So, I've decided after POF to read How to Save a Life. I'm on Chapter 11 and it's odd
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Which got me thinking further, if I'm so used to these characters fitting into a stereotype and fulfilling a strict plot function, are there any surprises left? And if not then why am I still reading Twifics? Answers on a post card....

Venture into non-canon.  You get some very different plot ideas there!!
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

*Gasp* Chippy! Encouraging me to take a walk on the wild side?  :o  I'm always surprised when I think of the existence of  non-canon stories considering there are fic fans that hound authors off of FF.net if they dare step too far outside the box?!  OK, recommend something to me my dear...I'll give it a try, but not slash! I'm not quite ready for that yet....

Actually, Tanya was very sweet in How To Save A Life.  But...Big Spoiler Alert Here!
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I've read a few with b*tchy Bella's, sweet Rose's, nasty Alice's - well you get it.  OOC characters.  Tanya has been nice in some stories.  You just never know what you will find when you do as Chippy suggests and venture out into the dark side um non-canon world.

And I don't read slash, except a few OS here and there.  Though other characters being gay? Yeah, I'm totally good with that. There's a gay James in Mr. Horrible.....

Well, another of my WIPs just finished.  Though she says something about another epilogue and a few EPOV outtakes to come.

I really enjoyed it though - olderward/marriage of convenience type thing.

I read How to save a Life and there's full of surprises there... Tanya's character plays a REALLY important role in the fic, and Edward will be like that for a long time... sooo...
I kind of like it, 'cause if was well written and the plot was kind of interesting... but, it's a lot of drama (I'm trying to not give spoilers, soooo :))

I just finished A Delicate Line by DarkNnerdy, and it can be added to the non-HEA list for any that are considering giving it a read

And it was one of the most disappointing endings I have ever read, quite possibly the most. I HATE that, when you have a good fic, with promises of action and such and then it just falls short. It was kinda like the author didn't really know how to end it and...well, it wasn't good. No resolution on a lot of important plot points and just left with a  :wtf: and made me a bit :violent-smiley-007:

It was labeled as Suspense and Humor but holy hale. While there were some funny bits in it, it was most def'y a horror fic.

This one's on my to read list, so can you spoil what's so bad about the ending? I don't want to go in and have a main character death, or the couple you're pulling for to not end up together, lol!

On the related note of sameness in stores (which I see A LOT. especially in the Bella/Jasper vampy ones), I never really understand why Jessica is SUCH a b*tch or sl*t all the time. Yeah, she was jealous of Bella in the series, but she wasn't THAT bad, was she? Lauren was, other girls were, but Jessica wasn't that bad, and they ended up friends once she finally got Mike's attention, right?

 >:D Ah, another attempt to bring someone over to the Dark Side.  We have The God of War ;)   :P

What kind of stories do you like?

This one is Jasper/Bella and I'd classify it as Sweetsper :).

Leaves of Grass by Nauticalmass You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

After returning from Italy, Bella's not sure if she can still love Edward. The next morning, she awakens in an unimaginable time and place: Houston, 1862. When she encounters a member of the Cullen family as a human, how far will she follow her heart? B/J

This one is more of a dark, possessive Jasper (aka The God of War).

Finished Product by Mortissues You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Decisions change lives. What happens when a series of decisions set you on the path to become a completely different person? When Edward decides to return life has already moved on.

There are so many awesome ones!

Don't know why, but I got a huge kick out of this line in the fic I'm currently reading :)

Has anyone read Breakfast at Tiffany's by profmom72? I started it, and it's pretty good, but I'm worried that they're getting together too fast and it's going to get boring. How is this one?

well considering her issue, it would have driven him crazy.  I worked with a girl who had the same issue as Tanya.  You never knew who would show up to work - the nice girl or the b*tch. Always felt like I had to tiptoe around her  :P

Yeah I get that. I'm not really talking about this in terms of reality, I'm speaking about the way the story sticks to a very a well worn pattern. Authors always give Edward a get-out clause in terms of his relationship with Tanya, she cheats, or she's manipulative, or she's a total bitch or as in this case
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
..She is never a really nice girl that he just gets bored of, which in most cases is what happens in lots of relationships, the emphasis is always on some fault in Tanya....But saying that, and I'm just having a moan, I'm really enjoying HTSAL...it is, cliches aside, a really really good story. would recommend it.

NB. In fact I'm bawling like a baby right now!

Well, you can't have Edward be a lying cheating jerk, can you? Oh wait, I guess you can.  But then Bella always saves him  :)  Isn't that why we love these stories? ;)

I read it a long time ago. I can't remember everything, but boring it is not.  I actually enjoyed reading it and will probably read it again.
