Oh hell yeah!!! This O/S was frigging awesome! It definitely needs to become a multi chapter fic :) She did both E & B POV if I remember correctly

I asked in my review if she was likely to get inspired to continue.  We'll see if I get a response.

I just finished reading Could Be Worse, Right by Savage... to say I wasn't disappointed would be a lie.
I've read all her stuff, well now and I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the whole fic. I get what she was saying and how it got there but I just feel jipped.
Has anyone else read this and left with the same feeling?

I haven't read that much Savage though I have all her stuff on my TBR list, I've read Offside which I really enjoyed; what's UC? I'm following Caged but haven't read a single chapter and won't until it completes..

English is a stupid language. Why does there need to be 3 different spellings for the same word and they all mean something different... no other language is this ridiculous. That being said, we're all taught these things in grade school so I don't understand spelling errors either.
I don't understand what you mean? "3 different spelling for the same word" There is English as it is spelt in the UK and then there are the versions that have been colonised in different parts of the world. i would say (being British) that realized is spelt wrong, an American grader schooler (and this infernal site!) would say no it isn't and that spelt is wrong...It all depends on where in the English speaking world you are.

Hitting two topics at once - I just read savage7289's one-shot, Want No More.  I like it.  She teases at the end saying she might continue it with the right review response.  However, it's still a one-shot.  I want more.

:iagree: At least I can say that I've read all her Twi fics... I really like Caged though. One WIP that I'm sticking with.

Which one is Caged?

The only thing of Savage's that I've read so far is Offside...and I flounced. I don't know why, it was good but I just got bored?

And I will not read one shots. Ever. A fic has to be >30K words for me to read.

Caged is wonderful, will be awesome to read all at once.

For the English language I don't mean geographic location and dialects. I mean words that are universal such as There, They're and Their... why on earth are there so many homonyms, synonyms etc... I'm Canadian and I spell realise with an S also put U's in colour, favour, flavour.
I just think it's crazy. I wish that Word could differentiate between words and context and make sure the correct one is used

It's original plot is cage fighting, there are a few sub plots that deal with "Caged" and the meaning altogether.

Savage writes a lot of stuff I have a hard time reading...I couldn't read Offsides, but I loved all the Carlisle must die one shots.  Yes Carlisle dies in them so a one shot is perfect. For CBWR, I read the first chapter a couple chapters in the middle and the end.  I got the gist of the story, skipped the stuff I couldn't deal with, and read the semi HEA ;D

Demaris, there are some good oneshots out there. I usually can deal with angst and character death in a OS, whereas I'm a bit of an angst wimp in a multi-chapter story :P

Spelling is a memorized thing normally in English. Some people just can't remember or memorized a misspelled word. I know for some reason? I have trouble with Tuesday. I want to spell it Teusday. But my spell check yells at me. So now I know that the first spelling for it that jumps into my mind? Yeah, it's wrong  :-\

Sigh....;)

While I agree that you are often left wanting more if the one-shot is really good, although if the story is well written with a clear end I'm fine. I don't hate them and they really don't annoy me (unless they finish on a real cliffie), in fact I more often than not really enjoy the quick, sharp, shortness of them. If I just feel like something quick and I don't have time for a longer story they are great, also if I want a quick break from whatever longer story I am reading.

I most often read them in between longer stories on my TBR list. If I've just read something sad, then I'll find myself a nice little humourous one, or something all squishy and love-y, or if I'm about to start something angst-y I may read one that is the same to let me know if I am in the mood for such a story. They can be useful little things.

Although if it is crap, then you get that wasted time feeling, although I have been known to give one-shots the flick, it's no more (and more often less) time wasting than if you read a couple of chapters of a crappy longer story that you end up giving the flick.

I totally get what you mean regarding the ending of a O/S being what determines the final satisfaction level but regardless I still find myself feeling unfulfilled. I read Through the Kitchen Window by The FicChic You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login As complete a O/S as you can get; told from POV you don't normally hear and as such a really refreshing change, at the end I still wanted to punch someone as if she'd ate my last Rollo! For me a quick read is 10 chapters...That's my equivalent of a sorbet between fics to cleans the palate :D :D

Ella, I trust ya, if you can rec an O/S that doesn't leave me feeling like a woman who, after putting out got only a pat on the back for her troubles..I will be forever grateful  :-*

:D :D If that happened I think people might just stop sending their children to school! I have to say I kinda like the unpredictability of the English language, the way it keeps you on your toes...I love words, I work with them, play with them and (yep you guessed it) rest with them. Though British I was born in Italy and though my speaking if fine I recently enrolled in evening classes to brush up on my writing, I have to tell you Italian grammar can be a nightmare too!

LOL, French is the same... words that end with E are feminine or if it's plural it could end with an S or an OUS or an ENT  >:(
