I have around 300 completed fics in favourites and that's after spending god know how long converting a shitload from ff.net to Calibre; my 79 alerts are just the WIPs that I'm waiting to complete.  I often wonder what the point is? Am I really so deluded that I think I'm ever going to read all of the 3000+ fics I've collected since June?   

Silly girl! The point is to have too many choices, to be able to help others looking for pulled fics, and to have bragging rights about how many fics you have.

I'm sitting here LMAO and would really like to add something to the conversation, but everything I can think of falls under the category of TMI.  RDM - you say your husband doesn't even shake his head any more, but do your children know of your obsession?  Or have you successfully hidden it from them?  My husband has helped feed mine by buying magazines and calendars for me.

I don't hide anything. I am the way I am. My sons, 21 & 18, just roll their eyes. My mother knows I read my stuff and she has read some too. My sister reads this stuff now. Um yea, never been bashful. I am just like my father (but my balls are higher). They have learned to live with it.

Hubs has really come out over the past decades together. Now we might be in the kitchen, outside, you never know and one of the sons will walk up and say....UGHHHHH....get a room. Our usual reply..... we were in one, get out. If I shut my bedroom door no matter what time of day, they usually scatter. Don't wanna hear anything, well.......put on your headphones or grab the keys to the car. I don't even have to say a word. Just shut the door. Now, I can say that when they were younger, I wasn't this bad in front of them. But hey, they are grown adults and they have parents that still love each other and have the hots for each other. Hopefully they realize 40's-50's is not the end of the world.

So ladies......I guess everyone here has homework
