"I'm usually very careful about not including trigger words in the titles. Phew. However, they'll probably come looking now, but quite frankly, I don't care. I hate the nanny state/witch hunt mentality of it. My stories are clearly in the M category which is for 16 years and older and, as most people in the world can have sex at the age of 16, why the hell can't they read about it? I'm sick of beating myself up about it. I'd much rather a 17 year old was exposed to the sex in my stories than watching some of the god awful NOT ALLOWED out there.

This just confirms our suspicions that these reporters of offensive content aren't even reading the stories at all, and are just looking for the word "lemon" in the summary. Bastards.

If you want to go inside the Statue of Liberty, you need to get an appointment now. We didn't know this and only found out when we got there that the next available slots were almost a year later. It was crazy. And you can still go to Liberty Island without the appointment. You just can't go into the statue.

Truthfully? I don't know if it is that big of a deal to go inside. I've never been there. There is so much to see in NYC, so really, you may not want to waste the time. The line to get in was really long from what I saw. I enjoyed the trip over and walking around Liberty Island. Then we went to Ellis Island. That was also really interesting. I loved Greenwich Village and Times Square. Then there is St Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Wall Street... Battery Park.... And the shopping. Okay, window shopping....

I've been there twice, and really enjoyed it both times.

I actually don't know if they've pulled any of them yet. I think they have the group read the stories and report the ones that are against the TOS. So some may never get pulled.

All I know about Atlanta is the airport. And I don't really recommend it! There is the Coca Cola Factory there. I think the HQ is based out of there. I've heard good things about it.

The Coke museum has a tasting room at the end of the tour, and you can taste all the different cokes from around the world since they use different sugars and the coke variations. Or at least that is all my husband talks about in reference to the museum, I have never been.

So my trip to the US in 2014 is booked and paid for!

I leave home on 20 June and arrive in New York (after nearly 48 hours of travel!) on the evening of 21 June.

I'm visiting NYC - 21 June to 25 June.
Atlanta - 25 June to 29 June.
Chicago - 29 June to 3 July
Seattle - 3 July - 9 July.

Quick stop at LAX then back to Brisbane on 11 July and then home on Sunday, 13 July. Then another week off work to recover.

I'm so excited! I need to know what I need to see and do in each city, and if anyone is close by to meet in person!

Any travel tips? Secrets only the locals know? Places to avoid?

Oooh, i envy you Astro! Have only been to NY among the cities you mentioned. That was back in May 2001 so i was able to visit the top of Twin Towers before 9/11

We only rode the Staten Island ferry so we could see the Statue of Liberty "up close"

All the other sites mentioned by Ella we were able to visit. What i regret was not being able to watch a broadway play (with a 2 yr old in tow, that was not in the plans). But we did see the outside of Radio Music Hall

Don't know if it is still there/advertised as much, but we tried to visit some of those Seinfeld and You've Got Mail locations. We had coffee and cake at the resto where Tom was supposed to meet Meg

It would be interesting to see how those places look like now.

Sorry to be cheesy, but it would be great for me to see first hand some places mentioned in books i've read or shows/movies i've watched. So aside from Pike Market, i would also like to see Escala in Seattle, and all those other sites mentioned in FSoG.

I'm guessing it's some sort of statement but wouldn't she be less recognizable if she just drove a generic gray sedan? And while Jeep Cherokee's are nice, I envisioned Rob driving something more exotic on a daily basis.

I saw a similar article about this in Hollywoodlife over the weekend. That article said they met for 1 hour to discuss about their dogs, that since he will be going away to shoot a movie he was thinking of leaving their dogs with her or something like that. Of course with those other innuendos about getiing together again etc. but not purely about possible hooking up and reconciling like that dailymirror one.

daily mirror said they were together 4 hours and didn't even mention their dogs!

oh well, gossip rags can really put so many spins on these things, you won't know what's the truth. You just take these things with a grain of salt. Again, whatever keeps Rob happy....

Bec of that article, i figured they kept some old trucks so it would be easier to transport their dogs? I don't think dogs would be comfortable in sports or other luxury sedans (not to mention the possible "damage" they can do to cars). Plus maybe they are really just down to earth folks, which i like, not flaunting their wealth through expensive cars. Isn't it Rob likes craiglist and haggling? Wouldn't be surprised if he got his truck from there, like his first car in the US a few years ago

Sigh, was looking for a short but good actorward...this wasn't it, 2.5 stars

Maybe bec i read this after the gravity series, my "bar" was raised and i expected better than average writing. It wasn't really that bad but i didn't connect with the characters...and it just ended "abruptly" for my liking. I read her other one Game, Set, Match and it was ok (3 stars). Don't rush to read this
