Yes, especially when they are f*cking like them.  :D :D :D :D

I go through my ff folder and think "Oh! I wanted to read that one!"  Then the bunnies get in the way.  ;)

I do the same thing! I flag a $hit ton of fics, add them to calibre and think: Oh, that's next. That looks really good and that one will be next in line.

Then I flag more, add more and see others. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's an endless cycle.

Question about PoF: does this fic take place in prison for the duration? Or does it start with E in prison and then he's out?

:D :D :D OMG you guyz are cracking me up.Its good to know i am not the only one who has problem with certain type of lemons.Honestly i rather read fics which has 1 or 2  sex scene done with taste in entire story  rather than those fics which has pages of multiple lemons with annoying dialogues.  :astonished: Unfortunately few of my most fav fics  fall into later category.  :-[ Its so irritating to see after such well develop story writer end with such a stuff & write EB like 17 year old horny teenage. :P

sometime unnecessary lemons in every 2nd chapter  are reason i flounced story. It just put me off.  :banghead: I was planning to start reading pound of flesh.now i am scared. :17:

I have to agree with Susanpr POF is worth reading. The first half of the story is crazy good! Which is what I meant by Jaxon not needing to write as many lemony scenes as she does. Read it Robsten, you'll find it's worth it....did that sound like a L'oreal ad  ???

Sorry I always but points of plot under a spoiler cover as some people really don't want to know...

I find myself skipping over the "intimate" scenes and turning pages thinking "please. PLEASE! Don't have s.e.x again!" What is that? Is there such a thing as Lemon Fatigue? Because I'm suffering from a great big dose of it...."oh, oh, oh!" "yes, yes yes!" "faster! deeper! harder!" "F. F. F!" Jesus wept! Enough already....

See? Case in point. "How about" Isabella panted "For now, we just have some amazing s.e.x?" And I thought. 'NO! How about you DON"T!"  :banghead:

I have seen it stated that we only read fanfiction for the lemons and that seems to be reflected in the stories.

You guys are funny and am glad i am not alone with the s.e.x.capade fatigue!   I do like lemony stuff but i didn't think i would reach that point i would skip the lemon scenes in some fics  :P

Am about to finish alphabet weekends and duh, 26 weekends of s.e.x... yeah, too much. Stupid me to expect more "story"so i skip to the dialogues or inner monologues.

Ola Ladies!! Anyone miss me?

I survived the week, although I wasn't sure I would at work. Was it 70 or 80 hrs I worked, heck I don't remember.
By Friday I was like this....I couldn't keep my eyes open.

I came home yesterday and crashed, here it was friday night and I was in bed by 5:30pm. Now for a week off to get some honey do's done. Took me quite awhile to get through all the pages this morning that I missed this week and I still have to get through our other thread.

Maybe I like my lemonade or the fact that I read POF as a wip. Since it would only update about once a month over the past 29 months and I was there every step of the way, the lemons in real life were months apart (lol). Any of the above mentioned items could be it, or just my taste, but I didn't find it too s.m.u.t.t.y. I thought the plot was great and refreshing. After all those years, they found each other again.

I know wips read much different than when they are completed. Now I don't necessarily read only lemons, because plot is essential, but understand that I sought FF, because broken headboards and feathers after 3 books, wasn't enough for this adult.

If you love ust, and 1-2 lemons, I would read solosintwilight, In Your World. I never would have thought I would be captured by an Amish story, but I was. Wonderfully written, lots of ust, and sometimes the simple things can make us happy. Pulled for publishing, it is already uploaded on this site. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Another great read I did as a wip.

Or maybe longer... :D

But I'm glad I take into consideration everything you gals say about a fic but still try to keep an open mind about it still and go and read it and form my own opinion.

I agree with the whole lot of s.e.x. scenes; when do we say not so many but not so little either... I guess it all comes down to a matter of taste  :P

Oh and going to start on the Diva Diaries by KiyaRaven today :)

I missed Ya!
I think you've made a really good point, if you read a lemony story as a WIP and it gets updated over a long period of time,,,then yes I suppose the lemons don't come at ya (pardon the pun) in quite the same way or as monotonously...it'll be a slice of lemon every week/month rather than a whole lemon rammed down your throat.

Err? RD? What exactly is my Boy Toy doing in that last picture of yours?....

Hi!

I´m new to this site, though I´m an ancient reader on ff.net.

Just as I started reading there i found a fic called Bitter, Sweet Symphony by Imwiththevampire08. I loved it, but it was never completed. And when i try to contact the writer she never answers or anything. I would like to know if she had changed her penname or something, I really liked the fict and just in its climax she stopped writing. Not fair!!! (pout) lol.

Wow... Two recs that are still going: TORN BY DOOBA AND WISP BY CRIS. Amazing writing. Angst fics.

xoxo

I think when u read WIP fics , you shoud make sure to check last update date .if there is gap of more than 4-5 months than better avoid..I swear i have like 10 fics as WIP or incomplete   in list but i dont think their author will ever gonna finish stories so I avoid those stories like plague. ;)

like example last story i finshed was diva diaries. As per few members author took almost 2 year to complete it. i dont think i have that much patience to wait.

Unfortunately, she never completed it.  :'( That is why many of us don't read Works in Progress (WiPs)

Hello!
I'm a newbie here, but, I've been searching the shelves of this community (and fanficition.net) for some Edward sick stories and I've very limited options...
I've read "Dead on my feet" by Cesca Marie... And I'm looking for some fanfics in this category... (Where Edward is the sick, weak one and not Bella) so, if you can help me, that would be great!  :-*
Thank you and see you in the shelves!  ;)
