This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I've noticed that I'm not abnle to read supernatural fic anymore... no vampires only humans... Has someone of you felt the same for a period? Has it passed?

I go back and forth. Sometimes I'm really into the vamp fics, which tend to be more angsty, and then I need something lighter and read lemony human fics for awhile.

Curious - what does AWTFA stand for?

And it looks like I'm back to talking to myself again.

Ah but this Dimitri is a hot Russian warrior, I LOVED him. In fact, I think I will start a series reread. It's a YA series, without being TOO Ya, if that makes sense.

I've been away from my computer today. Is ffnet down? I can get the main page and category pages to load, but that's it. I mainly just get error messages for stories.

I saw an episode of the Originals. I haven't quite figured out if it is any good. It is a little different. But I probably won't watch it. I have a hard time getting into the CW shows for some reason.

I guess I could watch True Blood on Netflix. But really? Unless the characters are different from the books in a better way? Not really interested.

Season 1 of TB is just like the first book. After that, they've really got very little in common. I guess the characters are the same - ish.

The good thing is that, unlike most series that seem to have 22 eps in a Season, TB only has 12 - actually, the last season only had 10.

I will never catch up on Supernatural! It has 22 eps and is up to Season 9!

It's definitely playing up. I can get some pages but get an error message on others - no rhyme nor reason,

I can read the update to Me and Mr Cullen that I didn't read this morning - WOOHOO!

But not the one-shot for a competition that I promised I would read and review - BOOHOO!

ETD: If you keep hitting F5 (wait for the page to fully re-load each time), the fic eventually appears - it takes about 5-10 attempts but it's been working for me.

I discovered that Catastrophia is not on fictionpad though and had no choice but to read the latest chap of Me and Mr. Cullen at ffnet. I only remembered to look at TWCS just now and saw she updated it there. I was wondering where i could locate a similar "follow" button in TwCS so i can get an email alert. Or by simply choosing "add to favorite" a story and author, that means i will already get an alert?

I think you got Lauren confused with Illabeth. Lauren is Lellabeth on ff.net and Illabeth is MY fellow islander.

You have to add a story and author to favourite separately in order to get an alert when a story updates.

I read the first 6 SS books and then I just couldn't be bothered any more, and I've only watched the first 2 seasons of TB on TV, there didn't really seem to be very much correlation between the two, apart from the character names.

I enjoyed Vampire Academy though the idea that the Dhampirs being in life-long servitude to the vampires was kinda 'off'; but Dimitri has to be one of my favourite 'heroes'; hot!

I'm not even going to bother with the film; after Twilight? Nope, better to keep it all in my imagination.

I don't think I've seen more than 3 sporadic episodes of Supernatural and yeah it has been going on forever...

I'm reading Boy In The Red Sweater only about 4 chapters in but not sure how I feel about it yet...anyone else read this and enjoyed it? No plot spoilers please, just a 'yep great story' or ' nah, waste of time' will do. Ta very much...

I LOVED Heat by Princess Rachael! Very good writing and an original story in my opinion and not to predictable.

Ya, I loved Heat as well. Here My Mate and My Power stories are also FANTASTIC.

When you add an author to favorites you get an alert only when they post a new story. To get alert for story updates you have to add it to favorites.

Hi guys! I finished Smoke and Mirrors last night and the entire Gravity series was really great. Thanks again to those who rec'd it. Enjoyed them immensely. Think she should write a real book as these, IMO, are as good as Catherine Coulter's FBI series. I hope am not just being biased bec drotuno has the advantage of using very beloved characters that we can forgive for doing just about anything. Still, the way she writes those action scenes, the family/friend dynamics and lovely lemons really evoked emotions from me, which for me makes her awesome author.

Am now debating whether i should start reading Fire & Ice or not. Drotuno seems to be updating pretty regularly but you know my wiphobia...damn, where has catastrophia gone? She hasn't updated Me and Mr Cullen since July! $:-\$ Same for emmamama88's Lullabies and Eternal love $:-\$

I'm reading F&I and loving it - I must be one of the few peeps that doesn't have WIPhobia.

I laugh in the face of WIPs - okay I cry at the moment, but you get what I mean.

It was a good story. It seemed to have the same small issues that her Silver Bay story had with minor SPaG errors. I enjoyed it though.

I am currently doing a quick re-read of Pieces of You by Drotuno and then I am going to start her Angel series. I have read the reviews on here that it is a great series. I enjoyed her Gravity Series, so I am going to give this one a shot.

I also just downloaded a free PDF to EPUB converter. It can do single stories or batches of them. I tried it this morning, and so far it seems like a great program for those of us that don't want to do that online.

Updated Calibre with my favs from Archive of Our Own, Fanfiction, TWCS, and Twilighted, but still need to do Fictionpad. I have organized, deleted duplicates, etc.
Then I created a separate library for my books and did the same. But this one I coordinated with Goodreads for the metadata and my rankings of the ones I have read.

No idea how the heck to make count pages plugin work.

I finished Creature of Habit and will read the 10 chp sequel Creatures of Habit then I will start reading My Mate.

Today I need to wash clothes, clean, pack for a trip, and work on work. I am so far behind. Kinda baffling actually considering the hours I work.
So I have to do work, when all I really want to do is....
