If they do not want to keep those stories there FFN:net which are reported as offensive,
Why they not let us to save them using Flag?

I agree completely!  I have asked several authors for PDf's of their stories and told they don't have them but I could download them.  That was before I found out how to do it myself, of course.  I have never had an author tell me that I can't.  This is probably another of the "Prude Patrols" doings!   

I have heard of some authors that have requested no one download their stories, but really? It is fanfiction!! It isn't copy-writed, so if someone likes your story enough to download it and save it, they should take that as a compliment.

Since Flagfic is not working for FF.net, I downloaded fanfictiondownloader and it works with FF.net just fine. I even was able to grab ALL of the chapters for PrincessRachel's Heat.

OK, bypassing CW&IA is just WRONG! It is way too good to be passed over. Seriously. LOL. I sent a message to FF.net via twitter, but it probably won't do much good. They don't care.

I don't think FFN will care if we complain individually but if we form a collective? How many of us are on this thread and 152? Are there any HP threads on here that we can reach out to?  I think they may 'care' if the numbers are high enough...

If you are flagfic'ing anything, just check that all of the chapters are there - I flagged HEAT, only to discover the last few chapters are missing, so then I calibre'd instead.

I guess I was lucky. I emailed myself My Mate, My Power, and Heat by PrincessRachel in epub yesterday at 1045am est. I just compared all 3 and they are ok.

That they are now intentionally blocking......

The Ocean at the End of the Lane is a great read but too short.

Stardust is great, but I think my fav works by Gaiman are American Gods, Neverwhere and The Graveyard Book.  I flove him.  He is one of my favorite authors.  I have everything he's ever written in signed, first editions.  EVERYTHING!  I started collecting his work when I was itty bitty-- starting with The Sandman.  There is the prequel to Sandman coming out this month if you're interested.

I can't wait to read it!   I read The Graveyard Book and REALLY liked it... also read Neverwhere but for some reason I wasn't crazy about that one (my husband liked it).   I loved Stardust just because it was so "pretty" to read...   I read this years ago and still have some of the scenes stuck in my head!   What a beautiful book!    Again, was disappointed in the movie because it didnt do it justice and now anytime I recommend the book people say "Oh I saw the movie" and I'm thinking DOH! movie doesn't count!    I need to check out American Gods, I've heard a lot about it but never read it.

I'm a little jealous of those of you reading vampward right now (Grasping Darkness, Creature of Habit, My Mate) and am tempted to shelve the HP series I'm immersed in, but I just can't. I'm on the Hogwarts Express and really enjoying G. Norman Lippert's ride! *chug, chug, chug, Whoohoo!*

I can't wait to read this!  I think I need to move it to the top of my list!   Well, now that I say that the 3rd Divergent book, the sequel to Angelfall and the 3rd Gabriel's Inferno book all come out this fall so I am going to be a tad busy.   I'm going to skim the first Divergent books before reading the 3rd and will speed read Angelfall before the sequel...  but my dearest Gabriel is getting the whole month of December dedicated to him.   I'm going reread the whole thing and I'm really hoping that I like it as much the second time...   You guys scare me a little when you talk about how you read a favorite a second time and it doesn't draw you in as much.   I don't think I've ever read the same book/fic more than once unless you count skimming before a new release.      Gabriel's Inferno was by far my favorite romance book and then it was knocked down a peg by The Bronze Horseman seres but its still up there.   I could never read The Bronze Horseman again because it took to much out of me...   I was so spent by the time I finished that series.  Talk about an epic romance!   (I'm rambling?  )
