Ha! I was wondering the same! Great minds think alike....How are you finding AWTFA? I hope it lived up to the amount of hype I gave it  :D
And I'd quite like to know the answer to the BATB question too, if anyone has read it can you let us know whether the story can stand on it's own without the last 2 chapters? Actually did the author say it was going to be only 2 more or are we all guessing? The way I like to guess Dusty's only got a couple of chapters left due to Sarah (YellowGlue) saying Chapter 35 was her last AN?...
Also I'm in need of some advice; is the fact that I roll my eyes every time Edward kisses Bella proclaiming undying love after knowing her a week, a symptom that I might have Fic Fatigue? Because if that is the case I'm in deep poo poo. (Hey! where has the poo smiley gone?!)

BAtB needs those 2 chapters. There is no closure and that pisses me off! I mean really!!! 2 chapter FFS! DAMMMIT!   >:(

Has anybody read Dead on my feet?

I just want to know if the story picks up. I'm 545 pages in and want to punch Bella! Does she get any better??

It is! Last few chapters to go and I'm really enjoying it, well written, very few SPaG issues, and am especially liking the mystery genre (one you don't often seem to get in Twilight fanfic) - although I have been wondering if Derdriu oFaolain pulled her stories to go write for The Vampire Diaires  ;). I see a lot of similarities between AWTFA's Edward and TVD's Damon, and now,

No. It's a sign that there are some authors who don't spend enough time developing characters and just get all swept up in the "Twilight" of it all.

Although, you could try reading some John Grisham or James Patterson or Tom Clancy and see of that cures you.
Or report cards. Did I mention how much I love reading report cards? That would definitely cure any FFFatigue.

I do :)

I thought so  ;). I've been watching yours for a while and saw that it very recently updated. I haven't read any of it yet (due to my aversion to WIPs).

I also don't "follow" on FFnet - I "favourite" any texts I watch in IE - so that if they are removed from FFnet, I know (they don't just vanish) and I can use my stalker skills to attempt to track them down.

Remember - Techtard.

I'm very jealous of anyone who can write fiction. Public speaking and debating have always been my strong points but anything creative - no way!

OK - next random question for everyone...

How did you come come up with your profile name?
Astro was my sister's dog (who I adopted when she moved to London) and he died (old age) in 2009.

See - not creative AT ALL!  :-[

i remember that, she's a school teacher and her first novel was getting published she did not want the parent's of her students to find her FF rated M stories after finding out she was published. I'm pretty sure that was the reason.

Tami

For some reason, I have SydneyAlice stuck in my mind that said that.  But she is still posting M rated stories (which I am happy about) and she does state that she's published a book.  Roaming through the pages on PTS 2, I'm not finding it.  I was just curious.

Oops, Astro answered, thank you also.

Thank you so much.
Carrie

2amlovesick is a Blue October song that was playing when I was sucked into MOTU. It was playing at 2 am when I was reading about Bella walking out on Edward after the belt.  I was lovesick for the pair.

she was removing her stories rated M from FF because she wouldn't want her child to read them and I think she was a teacher?

Thank you! I knew I should have waited - someone here would have been able to find an easier way to do this. I can't figure out how to add to/merge pdf file, without spending $ to buy some extra thing from Adobe.

Remember - techno-tard!  :33:

Thank you all for your kind thoughts as well. It's been an emotional week but Grandma was 96 - a bloody good innings - and she can join Grandpa again. They would have celebrated their 75th anniversary this year.
I bought a scanner to organize my papers in which I'm drowning & it came with a full version of Adobe.  Helps a lot for stuff like this. :)

Does anyone remember the a/n re: she was removing her stories rated M from FF because she wouldn't want her child to read them and I think she was a teacher?
Sydney Alice wrote something like that but she wrote a YA novel & she didn't want her readers looking for other stuff she wrote & reading MA stuff.  & also her kids.  ;)

She did pull all the more explicit stuff.  A lot of her stuff is pretty clean for a M rating.

Great, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I've not watched VD for a couple of seasons so not sure where they are with the story but I do know that it is NOTHING like the books!

Slaves To The Moon has quite a good "mystery" element to the plot, I really enjoyed that story too, read it straight after AWTFA.

I really wish authors would learn the value of the term "slow boil" when it comes to plot development, sheesh! I have tons of non-FF on my iPad (I'll pass on the report cards) but I've just not read anything for ages, but I might have to take your advice and take a break.
My profile name is my middle name, so the creativity (if that is what it is) goes to my parents  :D
