It's funny with the reading words when all the letters are scrambled up. I find it rather easy, but this doesn't help when people can't use apostrophes correctly and constantly misuse homophones or simply incorrect words, those are harder for me to ignore than a simple spelling mistake.

I'm with you on the other points; if I'm really enjoying a story I can ignore some errors, it's just most of the time the grammar and spelling are bad, the rest of the writing isn't too crash hot either and then I just flick it.

WIPs are easier, because you only deal with it one chapter at a time. I've read a couple as WIPs that I go back to once complete and just about want to rip my hair out after a couple of chapters. If they are that bad, but I still like the plot and writing I'll just edit them myself. I really can't read when it's that bad, it destroys the flow and is about all I can concentrate on.

I've rec'd a few stories that I read as a WIP only to go back an reread them because rec'ing them reminded me how much I enjoyed them. Then I realized how badly written they were. One was Completerandomness's Emotional Warfare - so funny as a WIP, but the errors when read as a complete fic.....aaaiiiieeeee! She is reposting but I don't think it's been corrected much.

I don't read on my computer, so editing as I go along? Probably not going to happen. I usually go away from it for a while and then go back - kind of like a WIP.

Of course, I sometimes forget I was reading it LOL!

I've read that fic before and was as disappointed as you are to find out there's no part 2 - it just looks like the author never got around to writing it, and seeing as part 1 was finished over a year ago it doesn't seem likely they'll be writing it now. If you're really desperate you could probably tweet the author and ask if she's planning to write/publish it on ff anytime soon. I doubt it though

Thanks for the Review Demaris42 this is one I have on my TBR list but keep skipping over it.. I'm not one that likes once they've been together they get separated and find others (not sure if that happens in this story) but I need my big girl panties on to read it if it does lol..

They've actually done studies that show our brains will understand a word as long as it starts and ends with the correct letter & has most of the right letters in it. Or something like that. I saw an email that was total gibberish but was totally readable for that reason. So maybe that is how your brain works.

If I'm really liking a story, I can mostly ignore the spelling and grammar issues. But some stories? Yeah, there is nothing else to do but look at the misspelled words and bad grammar.

I've also found that I can ignore problems more in WIP's than in completed stories. Probably because the time between updates makes me forget the issues.

I hate bad grammar more than spelling....actually I'm talking crap, they irritate me equally! But I've become such a flounce pussy that I no longer stop reading a story because of it.

LOL! As I've said before, I rarely flounce a story....though I often times get distracted by another, and another, then another and....what was that I was reading??

First Class Fic. I loved it! Also has a pretty interesting Bella ( I sense a theme..)

Moving Trucks and Sunglasses. Rollerblades and Heart Shaped Potatoes. M&M's for Smiles and Notes Across Lawns. "Sometimes I'm just sad," and "I NOT ALLOWED love you hard." A story about first loves and the struggle to keep it.
As far from the norm as you can get, in my opinion. It is the sweetest, sweetest story and one of the first fic I read and it has stuck with me across all the hundreds of fics I've read since. It is my very favourite Twific, with my favourite chapter (38, I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it) in a Twific. I hardly ever recommend it because I'm an only child and I hate sharing

No, but seriously this story turned me into a TeamBella23 disciple, though I will admit to having a crisis of faith at the moment, what with the Dusty situation

I saw this on Fictionators and have it followed, but I'll probably wait until it's ~25 chapters to start reading it. I've got about 5 WIPs that I read (10+ that I follow/am waiting to complete) and that much anticipation is enough for me. Especially when one of those WIPs is Frontline.

Nolebucgirl is really one of my favorite authors.

So far the story is pretty similar but, and its a big BUT, I'm on page 406 and I'm just about a third of the way through! How long is this story and does EP take us further into it than Sempre? Is EP Sempre + the sequel due out at some point, or.....?

Is EP Sempre + the sequel due out at some point, or.....?

If I remember correctly, EP is close to 2000 pages and that doesn't include all the outtakes, interviews and side stories.

I think that the author short changed herself by not keeping true to EP and creating sequels. Sempre was alright but EP I thought was incredible. I read where she wanted Sempre to be far removed from EP and I think she did a fine job of achieving her goals.

I love troublefollows 1017. The first story I read by her was Fridays at Noon, which I read as a WIP. So Good! I've read everything she's written since then (My Beautiful Storm and the current WIP Now and Then), but needed to read the stories she wrote before Fridays at Noon. So I've been reading High School Confidential, Pictures of You and its sequel, Wanted. You just can't go wrong with any of her stories. I recommend all of them. You are not allowed to view links.
