  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #4 - We are crazy talkers here!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

From pattyrose's profile:

* I CANNOT provide pdf or any other type of copies to "Thief of Hearts." I have other plans for that story and cannot distribute copies at the moment.*

Pulled to publish possibly?!?

Interesting..Well I'm at the start of the story and I must admit it has definitely got me hooked, so far, so very, very good!

Bella's life was in shambles until she took a chance and rediscovered a love that refused to die...AU, B/E, HEA. This story has a fantastic twist that most don't see coming. If you're looking for a "realistic" story, this aint it, but there are absolutely NO VAMPIRES!

I loved this story! Well more like the concept of it.

But not everybody might like it, there is mention of something that might weird some people out.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I know... it's a bit creepy, but it didn't really bother me because well they weren't really related.

And you will be surprised, the author has you guessing a bit because she based this in a movie and she didn't say what movie it was until  later chapters. I guessed and I was right. :)

I read past midnight last night and that is something that I don't normally do.   I don't think I'll ever be able to read another romance without comparing it to the greatness of this book!

I loved this fic too, but I have a bit of a thing for knicnort3 's fics.  ^-^
I loved what you did with the spoilers, like I say even though I've read it I still had to see what you were hiding.  :D
Mind you I think the alternative version of this fic: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login is a bit far fetched, but now I've read a few chapters and left all of my common sense at the door I quite like it.  :)

Next time I should look in the fridge before I ask such a question... there wasn't any butter  :'( only grill butter with herbs and garlic, nothing for cupcake frostings...  :D so a simple sugar frosting with nonpareilles it was...

LINK les16 - The Breakers
« Reply #3274 on: August 20, 2013, 02:13 PM »
So I finished The Breakers by Les16, and I liked it. I hope you don't mind a slight difference in opinion, but I was surprised by how many people LOVED it. I mean, it was good, don't get me wrong, but I found myself kind of skimming a bit here and there. Probably because I couldn't get enough of Edward--he was absolutely wonderful. I was glad he wasn't written as cynical as his character probably should have been. And I adored the little girl. It was written well and had enough action, angst and drama to keep me entertained. It had a lot of fluff though and I guess I'm starting to realize that's just not my thing (usually). I'm glad I read it though, thanks for the rec.

After spending 7 years in prison, Edward gets a new start in the fishing village of Corea, Maine. Can a little girl and her mom, Bella, see beyond his past and can they all find love again...or will the ocean swallow them whole?

I was thinking of giving Terroir by Thimbles a shot as many of you seemed to really like that one, but I couldn't figure out what kind of fic it is when reading up on it. Is it all fluff? I don't know why I keep fearing that it is.

Its a proper 'epic love story' isn't it? I have to say that I've read other books by Paullina and she is just a really good writer; Red Leaves is a good read and so is Tully....

I am really enjoying Thief Of Hearts by Pattyrose, it's FBIward and a real thriller 'page turner' or...scroll-er  as the case may be  :D

Very little drama.
