  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #4 - We are crazy talkers here!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Next time I should look in the fridge before I ask such a question... there wasn't any butter  :'( only grill butter with herbs and garlic, nothing for cupcake frostings...  :D so a simple sugar frosting with nonpareilles it was...

Welcome ,  going to share those cupcakes??  :D  :-*

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
So I'm in Greensboro for a week for work with my boss.  It is messing with my reading time LOL! ;)

I was trying to read on the plane - well I had no problems with the first flight - the lady next to me slept the whole way, but people looking over shoulder while reading a story full of lemons gets embarrassing. LOL! Any way started Cien Anos de Soledad You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

It is an Actorward that has been on my TBR list forever.  So far so good.  Bella was volunteering as an aide in an orphanage in Venezuala and gets forced to leave because of the fighting. She is bringing home one of the orphans & meets Edward on the plane. So far, other than some SPaG errors, it's really good. ;D

I know you ladies always rec such great stories only when I go to pick one off my Kindle, I always seem to forget which ones were rec'd LOL!  So bad... :-*

It is GREENSboro. Lol

Girl but seriously. You can't see but so much green with all the city around. Try 3 hrs due east near the coast. Where there is ONE stoplight in the whole county. There you will find me. Come to NC often?

Thats what I thought at first, so I checked the last chapter "The End" and at the very bottom it also says "The End" so I guess the author just never checked the complete box

I was thinking of giving Terroir by Thimbles a shot as many of you seemed to really like that one, but I couldn't figure out what kind of fic it is when reading up on it. Is it all fluff? I don't know why I keep fearing that it is.

I wouldn't call Terroir "fluff", nor is it angsty.

Fluff to me is when E&B meet, fall in love, have multi-orgasmic sex and make green-eyed babies all before breakfast while driving around in million dollars and living in mansions made entirely of glass walls.

Terroir is very real, beautifully written and has a very dreamy Aussie-ward. Please let me know what you think.

I also recommend a nice Tasmanian riesling or a Hunter Valley shiraz while reading - and a good cheese plate! Cheers!

Mmm - imagine sharing that with this:

FYI, Thimbles has started another fic this week: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Pregnancy is an entirely natural process, one I'd studied and seen in all its stages. Yet in that moment, knowing that Bella was carrying our child, a little person somehow knit together from her and me, and the love we shared, it seemed a strange miracle—she seemed a strange miracle. Life, loss, love, and hope.

This one has a big angst warning for Chapter 1.

This is only my second time.  Last time it was Raleigh for a training class.  I was pretty much stuck at the hotel then.  It was a pretty area. The humidity is something I'm not used to though.  We get hotter, but it's dry heat. ;)

Hubs and I went to college in Raleigh. Yea, if you are not use to the humid south, it can be a doozy. I have been to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Anaheim, the dry west. Phoenix's 120 day felt like our 85.  I can remember that night it was like 80 and I had to put on a jacket !

Enjoy Greenboro.

I had it in my complete file in Calibre so I just checked the last chapter. It's titled "The End"  it looks like a future take. It's done.

Though being not marked is probably why it's been on my TBR list for so long LOL! ;)
