This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

I need an interesting fic to read, I haven't read anything good in a long time....  :( Anyone know any good rec's ?
So I just started the Gravity series - not to be confused with Defying Gravity (also a good story).  Really enjoyed the first one. I'm almost done with Blood and Glory.  Lots of action, lemons (because Drotuno loves lemons) and a well written story.  I would definitely rec it.

It took me forever to learn how to comment!! I've alway used flag fic to download my fanfiction into PDF format so I can read on my Kindle app. Much to my dismay I can't do it anymore! It took me forever to learn how to comment!! I've alway used flag fic to download my fanfiction into PDF format so I can read on my Kindle app. Much to my dismay I can't do it anymore! If you want to be able to read on your Kindle App, your best bet would actually be to download it in Mobi format. You can download a program called Calibre, then get a plug in called the fanfiction downloader for calibre, and download it that way. If you search this thread using the term "calibre" you should find full instructions on how to set it all up.

I need to continue this series, I read the firsts one and really enjoyed it, but I kinda suck these days at keeping up with series. Darned readers ADD!

If you want to be able to read on your Kindle App, your best bet would actually be to download it in Mobi format. No, you download calibre for your computer. Do you have an iphone or android? There are ff apps you can get in the google store for android, not sure about ipad though.

That's why I download because they do remove things!! The kindle app is just easier for  me to use. I once again thank you for all your help and kindness!! I've been so discouraged since I found the FlagFic not working. I'm not having much look with the others you suggested either, but hopefully FlagFic will resolve the issues and be up and running again soon!

I'm stuck on the name Thomas but every time I tell friends or family that's what I like for bump they start singing A Boy Named Sue.  :D

I know what you mean hun, my brothers were all given normal names and I was given the weird name which I loathe. My parents are the only one that calls me and hates it being shortened in anyway too.
I usually go by my middle name though most peeps just call me "Lo" as that is the first two letters to my first and middle name but they never do it in front of the 'rents.  :D
Where as if when Saxon and bump get older and want to change or shorten their names it wouldn't bother me, my Daughter does it everyone calls her "Chels" or "Lou".
But my kids have names if they don't like they have middle names that are acceptable as well.  :)

We were talking about baby names over the weekend and I shot down one of the husbands ideas. Because I don't want to hear him quote the movie old school all the time. So the next thing out of his mouth is if it's a boy we could name him sue  :o Ummm I don't know

That must of been confusing at times if people asked for Dana - were you like "Which one?" I imagine that was what it was like for Taylor when he was dating Taylor Swift.

My names Logan-Berry but like I said I go by my middle name most of the time which is Lois (but hardly anyone can say it or spell it right), so you can see why most peeps call me Lo.

I was originally going to call my daughter by her first name, but my country bumpkin relatives had such a hard time with Ashlynn, they were calling her everything from Ashley to Ashton to Adrienne(freaking Adrienne? really??), so within a couple of days, I switched it and started calling her by her middle name, Skye. And NOW people try like hell to call her Skyler. No, no 'Ler, just freaking SKYE.

And my youngest is Alissa, but half my family wants to call her Alisha or Alicia. WTF, people?? It's not that damned hard, seriously! Should have called her by her middle name too, but then we'd have a Skye and a Raine, and people would think we were total hippy dippy, but we're really not.

My poor kids full name is a mouthful. I gave her my maiden name for her middle name, and it sounds like she has 2 last names. But it was important that my family name be passed on somehow. My sister and I were the first girls born in lot our family in over 70 years. So the family tree ends with us.

Just a reminder that while you can't use Flagfic on fanfiction.net right now, you can still use it on many other fanfiction sites.  I pulled a few stories off the Twilighted website yesterday using Flagfic.  Keep in mind though that sometimes Twilighted isn't as updated as fanfiction.net.  I had windows open for each site so that I could check that the number of chapters matched, and if they did then I downloaded from Twilighted using Flagfic.  Just another option for you.

I love that you post this too  :-* and yes, 152 may well have a larger audience but...EVERYTIME I go over there I leave with 20 more fics!!  :banghead: :-[ :violent-smiley-007:

EDIT: Just thinking....Caro why don't you start another thread for them? Or it might be best to post here and alert there.. Because it's true about getting 'in trouble', 152 are for fics that have already been pulled and cannot be found online anymore. Thanks for all your help! I just need a way to download ff to PDF format so I can read on my kindle app. I want to download them off ff not read from ff! Thanks again


I have an 4th gen iPod touch that should be similar to your iPhone and apple has an app called Neosoarbook. This program can read PDFs and EPUB but I find that the EPUB is tons easier to read than PDFs on smaller devices. I would recommend downloading Calibre, and once you have the EPUB of your story, you can add the story you want to read to Neosoarbook in iTunes. I find that it works great for me.
