Okay, so I'm reading A Nerd Story of Love.  Alice buys Edward a birthday gift & asks if his girlfriend, Bella, has a passport. He doesn't know.  Alice says I know someone who can rush it through.

Next chapter - Alice gives Edward two tickets to HAWAII.  Um, last I checked, if you live in Chicago or Phoenix? Yeah, no passport necessary.

Aaaaaauuuugghhhhhh!!!   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :P

It's not a bad story, but there are things about it like this that are annoying.  Also, nasty Emmett & Carlisle. And no sex, but lots of UST? ;)  Okay I had to update....schmexy times are starting.  I don't know how old this writer is, but at times she sounds a little young?  She wrote the story about Bella being an overweight nurse who was bullied.  In this one, it is more Edward being bullied. That said? Yeah, I'm still reading it.  I like the Edward & Bella characters, and Rose and Jasper are fun.  Alice is still annoyingly Alice.   ;)

And? She needs another beta or prereader, because the one she has is missing way too many tense errors.  If that bothers you, I don't recommend this story.

Just Googled Kathryn, and she would have made a good Rosalie *nods*

I think they did good with casting Alice, Esme, Jasper (though they really effed his hair up) and Edward as far as appearances. Emmett should hv been bulkier and Rosalie and Carlisle should hv been blonds.  The dye job on Carlisle and Jasper were just bad. Peter does not wear blond hair well imo

And k stew.... She's awkward enough for the role, that's for sure. I just always pictured Bella as smaller.  And I guess Jasper should hv been taller, wasn't he supposed be to like 6'3 or something?
I tell you, the girl who played Becca in Vampires Suck would have made a better Bella than K-Stew.  Peter wore a wig which is why it looked so bad.  I did like Jackson as a psycho killer on Criminal Minds, but he didn't fit my idea of Jasper either ;)

I've not gone quite that far, but I'm more than happy to read non-cannon, as long as the plot is good and it's well written.

I think Emmett/Bella is my favourite non-cannon pairing, but there are not a whole lot of really good fics written about them. Same with Carlisle/Bella. Jasper/Edward stories are always good too. I've read a couple of very good ones. Man, I think I just have a thing for Twific, no matter the pairing...

For a very long time, I could not bring myself to read any non-cannon (although I did come across a few threesomes, but that's for a whole other discussion  ;)).

Then I read Accidental Atonement (I'm ploughing through the titles loaded on my e-reader in alphabetical order - bad decision BTW) by IdPattThat You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and that changed my opinion very quickly.

It's an Edward/Leah pairing ( :wtf:) but he's one of the best Edwards I've read and it's a great story.

I now have IdPattThat on alert and can't wait to read more of her fics - luckily she has another called All The King's Horses so I might get to that sooner rather than later!

I dunno if Kellan Lutz is BIG enough to be Emmet, they always talk about how brawny he is.

I never thought so either, but then I saw a clip of the arm wrestling seen from BD2 this week.

Dude has guns!  :13:

(and a REALLY pasty face and just a nasty wig that made me laugh out loud!)

I really hope they don't screw it up too badly..... :-\

Ok did the bats startle the crap out of anyone else?

Yes! Haha. And we don't celebrate Halloween in Australia at all, so it took me a second to figure out why the heck they were there! Then I remembered it's almost the 31st of October. The only thing I'm concentrating on is my last Uni assignment is due in that day, then an exam and I'm on Summer Holidays until March next year! WooHoo!

I flounced yet another story. Breaking Trinity by VvDeadRosesvV. I admit it was well writen but too much on the immpossible side for me.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

So. Much. Drama. And I only reached page 100.  :D

If you ask me the plot just evolved way too soon. I have had the same problem with countless fics...

Quick question: I just found The First Cut by Chicklette in my archive. I have 9 chapters and it is marked On Hiatus. Was it ever completed?

Yeah...about that...

From the short clip I've seen, it's a big scene for KStew and given her vast range of emotions...

I need an emoticon holding up a sarcasm sign!

And Emmett carries over this giant rock that just looks too much like polystyrene or papier mache.

I liked the scene in the book too, so it might all add to some comic relief - and if not, I'll just keep watching those arms of Kellan's ...  :strong: Noice!!!

Me too! When I first noticed them, all I saw was a pointy tip going up the side of the page - I thought it was some Jaws thing - ignorant Australian!

And since I suffer from Procrastinator's ADD (self-diagnosed infliction whereby I should be doing lots of other things but instead, I am on here, and downloading shows from the US, and watching sucky Saturday afternoon TV - I do have a load of washing on as well though), the bats keep distracting me - one might say they are making me "batty" :-[

How I miss my Uni days of having 5 months off over the Christmas break. I can't complain though - I still get 6 weeks holiday (the perks of being a teacher!) but I have so much to do between now and early December.

I REALLY shouldn't be on here. I wonder if there is medication I can take... I'll try vodka

I shouldn't be on here either, I have assignments to write! However my professionally diagnosed ADHD sometimes makes that pretty impossible. That and my somewhat obsessive procrastibaking. I know how you feel.

Uni is awesome, 24 weeks of the year are bloody hard yakka and then you get to bludge around for the rest of the year. Ridgy-didge.

Now back on topic: Bad wigs and polystyrene rocks. I thought these films had like a trillion dollar budget?

Procrastibaking! Love it - I whipped up a batch of Anzac bickies this morning. I didn't know there was a term for it!

And I just received an email informing me that I’ve used my download limit for the month! My internet is soooo slow now – I might actually have to do some work tomorrow  :loudcry:

Off to bed folks, we'll see what I end up reading tonight.

OMG!  Just what I was about to post (once I got caught up that is).  Well, I'm fully awake now, and not even half way through my mug of tea ;).
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

That fic I rec'd yesterday? Bitemarks & Bloodstains? Awesome. Love Love Love it. I LOVED Jasper and the fact that it was all in his POV. And Edward didn't show until the second to last chapter and was only there for that one chapter. AND he wasn't a total douchebag! Idk, This is another to add to my favorites list.

I'm not sure HOW I missed Jackson on Criminal Minds....it's one of my favorites shows and I've seen just about every episode...apparently all but the one he was in

I ran across this dude years ago when I wasn't a huge fan of Rob as Edward (he just didn't do it for me back then). While I picture Rob as MOST -wards now, ever since I saw this one guy, William Levy, this is who I picture as a few of them CEOward being one for sure)

Well, he sure is a bit of alright! I don't really know how I picture Edward. I don't think it's one particular person, just someone I make up in my head! I always picture him as more of a bluey than Rob I do know that.

A Hope Renewed is one of my favourites, I recced it here: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I also really enjoyed The Mail Order Bride by Lady Gwynedd
It's the late 1800s in the wild west. A lonely man seeks companionship; a woman restricted by convention seeks a future. Add those together and what do you get?

Oh, and also Finding Home by Jennde - Not quite as period as the others but still an amazing fic.
Edward & Bella are lifelong friends. At 18, just as their true feelings for each other are coming to fruition, tragedy strikes and the US is thrust into World War II. Will Edward and Bella's love be enough to see them through a world war? Rated M, OOC.

Well I hope you like it! Pressure's on! It's not very "wild west" at all, it's far more a romance than gun totin' wild west action read.
