Yes, happens a lot to me.  I usually start a few different ones & if they aren't grabbing me, I usually put them aside.  Unless they are just bad.  Then I flounce.  But if I can tell I would like it if I didn't just finish a great story, it goes back on the TBR list.  Then I reread something I know is good. At least until I get bored.  But usually by that time? I find something I like.

Short  stories of around 30K to 50K words are also good.  If you read a bunch of short stories and one-shots, it kind of clears the brain a bit.   

Can anyone recommend a good Amnesia fic? Either Bella or Edward can be the one affected...I just want to read a good one!

You ladies certainly are interesting. 

I've started to read Controlled Burn and it's taking a bit longer than I had imagined to get to E/B developing, etc.

I'm wondering if any of you share in my predicament of incessantly comparing a fic to a favorite and never truly being satisfied. I feel this way with Wide Awake and High Anxiety. They were the first fics I have read and the only ones to have really stayed with me. Everything else since they has just been a notch above eh.

Anyone else feel this way? Am I reading he wrong fics? Is there such a thing as the "Bible" of fanfiction that some get close to but never quite reach?

Oh I've been following this story, and reading it, good thing the author is going to post everything by Friday!

The other one that has me hooked is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login is a good story full of good moments and has a lot of political intrigue, it's kinda of refreshing, at least for me it is and people it is a WIP, so those who are WIPphobic please just follow it and wait for it to be completed

There are two that spring to mind, and quite fittingly, I can't remember the title or author,    but the other ladies here are really good at deciphering my rambles so someone might fill in the blanks.

The first one isn't actually amnesia, it's more early onset Alzheimer's or a brain injury, I think. I also think it's a o/s, or just a very short fic, but it is just beautiful.

Bella works in a cafe/bakery and every morning Edward comes in and buys a coffee from her - he thinks she is beautiful, but looks really sad. It turns out that they are married, and he is in some sort of care facility and her life is just on hold because she can't move on. I've read it a few times and every time it just breaks my heart.

Loopy, I don't want you anywhere near my bed. Or car.

Oh Loopy!! You really crack me up!! I am so envious of you and your husband's adventurous spirit. 

Now, next time you do a mission, it should include a condition you shouldn't get caught... that should make it more exciting yet safe for you both.  . It would be difficult for us to pay actual bail from the virtual world, so be fun yet safe!
