I lived near Stuttgart 1989-1991, with hubs in the military so Guten Tag! (you probably already knew that)

I am a Robperv more than I get to read. Tumblr is so easy to push reblog than to read a chapter. It also makes me pant more. 
I have been Rob blogging for years now, my harddrives are full of visual stimulations. Yea, we will call it that.

I don't have a lot of time since I work 12-14 hours a day so I am a slow reader. The weekends I am not around much since hubs is usually home. He travels the world so if he is home well he usually has plans.  By Mon I fall asleep from much needed rest.

I decided to try and get back to Broken Angel. I am on chp 25 of 40. GAH.....I took a break from it in June. Can I finish?

And I already knew about your blogging. I'm such a stalker! 
I read the BDB series about 5 times, but the lesser parts only once.
And yes there are 15 books in the Rough Riders Series. Soooo good. Very steamy!

I liked Thief Of Hearts. Not one of my all-time-favorites, but still very good.

I have a list with fics I once began and never finished. The list is called "To Finish". Yeah...I think the only action will be adding fics. Alone thinking about re-reading a fic that I didn't finish in the first place makes me cringe. Maybe when I'm all out of fics I'll get back to those. 
But I like lists, so I made one. At least I showed goodwill and didn't delete them heartlessly.

It's hard for me NOT to finish. I don't pick fics out of a whim or because I went fishing for a fic. If I am reading it, then someone that I value has rec'd it. I rarely even worry about a summary and just jump right on it. I usually have a dozen or so wips going at once and then I read a completed fic or book while I wait for updates.

Re-read. I don't do that either. There are waaaaaaaayyyyy to many on my TBR list for that. I have re-read 2 in all my years. A one-shot (In the Flesh) and a drabble named Sin by Mamasutra. I had followed the drabble from day 1 and when there was a plot twist, I went back and re-read to that point to see if I could have seen it happening. It only took a couple of hours.

Loved the plot, the SPAG was terrible.
I have also learned, I dislike drabbles.

All that being said, I won't be rec the Angel series. To me its very wordy to get the plot moving forward. I feel like saying - just spit it out already. The different POV are redundant. I wish EPOV was first, so I could skim the rest. I just feel like that if I have invested my time to read 3/4 of the fic, I need to see it to the end. The problem with it though is that I think of anything else to do other than read.

O.k., o.k., this are 14 fics. But it's so hard to narrow them down! I just had a quick look at my all-time-favorite-list (yes another list) and there are 29 on it at the moment. I'm sure there are some more, but those are the ones I could easily remember when tidying up Calibre.

Just passing by to let you all know am still alive and kicking. 

Have been lurking, reading the posts every few days so i can know how all my lovely friends here are doing. Work is really killing me right now and bound to be even crazier the next few months. Had to discipline myself from checking on here during work...and it has been quite a challenge! I have literally closed my hands into fists while reading the posts so i don't press the quote, reply or thank you button bec i know once i start, i can't stop! 

I so wanted to comment on quite a number of topics, so will do now on what's top of my mind:
1. I totally recognized some of those p0rn stars without make up on! For those of you who watch, don't you imagine what it might taste like for the guys kissing an inch thick of make up? Must be a lot of retouching done between takes bec they somehow still look the same, albeit a bit sweaty and with a diff kind of load on their faces afterwards 
2. Oh the holy peens of rob and kellan!
3. Congrats lauren!! I am soooo happy for you!!! You make me proud!!!
4. DiorRob! Rob spending time with the sick kids! Such a handsome man... Swoon 
5. Author might have meant "incoherent moan" not incontinent...
6. Welcome oilily! As astro said: height, bra and feet size please 

I had a minor breakdown at work friday, crying at my desk  With all the stress at work plus this big doozy: i am over a week delayed. I was so scared i was pregnant! Did a pregnancy test sat., negative. Had a physical exam mon., negative. Am just waiting for my period to arrive so i can be fully rid of my anxiety. This scare has made me swear off s e x! At my age, no way in hell do i want another child 

Phew, that's a load off my shoulders. Thanks again for making me feel better. Your posts continue to brighten my life. See you around!!

