I count this as a HEA, if they end up together, ghost, vamp, person, I see it as a HEA. 

It's a non-HEA for me if they (main pairing) don't really end up together or character death.

Anywho....
I try to never ever download an unfinished fic. I don't really like to read them until they're done. I loaded up my ereader with some fics I had in calibre that I haven't read yet, and somehow or another, the last two fics I read were unfinished works. I tried to look them up to see if they were ever finished. The first one, Edit My Life by djoneal hasn't been updated for about a year and a half, so I'm just going to assume it won't be finished. It didn't seem to have too many chapters left so I'm just going to forget about that one. The second one was just starting to get good. It's Bad Press by HappyWanderer. Her FF page has been cleared, and when you click on the story, it's only a message about how she pulled it to copyright it because of plagiarism and was having it published. The date for last update was 2009 (or maybe 10??)She doesn't have a twitter name, blog or facebook page listed and she's disabled her PMs so there is no way to find out her real name or if she did have it published. I really would like to read the rest of it if she finished it, even if I have to read it with characters named something different.
Anybody know if she did manage to get published or if she finished them?

Oh it's amazing! I haven't read many B/Jas. fics (<40) but it's definitely my favourite one. The prologue confused me out of context with the other chapters, but rest assured this is a Bella/Jasper fic! It was very sad (not angsty) at some points, but overall it was the most uplifting fic I've read in a while. There's a twist that I've never seen in fanfiction before, which made such a change from the cookie cutter fics that you often see.. honestly, I can't really praise it enough. If you like non-canon then you have to read this. It does contain email communication, though, which I know some people don't really like in fics but it was kinda essential to the story here. Please let me know what you thought when you read it! Hope that helps

I don't have the WIP-phobia that many of you have, but I admit I'm a little worried about starting this one until it's finished.  I enjoyed A Pound of Flesh, but I didn't start it until it was almost finished and it still seemed to take an awfully long time.  I know I first learned about it at the end of 2010 (when I discovered fanfiction).  It was pretty far along then, and it still took almost 2 more years before it was finished.  So I think I'll keep an idea on the posting consistency of the new story before I take a chance.

I read But a Whisper From His Lips last night. It was ok, good story, but badly needed a beta reader. Lots of broken sentences, and at one point, Bella mentioned the "rot-iron fence". I LOLed at that one.

Now I'm reading Facebook Friends, and loving it so far. It's weird, I seem to prefer the Bella/Jasper stories as vamps, and Bella/Edward as regular high school kids.

I have put this on alert but considering RDmikey said that POF took, what 3 years to complete? I'm not holding my breath...I think someone brought this up yesterday, about trying to ensure that we put links and/or authors names when posting a rec..It makes it easier for everyone.  TIA

In terms of drawn out WIPs, I think I'm going to remove A May To December Romance from my follow list. It's depressing to see it there with months between updates.

Here is something similar we would have done at RAoR too.....and um.....I might have been professor that day. There was homework assigned, but if memory serves from years ago, everyone turned it in.
