I had my last baby at 43, with one pregnancy scare after that. Since the last one almost killed me with a stroke after he was born, that last pregnancy scare was really scary.

WOW FFG, that is scary.  With my first child, my husband was asked by my dr who he wanted him to save me or the baby.  My husbands response was both but the dr explained that might no be an option and he had to make a decision.

Wow, you too? I had the same scare with my first. Well, as I was rushed to the ER, the Dr told my husband there was no hope for the child and they were gonna try and save me. Well my son will be 22 next week. The second son was a planned c-section. I can cook em fine, just can't have em. 

Yeah it was scary,  He was 2 months early I had severe pre-eclampsia. After my son was born the head dr of the nicu told my husband that they did not expect my son to make the first 12 hours of life and that he was going to go tell me this info.  My husband threatened him and told him that if he told me that after what i just went thru he would rip his F'ing head off his shoulders and shove it up his a$$.  After the delivery it took them 48 hours to get my bp down to normal so i was in icu recovery had not seen my son yet and no clue what was going on since i was so out of it.  Needless to say he is now a normal, smart mouthed, back talking, stubborn, testosterone raging 10 year old boy and i would not change it for the world

 

I just read a good story. Marked complete. Short, but pretty good Jasper/Bella AH fic.

So what was it?  Just so I can change it to "Do Not Read" on my Calibre 

I really love how you police all those rude posters who never say thanks and only come back when they want more.  This is not to say there are that many of them.  But definitely enough to take the fun out of looking.

Nope, I don't normally.  A OS here and there.  So it is not in my Calibre library.  I have pretty much all completed, stated B\E and stories with reviews over about 900 or so.  But I also started grabbing all completed stuff over 1K words when I found out about the Calibre grab a whole page thing.  Before, that, only B/E and the whole gang stuff. 

I have way too many fics in my library.  No wonder it crashes LOL!

I have a confession to make: I'm a lurker. Since about 6 months I'm a constant lurker in here. I read every post in #3 and I'm catching upd with #4 (at page 50 of the thread at the moment).

So, I have the strange feeling of knowing you, but nobody of you knows that I'm lurking, cracking up with you, lusting after Rob with you and grabbing your fic recs greedily on a daily basis.

Err...yeah...I'm a little nervous now about your reactions, but I try to concentrate on work and wait for the next post to come. Have a nice day/night!

Welcome to the Far Side! You're not a lurker anymore. Whoohoo! I've got all the BDB and Lorelei James books safely hoarded but not yet touched. May have to move them up on my TBR. *sigh* Oh, and thanks for reminding me about Cutlass in your top picks. I keep meaning to read that since I really like TKegl's writing.

Re-read. I don't do that either. There are waaaaaaaayyyyy to many on my TBR list for that. I have re-read 2 in all my years. A one-shot (In the Flesh) and a drabble named Sin by Mamasutra.

I loved the DTE entry In the Flesh. If there was something to reread, then that would be a good one. Shame it was pulled from the contest, but glad to know it was Hoodfabulous who wrote it!


Limomx2 and D_D…I totally agree about Real Life of EA Masen…just seeing that you're reading it makes me chuckle. Humor is so hard to get right.

FFG and Limom, Glad things worked out with your kids. Ella, like you I've never been pregnant (did have a scare once like Booked just did). Now I'm almost 40 so it doesn't look like kids will ever be in the picture for me. Kind of depressed about that. No husband or prospects either. At least I still have my books and can always chat a little here to vent.

I haven't been over to 152 Thread Round 3 in an age; but after seeing your post Ella I had to go over and see who's arse FFG was kicking....FFG? You go girl, I'm in awe! 

And ficfangirl is soo right! I hate it when I look up a story, post my suggestion and never get a feedback if it's the right story or not. It's wasting energy, because others keep looking...

I agree with you Anchalee, the least someone can do is tell the suggestion poster whether you had it right or not...I'm too slow off the button to be much use over there, couple that with my Alzheimer's....

Of course, living near a military base there was always a good chance of meeting a nice guy. 

This is a strategy I have never thought of! Move near an army barrack! Ella you're a genius!! There are a number in the London area...I'm off to investigate, not moving because, let's face it...that's a bit drastic and London isn't that big, but frequenting the local bars around said barracks...PK this might be the answer to our single status.. especially as ....* peeps from behind sofa* I think I might have outgrown my Pretty crush *ducks!*