I have a confession to make: I'm a lurker. Since about 6 months I'm a constant lurker in here. I read every post in #3 and I'm catching upd with #4 (at page 50 of the thread at the moment).

So, I have the strange feeling of knowing you, but nobody of you knows that I'm lurking, cracking up with you, lusting after Rob with you and grabbing your fic recs greedily on a daily basis.

But today happened something: FB suggested Astro as a possible friend for me although we only have 8 friends in common. And I simply couldn't resist to send a friend request because I thought "Hey, that must be Astro from PTS! I know her and her posts on PTS are sooo great!" Imagine a little fangirling here. 
But that was also a sign for me to gather my courage and step out of my lurker closet here.

I'm female, 34, married, from Germany (Bavaria). The dictionary says my profession is called "law (enforcement) officer". Let's just say I work at the district court.
When I'm not working, I'm reading. Mostly Twilight fanfiction.
And I'm a big hoarder. A Twilight fanfiction/book hoarder.
My Calibre library contains 2994 files at the moment. Only 170 files are real books, the rest are fics. And counting...
I LOVE Calibre and I love not only reading, but also organizing and tidying up my fics and my e-book-reader and sharing my fics/books with others.

What else?
Rob gets me all hot and bothered and I simply can't get enough of him since about 2 years now.
I love his pics, movies and his interviews, especially the early ones. He always manages to brighten my day and make me smile. Rob's word vomits on Youtube cheer me up without fail on a shitty day.

My hubs knows about my ff and Twilight addiction, but I'm mostly in the Rob closet and plan to stay there. I don't want to share Rob with my RL friends. 

Fic-wise I'm an angst h00r, but every now and then I need something fluffy and light to ease my mind.

Normally, I'm not a big re-reader because there's too much new stuff to read.

I tend to flounce a lot lately because it's hard to find a fic that holds my interest until the end and I have the feeling of wasting my time when there's so much more to read in my library.

I enjoy a good Non-HEA, but found only very few so far. The Elusive Mr Cullen was one of them. I'm an Edward girl. I don't shy away from non-canon, but it should have Edward in it. And it's very hard for me to find a Bella to like. Maybe it's so hard because I picture mostly KStew in my mind. *cough* It was very refreshing for me to read Dusty where I couldn't picture KStew but was forced to imagine another Bella.

I'm also a big fan of J. R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, especially V and of Lorelei James's Rough Riders Cowboys. Anyone in here familiar to Lorelei James? Holy smoke, her cowboys are hot!  (PM me if you want to test it!)

I think that's enough for introduction so far, isn't it?  Please excuse this lenghty post and any SPAG errors or other mistakes, but I really had to get this off of my mind. Phew! *wipes forehead*

At the moment I'm reading Edward Wallbanger and though it's not angsty so far, I'm enjoying it a lot and it could probably make it on my all-time-favorite-list. It's been a long time since I laughed out loud or grinned widely while reading a fic.

Oh I don't know if I would compare the two, other than how they made me feel. Colliding Meteors is Bella/Jasper, can't remember if you do non-canon. wide Awake was my first fic, CM was my first non-canon, so they both hold a special place.

Why hell don't people stay home if they are sick.  Why the Freak must you come to work cough, hack up a lung and sneeze  all over the place and possibly get the rest of us sick  ?  Freaking stupid idiotic  people.  I am afraid to open my office door. 

Sorry had to vent cause I am really going to loose it here. 

I'm so sorry you are all stressed out at work.  I know how that goes.  And I've had the pregnancy scare at 43.  It would have been my first.  Yeah, no.  I couldn't chase after a toddler.  A few years later I just stopped.  It was kind of nice.  After the first few scary months of taking pregnancy tests.  Anyway, you are probably right in that age where you start missing. And the hormones go all wacky, which doesn't help with the stress.  All I can say is it does get better.

 

I had my last baby at 43, with one pregnancy scare after that. Since the last one almost killed me with a stroke after he was born, that last pregnancy scare was really scary.
