couldn't get the update for a few hours. but I know it's a ffn problem because It never happens when I'm downloading from twilighted or twcs using flagfic .

Ok not sure if this is on topic but I am so crap at FF abbreviations for instance what does UGST mean? Anyone know a place that round them all up in on place it took me a while to realise that WIP stood for Work In Process!  :-[

If you can stand the background and font color, here's a site with lots of common fanfic definitions and abbreviations (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login).  Maybe you could just copy/paste it into a .doc file.

I'll add "wussperv" to the list of confusing terms.  It took me forever to find a definition and one of the authors I followed always gave a wussperv rating for her chapters (I was lost until the middle of the story). 

"A wussperv is tragically canon, loathes angst (in massive doses), and loves smut..."

Not sure about UGST.

Has anyone read This is My Wish by ericastwilight? It's not perfect this writer is no YellowGlue (who I worship, adore and have a huge  authorcrush on BTW) but there is a lot of nice touches. I love when I unexpectedly come across something good in FF Land. WARNING* I've been up all night finishing it and it's left me a huge blubbering, puffy eyed, snotty mess! Prepare use lots of tissues...

Am so OCD, i couldn't stand not knowing what UGST stands for. Tried to search in google and these came out as possible meanings:
Urshan Graduate School of Theology
User's Group on Software Tools
Union of Government School Teachers
United Graduate School of Theology
Urban Green Spaces Taskforce
User Group on Software Tool
User Global Symbol Table
Users Group on Software Tools
Urshan Graduate Schl-Theology
Unidad Gestora de Servicios Tecnológicos

You mentioned it was related to a link so maybe it means  "User Group on Software Tool" as variations of it appeared 3 times in the top 10 possible meaning of UGST?

Or was it the acronym for a fanfic? Wahhhhhh, somebody put me out of my misery...  :-\

                                                         HOFY (Holding Out for You), HBD (Hit By Destiny), UOEM (University of Edward Masen),
                                                         AA5 (Art After 5), HL5 (Hydraulic Level 5), IGA (Irritable Grizzly Adams), TALAY (Twice as
                                                         Long as Yesterday), etc.

Misc. terms (some might apply to other fandoms):  Jaw p0rn, Robsten, Sex hair, God of War, etc.

Names that describe the type of character in the story:  Tattward, Jerkward, Darkward, Inkella/Tattella, Vampward,  etc.

“Twi” attached to anything:  Twihard, twismut, twific, twibary, twivobaculary, etc.

I would add HunterHunting's MoBS (Misapprehension of Bella Swan) and CW&IA (Clipped Wings & Inked Armour) to the story title list.

Those are almost always referred to by their acronyms.

Steve at FLAG told me that with certain sites like FF, it takes a bit for the codes to be chached (or ready to download) so that FLAG can capture the latest update of a story so it won't download right away - and if you know Steve, that is an amazing oversimplification of what he actually said!.    This is their issue, not FLAG's.    You just have to wait a little longer so that process can take place.    However, yesterday I actually downloaded an update to a story and when I went back to check it a new chapter appeared that I didn't even know was there - it actually had been uploaded while I was downloading...that was weird!
