Okay now I don't know if I can take it seriously. If guys really did have the stamina that (non-vamp) Edward has. (In this story he spends hours and hours s crewing his w hores) and I just read a line where he's pleasured himself 4 times in one morning. Ladies the entire western civilization would collapse because NO ONE would get out of bed.. Seriously rolling around in my Purell laughing my ass off..

Okay I'm going to apologize for being a brat about this story. 

I really can appreciate when someone takes the time to write a story for our entertainment (blood, sweat, tears, etc)

So I'll stop being an ass!!!! Cause lord know I don't have the balls to put myself out there by writing my own story. lol

I don't think you're begin "a brat", I think as a reader you have the right to an opinion and in this particular instance, a Twific topic board that opinion is very valid.  Especially as clearly you have read a lot of other Fics,,,I wish more members gave opinions on here, it would save me a lot of time that I waste reading crap! (*cough* Breaking from the Ordinary *cough*)I have to agree with you; there is something "off" about this Edward I have read a lot of Jerwards but this one feels "forced" as though the author is compiling every angst, every Edward has ever had, in every Twific ever written and lumped them in one place....I'm only a few chapters in and it may improve but right now I'm at the stage where I might just "flounce" with you!

I am not sure if we are allowed here but i really wish that there should 1 topic where member/reader can discuss whatever they currently reading  & when they complete FF so they can write thier little review with pros & cons or whtever they want to say about story . It would save so much time of other reader.I love this Forum but sometime  i cant decide just from name of fic from list whether i should read it or not.it would be heplful to have little summary or preview.

I spent last 2 days reading fic which was listed in 1 of rec site as top 10 fics finished last month.[ i am not saying name  ]Oh God what a load of crap.I wish i had re- read something from my pdf folder rather than that fic..It was interesting concept in begining, characters were little diff but such poor writing..Writer messed up everything.Dialogues were so much like stage type.If some exeperience writer had written that fic or writer had put little comman sense it could have been decent good fic.IN the end u feel nothing for any chracters.I am not suprise it has less reviews. But i  done  know why i wasted time reading this fic completly..I guess i was just waiting for something miracle .

Yeah, I too wish when reading reviews that I could get a better "feel" for a story. I have read a lot, but I have flounced a lot more. I don't feel the need to force myself to read a fic because "everyone" raves about it. Some of the best fics I've read have hardly any reviews (Most of the time it seems that fics with the most number of reviews are those that have the most lemons) Just the number of reviews is not a deciding factor for me to read it for that reason alone. I'm not against lemons, I'm more interested in the plot, the words, can I get lost in their world? That is why I read I want to escape reality for a bit!!!  Your right about this Edward, he's not very likable and the author seems to have used every jerkward she could find. It makes no sense so far (I'm 23% of the way through it) for him to be so callous towards woman. I get that his mother left him and Tanya used him, but using those two factors and having him acting the way he is, isn't making much sense to me, than a few weeks later treat Bella like an angel but she's still a woman??? My personal opinion is that they would have been better off having him cut himself off emotionally and physically from woman after all he's been told his a lousy lay, a boring boyfriend. So what he picks up and goes to a brothel to get his kicks and all the sudden he's amazing in bed cause his four girls love to have him. To many contradictions in the story to be honest.

If you thought Bella in Twilight was a push over (I have never thought this & don't think she's given enough credit for being the strong silent type) than this Bella will drive you crazy, she's uneducated, has no clue about life (even though she's been raising twins by herself for 5 years). So far I think the author has made her out to be too stupid there is no way she should have survived as long as she has with the resources that she's had at her disposal *shrugs* gets off soap box and hides under desk..

I agree 100% about the reviews, I started the Fic Words with Friends, it has over 18,000 reviews I read two chapters and thought "was this written by a 5 year old?" Am I so out of step that I don't get it? I finally read 4 chapters in total and "flounced" (happy to revisit is someone tells me it get better) I'm with you re. lemons, they have their place for sure, but I've noticed recently that I skim right over them to try to get back to the plot, so, if there is no plot then I'm screwed. I love YellowGlue for that very reason, she has to be one of the best twific writers I have read and her characterizations are fantastic, her use of words lyrical and her imagination out the box.

I am with u right there..there are like  20  fics i know which  has more than 5000  or 10000 reviews & so many ppl recommended  but when u compare them carefully you can see just EB's  background is differenet  like edward is doctor  or lawyer or actor but other chracters are same old same old..after five chapters everything is same in all fics.and reason for those reviews are mostly lemon after every 3 chapter or within  1st  2-3 chapters.I will not say name coz what is trash for me may be treasure for someone else.

Your reticence is to be admired, I've got no qualms in saying Word With Friends by Nolebucgrl is crap..this is a discussion board, discuss!

Discuss to your hearts content  I don't have an opinion of this particular fic I haven't read it. But this is a discussion board and place to share our fics. No one will get flamed here for having an opinion. We all have them

I'm too a.n.a.l to flounce.  I'm also an optimist, thinking that if the plot caught my eye, then it might start to live up to my expectations.  I might just skim, but I'll generally find out how it ends if it's a completed fic.  For instance, I did not have the patience to read all of EP, so I skimmed the whole thing.  Sometimes a WIP I'm following will lose me for a while, generally because I get too busy to keep up with updates, but I'll go back and finish it (even if I just skim because I lost interest).

I do do a bit of skimming, but I'm horribly emotionally involved when I'm reading, the whole ohhh god my heart races, my stomach turns, my anger flares lol.. So I end up flouncing  instead of doing a whole lot of that, dang good thing I'm not OCD or a.n.a.l huh?? I have that happen several times with a WIP, I get all involved and then lose interest for particular reason, other than I've moved on while waiting for an update.
