Hey Illabeth! I missed you today! You seem to be the only one anywhere near my timezone - although I know you're on Uni holiday time - and that's often a whole different time zone! - so when everyone wakes up tomorrow and wants a Sunday session, you can chat then - and I'll be hard at work.

The only thing worst than the word panties is hearing a grown man say it - urrrrrgh!

We also call the "dacks" and "derps" (from underpants). Do you also call them "Reggies"? Perhaps that's showing my age. More ryhming slang - undies...Grundy's...Reg Grundy...Reggies. For those non-Aussies - Reg Grundy was the owner of an Australian television production company.

We just take a lot of these terms for granted. It's not until you see them in a compilation like this that you realise how odd we must sound

Yup. Tomorrow will be my recovery day (Thanks Uni!) as I have been flat out with horses both this weekend and last. We introduced a new boy to the herd today and they went bonkers. And last week we moved them all to the new place, so the rides this week have been interesting too.

I think now with Daylight Saving you are an hour behind us down here. I don't think I could cope with not having daylight saving! The sun rises early enough as it is, I can't imagine it rising at 5am!

I have to admit and panties makes me think of panty liners which then makes me think of pads

So not a good term for undies!

We don't call them Reggies, but my Uncle does. Grundies are popular. And dacks, although they more reffer to trousers 'underdacks' are your undies; "Drop your dacks".

I think now with Daylight Saving you are an hour behind us down here. I don't think I could cope with not having daylight saving! The sun rises early enough as it is, I can't imagine it rising at 5am!

It's 7pm (8pm your time) and the sun is still up - just. I'm further north and further west than Brisbane and sunset is a good 30-45mins later here than in Bris. We don't have the twilight that you have down south. I was in Tassie a couple of years ago and it was so odd to still have full light at 8:00pm but such a late sunrise.

We have daylight at about 4:45am in summer - thank goodness for blackout blinds! I actually love that I can get up at 5:00am in summer, get stuck in to whatever needs doing before it gets too hot (cleaning, yard work, etc) and then have all the work done by 8:00am.

Of course, that also means that knock off drinks can start as soon as the work is done! I also love that the 8:30 movie on Foxtel starts at 7:30 - so I can watch a new release on Sunday night and still get a decent night's sleep before work on Monday.

A really hot week is predicted. Our "hot" is also different to your "hot" - we have the humidity which makes it so steamy and oppressive, and being that much further north, the sun is just brutal. I actually burn in under 10 minutes (Scottish heritage!) so slather on the sunscreen every morning.

My name? Well, my cat is Ella & I like the movie Ella Enchanted, but it was taken on Twitter. So I abreviated it. Wait is it abreviated or abbreviated? Aaauuughhh I used to be such a good speller. Then spell check came along. And all these awful spellers on FFnet. It's driving me sane!!!

ha, my name is after my doggie, and her birthday. I use it for everything online.

Though now it's kinda hard because she passed away last month so I'm seeing it everywhere. Sigh.

I know it's WIP which most of us try and avoid but even after only 3 chapters, I find that I can't wait til the next chapter.

Summary: Shunned for their beliefs and forced to keep their lives a secret, Bella and Edward lean on each other and their unconventional family. -Forbidden love story.

GossipLips has said: I will try to post at least every 2 weeks if work doesn't get in the way. I'm going to try really hard to update Monday (4/12/12)

Same, it's such a rollercoaster ride and sometimes you end a chapter on a sad note and then waiting 2/3 weeks for the next one is torture! I wonder whether there's going to be a time-jump at some point as it's already 30 chapters in and seems nowhere near finished.

To me, knickers are underwear! Or as we call them here - undies.
Knickers could even refer to a sexy little g-string (thong) but I've never been as skinny as RPattz so I don't wear them!

Just don't call them panties. There are two words that make me vomit in my mouth - "panties" and "moist"

Knickers are a really funky pair of pants you actually wear on the outside. It's a short pair of pants that is gathered at the knee into a band. Most people wear capris now. Though they seem to be going out of style as well.

But I do find it fun to see all the different terms we use. A jumper is another one. For us, a jumper is a dress that is normally no sleeve and v or wide u-neck under which you wear a blouse, t-shirt, turtleneck or whatever. I remember my Mom wearing them when I was a kid. Though you can still find them.

What a jumper isn't - a sweater of any sort.

Knickers are a really funky pair of pants you actually wear on the outside. It's a short pair of pants that is gathered at the knee into a band. I planned to wait, but then I read the first 2 chapters and then kept going just to find a good stop point.. and then I was suddenly at the end of the posted chapters. If the author stops posting I'll probably combust from rage and disappointment

Well knickers is short for knickerbockers

Wisp is one of those stories that if she stopped now, I would feel sad but I wouldn't feel left hanging. I guess, like Torn, the rescue at the beginning of the story makes it all good. Then it's just the story of the healing that makes you feel good. So, I can read it as a WIP. Does that make sense?

I couldn't stop reading Wisp now even if I tried, whenever I get an email saying that it has been updated I go a little fangirl like about it, but I'm blaming hormones for that.

I was so glad that she started posting again after another peep allegedly was copying the plot or their plot was very similar months ago.
As some fics I've followed have been dropped after this has happened.

I loved this story! At one point, I started fixing the errors I caught, then stopped because I wanted to enjoy it. Sometimes, I have to tame my ocd. The story is great though!

I have to firstly state that I'm not a fan of Drabble Fics. I find the whole 100 words per chapter a little annoying but I also understand that you have to be a pretty talented writer to do it well, to encapsulate full-fledged scenarios into a 100 word. I suffer from word vomit so I couldn't do it.

Anyway I was on TeamBella's profile (don't ask me why) and I found The War Is Over in her Favourite Stories and as a TB disciple I thought I'd give it a try. It's good. It's Angela's POV

I get that. It's just funny

If I said to a friend "I'm wearing my knickers to the party" they'd have me committed, and I'd probably be arrested.

I have to own up, it's not just fanfics WIP that I have trouble following weekly, TV series are the same. I never watch series (i.e. Grey's Anatomy or Scandal) week in week out. I Sky+ ( or Tivo I think it's called in the US) the whole series and watch it as a whole. I just don't have the patience to be dribbled feed stuff.

Talking about following stories; am I the only one that thinks FF.net is "weirdly" set out? What I mean is, you click on a link or story title, read the summary, but then you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to Follow or Favourite! It's annoying, you should have the choice of saving the story next to the summary, at the top of the page if you wished...
