I just tried them both (on a regular computer, not ipad) and the appspot one was not able to access fanfiction.net, but the webversion one worked, just a whole lot slower.

Hmmm, they should have fixed it. Yeah I thought they were both a little slow. But better than nothing. 

So I procrastinated my work, and finished the story - it was Dreamcatcher by ocdmess.  Someone asked for it on the 152 thread and I realized I had it on my reader (in epub if anyone wants it that way).  It is a supernatural, all human fic, and it was good, although I felt like she could have written more (I think she has pulled it to turn it into a trilogy), it had a good ending, I just didn't feel that the story was done.  Now I can't start another story until I get my work done tonight.

Errr? OCDMess? This is the author who wrote "English isn't my first language' in her summary? She doesn't count! I have 3 words Hit by Destiny! 

OK, I went to Cailbre to use since FanFic is being a complete butthead but I found out I can't use it with my IPad.  Any ideas on what I can do now?

 

I use my iPad to read fics and I use Calibre on my laptop and then send everything over as I need it....

I sent my email over this morning after Steve asked. I didn't bother to mince my words but I didn't call them arseholes either, I dropped the words 'customer service' a lot and and them no longer being the only player in the fanfic arena and that their bad 'behaviour' will result with readers taking their fanfic addiction elsewhere....

My friend got married a couple of weeks ago, she had a multi, multi tier cake ( this thing could have been seen from space!). She's just got back from her honeymoon and arrived on my doorstep with one whole tier as a 'thank you' for all my help.....Marie Antoinette's 'let them eat cake' keeps reverberating around my mind every time I take a bite, but, my, it is delicious! *Scuttles around* Now, where is my copy of 30DS..

I know this is totally off topic but I have to share that I have two new loves in my life at the moment Max & Nev from Catfish. 
I've just caught up on the last few weeks which were on my Sky+.
OMG, I love those guys I really wish I knew guys like them, and bonus they are both cute. 

I'll continue off topic with you, I had never heard of this show so I looked it up on wikipedia and some of the episode descriptions are really interesting.  I didn't read through all of them (I really should be getting some work done), are the people ever who they say they are?

Some of the people haven't been completely fake and some of the people have started a proper relationship after the show has finished. 

FYI  I have just listed a bunch of fics on the reportable offence list - the fics listed include High Fidelity and A Pound of Flesh.

Wasn't the crossfire trilogy changed to be a 5 part series before she started writing the third book? I've been holding out because I didn't want to get stuck.

I've found an app that will allow you to download from ff.net and read offline!!! It's not in a pretty epub format though, it looks like you're reading straight from ff.net. Right now I'll take anything I can get. The stories are not saved to iBooks. They're saved onto the app which is a bit scary so I'm hoping this is only a short term solution. It also has a few good features like syncing your favourite stories and authors. The link to the app is below.

Hopefully since I posted the message about everyone sending ff.net an email or tweet, we've done that.  Right? 

Ok, so I was thinking that with regards to this whole fanfiction.net blocking the grabbers, in addition to complaining to them, why don't we ask authors if they have considered posting their stories on an other site. If fanfiction sees a drop in the number of new stories posted, then maybe they will wake the HELL up.

I downloaded a program from Fanfictiondownloader to my computer and it works great. It does have epub, mobi and other formats available.
