This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Okay, I am in desperate need of a fanfic rec. I am in such a rut!  :(   There is NOTHING I hate more then a fanfic RUT!! :(
I really like:
-unplanned perfection bylittlecat358
-There will be Blood and Freedom byJohnnyboy7 (Probably my Favorites)
-Last Tango In Forks By AweseomeSause76
-Almost all SexiLexiCullen
I love a good political story too, I haven't came across many that meet my criteria though :(
I do NOT read vamp tics. I LOVE EM' LONGGGG! I do not read short ones, I like to get really invested! Only BxE! I like it when the whole gang is involved, but only B&E Point of views. I'm not super picky about grammar and such but if it's clearly horrible I just can't deal! In some stories if they fall in love right away I don't mind but usually if it's chapter four they've just met and are in love I'm not digging it. I like a slow burn but Lemons are good, REALLY GOOD! ;D
The last fic I read and enjoyed was The Bigger They Are By: LadyExcalibur2010
I've read most of the BIG hits everyone loves. I have to be in the mood for Highschool (and I'm not right now)

I hope all of this is enough to go on to give me some good fic. recs. I Thank you all from the bottom of my heart in advance!! And Happy Thanksgiving to all those who are celebrating!!   ^-^

That's usually why I stick to Actorward - Have you read Help Wanted by Jaxon22? Or the Man that Can't Be Moved by Jenny0719? Both are long with angsty fluff.  And I don't remember a lot of problems with SPaG errors. 
I've only read the first of this series, but it was really good.  I need to start the second one but I don't have time to read anything straight through right now, so I'm sticking to short stuff and rereads that I can put down easily....

I don't know of that many political ones.



Well I started the Man Who Can't Be Moved and they were in love just a little to quick for me!! Is Help Wanted like that? I'm a little picky, I guess that's why it's hard for me to find a new one to read! Thank you for all your help!

LOL! Not right away.  There is the attraction, but I think he holds off for a bit in that one. 

So no love at first sight. 

Fridays at Noon just added a final EPOV.  If you haven't read that one, it is really great.  I think Edward may fall a little quickly, but he is such a jerk at first, Bella doesn't like him much.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

She's also pulling it soon, so if you want it, grab it now.  Though I'm sure it will all be loaded in the 152 thread soon, if it hasn't been already.  You can also find it in my Calibre drive - see link in my footer line.  You have to search to find it.  The latest chapter isn't there yet, but should be by the end of the day....

Thanks for the information.  This is one of my absolute favourite fanfic authors and I wish her all the best.

Let's hope her story takes off and she is successful.

So my fanfic slump hit an all-time low today with xxLuAshxx - Mates For Eternity. I hate sounding mean, but PTS is where you can vent right? This fic was stupid. It was pretty good for the first half or so, but kept getting more rushed and every few pages dramatic events would pop up out of nowhere (along with A/Ns in the middle of the story). SPaGs were minimal and the writing was fair, but the plot itself was just bad. I thought I'd forewarn as I figured I might not be the only one who picked this up from the 152 thread. My rec is to skip this one.





Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the story. I will admit that it wasn't the greatest fic I have read and I have certainly read better, but overall I didn't think it was that bad. Just my opinion.

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the story. I will admit that it wasn't the greatest fic I have read and I have certainly read better, but overall I didn't think it was that bad. Just my opinion.

 ^-^  I decided to read some OF to take a break as I've been less than thrilled with many of the fics I've read as of late. I'm glad you enjoyed it though--it's good to have differing opinions.  8)

I think her book comes out in January.
I just preordered it from Amazon.  It is $4.61 which is reasonable for an ebook, I guess. 172 pages.  Hmm.  It looks cute. 

I just hate when I pay $12 for a ebook and then find out it's only 250 pages. That is crazy.  Especially when the paperback is only $9.99......

I have them all in mobi except the newer ones, I think.  Then again, I probably have all but that last chapter of Fridays at Noon, since I used to download everything in mobi because I read on a Kindle.  I only do the epub now because it gives me all the great metadata and it converts easy.  Plus? Epub takes up less room, so until I want to read it on the Kindle, I save space.  Kind of important when I have 20K books....  :D :D :D :D :D

So I won't mention that I'm downloading some other stuff at the same time....  I should probably just give up tonight and plug into my router tomorrow to do it. 

I had a very hard time not going to the After Thanksgiving sales that started on Thanksgiving.  A couple places were selling the iPad mini for $299 with a $100 gift card back.  So $199.  I don't need an iPad mini.  I probably would not use it. I never use my iPad micro (my old iPhone)  I hardly use my Android tablet.  Though it's great for magazines..... But I just feel this need to go buy things.  Sigh.

I ate another piece of pie instead.   :D :D :D :D :D

So I won't mention that I'm downloading some other stuff at the same time....  I should probably just give up tonight and plug into my router tomorrow to do it. 

I had a very hard time not going to the After Thanksgiving sales that started on Thanksgiving.  A couple places were selling the iPad mini for $299 with a $100 gift card back.  So $199.  I don't need an iPad mini.  I probably would not use it. Sorry you're having trouble with my favorites.

Just remember, all that 'stuff' on sale?  We don't really need any of it.  Of course, most of us don't need that extra piece of pie, either...except the pregnant ladies in our group.

I have heard about the Black Friday sales wish I could afford to go down to the US and take advantage.....


As for the extra piece of pie, just do some extra exercise to compensate, then you will be golden and won't have to worry about guilt.... :grin:

I know. We were first in line for that and decided, we have Ipad 2's, why do we need a mini. I NEVER use my kindle anymore. We did head out shopping after supper since most places opened at 8pm. We hit Best Buy, Target, Walmart and while standing in the lines to checkout, I ordered from Kohls and also from Best Buy via my phone.  Got home around 11. Will read a few minutes and then hit more stores tomorrow. I swear the older I get, the more I hate crowds. But it's like tradition. We have done it every year of our marriage.
