After PrincessRachael's well written Heat, I feel like I'm in a fanfic slump. I just read the following three fics and enjoyed them, just not as much as I was hoping. I'm still going to review them here because I think my reservations have more to do with simply not reading these stories at the right time. I think I needed something more fast-paced and action-oriented.

Birds of a Feather - luckyirishtart
A slow-moving, but sweet story about a broken couple finding their way back to each other. A Southern (US) story with lots of music and lyrics.

Nature of Love - drotuno
I liked drotuno's Gravity and Angel series, so I thought I'd try this one. It's one of the author's earlier fics and, to me, it shows. The story was pleasant overall, just a little boring near the end. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this one, but I finished feeling a little disappointed. A great Rose though.

Okay, I tried downloading Ficfangirl's favs and it seemed to have worked all the way up to the updating the files. I left it running most of yesterday and last night. It finally finished but then got stuck in the updating library. I ended up cancelling it. I will try again later when I can leave it set up somewhere where the cats won't knock it over.....

There is NOTHING I hate more then a fanfic RUT!!

I really like:
-unplanned perfection bylittlecat358
-There will be Blood and Freedom byJohnnyboy7 (Probably my Favorites)
-Last Tango In Forks By AweseomeSause76
-Almost all SexiLexiCullen
I love a good political story too, I haven't came across many that meet my criteria though

I do NOT read vamp tics. I LOVE EM' LONGGGG! I do not read short ones, I like to get really invested! Only BxE! I like it when the whole gang is involved, but only B&E Point of views. I'm not super picky about grammar and such but if it's clearly horrible I just can't deal! In some stories if they fall in love right away I don't mind but usually if it's chapter four they've just met and are in love I'm not digging it. I like a slow burn but Lemons are good, REALLY GOOD!

The last fic I read and enjoyed was The Bigger They Are By: LadyExcalibur2010
I've read most of the BIG hits everyone loves. I have to be in the mood for Highschool (and I'm not right now)

I hope all of this is enough to go on to give me some good fic. recs. I Thank you all from the bottom of my heart in advance!! And Happy Thanksgiving to all those who are celebrating!!

LOL! That was great. Thank goodness, only one of my SILs is that particular and we usually just bring wine. She tends to do it all herself. Actually, she isn't that bad - she's more particular about what she serves.

I'm probably not the best at rec'ing stuff as most people have read everything I've read. Also, I love Actorward and Vampward the best. That said, have you tried The Cullen Legacy by Patty Rose. We all liked it if I remember correctly. It is Politicionward with a British Bella.

If you're in the mood for a really long fic with lots of lemons (light BDSM too), then you might try justginger's People Like Us. It was so, so, so long, but I really liked the journey of Edward and Bella. The writing is fair, and the SPaGs are pretty horrible at times, but the story itself is good. In other words, justginger isn't a great writer, but she is a great story teller. I was curious enough to want to know what happened to these two and their family, so I'm reading the sequel as my first WIP.

That's usually why I stick to Actorward - Have you read Help Wanted by Jaxon22? Or the Man that Can't Be Moved by Jenny0719? Both are long with angsty fluff. And I don't remember a lot of problems with SPaG errors.

I've only read the first of this series, but it was really good. I need to start the second one but I don't have time to read anything straight through right now, so I'm sticking to short stuff and rereads that I can put down easily....

It's exactly the same problem that I have. The download worked fine but it got stuck at the end - in the updating library part. And I had to cancel it.
