Alright everyone, I gotta crash. For those that loved tonight's entertainment....thank you. I am 100% Robsessed. What can I say. At least hubs is named Rob right?

For those that didn't, I am sorry. I will try and be better next time, but you see they all egg me on. I guess I have done pretty good. I have been up here over a year and I just cannot help it sometimes. Maybe you can forgive me since I did place them in spoilers. You also have probably figured out by now, if they are there under the spoilers, you might not wanna click on them. I did that so you had a choice.

Laters....  :peace:

Well, I got married late, so no kids.....though the cats find our um sounds(?) Interesting  :D :D

I'm mostly on my phone or nook tablet when looking at Robporn.  My husband sees the smile on my face & starts to ask what I'm looking at before her remembers he doesn't want to know  ;)

Who is shocked?

Shocked? Me? Never!
However, I opened this on my (work) iPad during the world's most boring meeting, under the guise of being very busy and important and needing to check emails.

The young male principal sitting beside me WAS shocked...and then asked to see it again...twice!  :57:

Thank goodness I was at a meeting and not in the classroom...
THAT projected onto an interactive whiteboard would have been too much, even for me!

So ladies......I guess everyone here has homework

Woe is me! I have failed my homework! No "speciman" to try this with  :'(
And with a 42C (108F)  max here, I really don't want to try this on strangers  :sign0135:

I hope you all appreciate that you have someone to do your homework with. Think of poor little old me, at home alone, with just Rob on the 'puter to keep me company...

Well planned! No worries calling out the wrong name there!

My brother is named Rob. As much as I love him... :sign0137:

I'm really hating time zones. You should all live on Australian time!

At least try it for a week...for me...please?
It IS my birthday tomorrow...

Now, to get back on topic *claps hands together*

Remember my epically bad decision to read my downloaded ff in alphabetical order?

:-[ If you look up dickhead in the dictionary, you'll see my picture  :banghead:

Anyway, I finished And With Thee Fade Away (which I loved BTW - thanks again Demaris, although the epi left me a tiny bit cold
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
)
and next on my list is Avalance by Rose Masen Cullen You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Now, the copy I downloaded in August 2011 (which I obviously thought was complete at the time given my hatred of WIPS) has 29 chapters and this summary:

Bella Swan has a perfect job, wonderful, supportive friends, and an intensely special relationship. But what happens when the past she lost catches up? Can she forgive and forget? A story of friendhip, loss and regret...bound in unconditional love. ExBxJ.

The version on FF now has 37 chapters, the promise of an epilogue to come and this summary:
Turn around, forget about this. This fic is stupid.

So, has anyone read Avalanche? Should I give it a go or abandon ship?

Hello ladies!

I'm currently reading the "Reading Twilight" series by Choices HP. It's not bad but it's lacking in the Cullen's reaction department. (I'm half way through the New Moon fic right now.) What I'm hoping some one can recommend is something like this but with more from the Cullen's; like what happens after they read the Twilight Series and meet Bella. Showing that they read the books and took action to change the course of Edward and Bella's relationship, etc...

Thanks, hugs and kisses in advance.

Rec Judging Books by Savage7289 & If Only by Sadtomato
« Reply #2435 on: December 04, 2012, 05:05 PM »
After a rather cold and wet day yesterday I have two recs for you all. These are stories perhaps that I would not automatically think of reading due to elements of the characters but they have ended up being two of my favourites that are in my read again folder.

For the cannon readers an amazing short; Judging Books by Savage7289
Debutante Bella is planning to follow Dad's footsteps. A chance meeting at a stop light with a beautiful boy on a bicycle gives her a new outlook on life. Is she willing to risk living life to the fullest with this fascinating, but damaged, young man?

I really love this fic, I've read it over and over again. It's nice and short, only 5 chapters, although they are longish ones. After going on about how I find it hard to read older Bella this is one of the ones that I've read and loved, I did find it a little difficult at first but it's just so well written than I got over it pretty quickly. I also think this is one of my favourite Edwards, he is just so lovable. This story has it all, and it almost made me cry (and that is saying something, since I rarely cry when reading), even though it's not a depressing story. I can't really express how much I love this story, I highly recommend it.

And one for the non-cannon readers among us. One of the few Edward/Jake stories that I like; If Only by Sadtomato
Edward likes girls. Jake likes boys. It's never been a problem for them as best friends and roommates. What happens when the lines start to blur? Can your love for your best friend become something more?

I actually don't like this story, I love it. It's one of my all time favourite fics. I love all of Sadtomato's stuff, she is an incredible writer and I think this is my favourite of hers. It's again a shorter story, 10 chapters and an epilogue plus an alternate ending and five outtakes. It's told entirely in Jake's point of view, apart from some of the outtakes. This fic is full of sexual tension and is fantastically well written with a very well developed story line. Even though the fic is short it doesn't fly along at warp speed and the relationship development is done slowly and is full of tension. If you're not one for slash then I'd stay away, this is definitely not a 'fade-to-black' fic. This story is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Also: Happy Birthday Astro! :cheer: :birthday: I hope you have a good day and you don't expire in the heat currently engulfing your fine state.

Yeah, I don't buy any more paperbacks, less clutter as my books are all in my ipad, perfect match with my robporn in it. One time while waiting for our food to be served at a restaurant, i quickly opened a fanfic i was reading. I didn't realize my husband was reading it beside me until he gasped "oh my god, that is P O R N! S M U T! That's very dirty! No wonder you've been all over me". I guess he didn't know the kind of lemony goodness i read  :D He should be happy reaping the benefits  ;)

So what is "worse" for you gals? Reading it or watching p o r n. If guys watch it a lot, what's so wrong or shocking about us ladies reading lemons?

what's so wrong or shocking about us ladies reading lemons?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Nothing.  People may have desires they never express, but think it. It is human nature and cannot be controlled. The difference I think is the culture women have been in for so long. For guys, it is shrugged off as being a man. If a woman does that, then we are w h o r e s. The difference is that the culture is ever evolving and we are getting more vocal so they are just now hearing what we have always thought.

Hubs will be the first to admit (after me) that our s e x life after 23 yrs of marriage has never been better. Is it because of what I read? Yes and no. It's not that he is there to relieve my um....stress and he was the only thing around. So no.

The difference is all the things I have learned. Not just about the act, but things about myself. What does turn me on, what doesn't. It's my job to vocalize what works and what doesn't and to learn. How can I tell you if I don't know what works? It has saved a ton of trial and error and anti-climatic experiences. Hubs and I have talked about this many times over the past 4 yrs.

It is why he doesn't give me any shit over it and jumps back at our boys if they start teasing about reading twilight p o r n.  In the beginning hubs would always ask if I had anything else to read.  Now his question has become, read anything you would like to try?

So honey......the answer is no. This is not wrong. Nononononononono

There is nothing wrong with it or shocking, it's a completely natural thing; it's enjoyable for a reason! I think it may come back a tad to double standards and archaic gender stereotyping that we still see. Men are viewed as these virile creatures who can't help but think with the wrong head and it's just in their nature whereas women are still very much seen as meek little things that need protecting; god forbid we have a healthy need for release. If men go out and sleep around they're viewed as all conquering heroes, if women do it then they're easy sluts. That or they just like to tease us about the smut.

:D :D :D If you don't want people to copy and save your stuff then don't put it on the internet! Once it's out in the public domain you no longer have any control. There is no way to monitor it.

I bet she gave some people ideas too. When I first started reading fanfic it didn't even cross my mind to save copies of fics I liked/ wanted to read, then someone mentioned it and I had a head-desk moment and filled up 3 USBs...
