This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I'm having a quiet night too. My children start back at school tomorrow - all their uniform is ready, PE kits are packed and shoes don't need polishing as they are new!

I am reading a book at the moment, Hotshot by Julie Garwood and I am really enjoying it so far.

I thought you meant died as in the battery had gone, not dead forever!

Well, the lower half is frozen with a screensaver image. That's not repairable as far as I know, that's the same way I lost my first kindle. Unfortunately I don't have any guarantee left...

I have problems reading n a computer monitor for a longer time, gives me a headache. So a kindle/ereader is my best solution for reading paperfree.

Oh good! I haven't seen anything he's in yet and was surprised the author didn't say anything. But with the Debbie Does Dallas the Musical screenwriter, I'm still not holding out much hope for the films.

OMG, a "little" confession that is my all time favorite p0rn.

I know that what happened behind the scenes with the drugs, murders etc is more interesting than the film - but I can't help but like it just for the cheese factor alone.

I don't know if this is my virus protection flagging it or Firefox as I don't get the message when using Chrome.

And if I hit 'allow' I get another message asking if i'm sure because the contents could harm/infect my system...

I used to get that message when I used Chrome about 2/3 months ago but it's stopped now.
As for Firefox I've not had that problem, but I do when I use Safari so I don't know if it's something to do with certain content on here or not.

Have you called Amazon? Mine wasn't charging and they sent me a refurb kindle even though I didn't have any sort of warranty. This was a year or so ago, not sure if they still do that. Can't hurt to ask. If you do a search for "Amazon customer service chat" you can find the link for chatting with a CSR and that might be easier to do. I've got the Paperwhite now and I flove it! I will seriously cry if it quits working on me! I can't be without it even for a day. ;-)

Is The Office the one that was published as Beautiful Bastard? If so, I think the published sequels are about the other characters, not the main couple. I'm not sure if the fic has a sequel, but I haven't heard about it if it does.

Having recently lost a kindle to screen failure, I can totally sympathize

I usually use Chrome, so I never see that. However, I did get a "This site has a poor reputation" warning today on my phone. That doesn't happen very often though....

Have you called Amazon? Mine wasn't charging and they sent me a refurb kindle even though I didn't have any sort of warranty. This was a year or so ago, not sure if they still do that. They just sent me a refurbished one as well for a discounted price. If I hadn't wanted Text to Talk, it would have been pretty cheap, but they only had a Kindle Touch with it. I really wanted a graphite again

But you do have to mail in the old one. They paid for it, but you have to package it all up an everything...

That's horrible! I don't want to even imagine my Sony e-book-reader dying!

It's with me all the time, even when I'm not reading. It would have to be replaced immediately! My Sony was the best purchase in my life.

And I also would try calling Amazon at first. Can't hurt!
