I'm looking for one of the first fics I ever read, it was about an English Edward who was to inherit a castle and needed an heir. Bella meets him working in a pub while pregnant and he hires her to pretend they've conceived the child together. Edward has awful fashion sense and Bella is quite flighty.

I read this one.  I'm not sure it was ever completed.  The baby is Emmett's from a one night stand or something.  I have it I'm sure, but it's not the name I thought it was.

So..reading Pound of Flesh, almost at the end of it and I have to say thoroughly enjoying it, but. I find myself skipping over the "intimate" scenes and turning pages thinking "please. PLEASE! Don't have s.e.x again!" What is that? Is there such a thing as Lemon Fatigue? Because I'm suffering from a great big dose of it...."oh, oh, oh!" "yes, yes yes!" "faster! deeper! harder!" "F. F. F!" Jesus wept! Enough already....

See? Case in point. "How about" Isabella panted "For now, we just have some amazing s.e.x?" And I thought. 'NO! How about you DON"T!" 

I loved CW&IA, I don't remember thinking it had too much sex, but it had a fair amount. But I agree, with PoF, I did start thinking "enough already, she's gonna chafe!"

You guys are really cracking me up!  I'm new to fanfic and the wildest thing I've ever read is 50 Shades of Gray...   does PoF and CW&IA have about the same lemon level as that?  or even more?  LOL

I have seen it stated that we only read fanfiction for the lemons and that seems to be reflected in the stories.   

I have a tendency to skim those, only because I might miss the proposal, or some other important plot point.   But a few stories are more PWP than actual stories and those I do flounce.   I liked all the stories mentioned, CW&IA, MoBS, Help Wanted, and have POF on the TBR list about 3 down.  Loved Glass House with all its angst, sorry to see it finish, it kept my heart rate up. 

I only read one story where I felt the lemon count was ridiculous but then so was the story when all was said and done.

It is delightful so far, with a great story, bouncing between 1918 and 2009, AU vamps.  It is a WIP but the author has stated it is finished and will be posted as the beta finishes.   

I agree with Chippy, at least with BDSM you might get some useful/interesting (depending on how your cookie crumbles)  information on some new contraption you have never ever heard of! That'll break up the monotony of "hard, harder, harder!...deep, deeper, deeper!..oh baby, oh baby, oh baby!" up a bit.. sheeet

Though I did have to look up a bunch of stuff when reading MOTU which got my hubs all excited until I said 'no way' 

Certain places don't need to be clamped.  Or pierced. Or swat with a paddle.  

But it is fun to read if it's not too SM-y.

I started this one as well last weekend.  Not sure why I didn't get far...Oh yeah, I was taking a break from MoBS & it had updated.  But as usual, when the browser closed, I forgot about it

Happy to say I've finished POF! And don't let my tirade in regards to the overly lemony flavour put anyone of from reading it; it is a really good bit of  fan-fic...it's the kind of meaty read we come to The Realm of Fandom for, so...

LOL!  Well, I'm not sure what needs to be clamped or pierced, but I sure know that for me? Yeah, no one's coming anywhere near any female parts of mine with those things

I'm probably reading about six completed and ten or twelve WIP's at any one time.  Usually because my ADD gets me all. Oooo, was that a bunny??  Um what was I saying?   

You do make me laugh, you and your bunny!

It makes me happy that others sometimes start fics and then forget about them.   There are just too many stories that catch my interest and I forget about the ones I started.  Sometimes I get back and sometimes not.   

Bunnies are very distracting.

Yes, especially when they are f*cking like them. 

I go through my ff folder and think "Oh! I wanted to read that one!"  Then the bunnies get in the way. 

I was planning to start reading pound of flesh.now i am scared.

I wouldn't let it scare you off.  PoF has a fantastically good plot, ant the UST before the first lemon happens is phenomenal.  When the s.e.x scenes start getting boring just skim them (thats what I did ).  The rest of the story is well worth the read
