This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Hehe, my one-tracked mind only went as far as the physical side of the relationship is concerned!
In RL and a serious relationship I like my men older. My husband is 11 years my senior, but is well-preserved (?sounds weird) and his mind is sometimes such of an 20 year old.

In RL, i wouldn't have the guts to be a cougarella

ok for me to appreciate younger men's looks but ever since i was young had always been attracted to older guys. My husband is 7 yrs older than me.

the 2 dates i had before meeting him (pathetic, i know), were also with guys 3-5 yrs older.

This is why i enjoy reading so much. You get to live vicariously from the characters/stories. Take M/F/M, never in my wildest dreams will i consider doing that, but reading about it is exciting. Good enough for me, what with my active imagination.

Now, if by some cosmic miracle i get a chance with Rob, will be on that like a flash

That's horrible! I don't want to even imagine my Sony e-book-reader dying! It's with me all the time, even when I'm not reading. It would have to be replaced immediately! My Sony was the best purchase in my life.

And I also would try calling Amazon at first. Can't hurt!

I have an Asus tab and if that crashed I would be beside myself....it would have to be replaced immediately

Same here! I wont even download cougar fics....just not my thing. In real life, a man has to be older than me for attraction to be there.

The exception is if the dude is a celebrity (like Rob, Jackson, etc) and the gap isn't extreme

He's 7 years younger than me, but it didn't even come to my mind to feel bad for ogling him. He's simply fantastic to look at and his age doesn't matter!

Well, I spent 15 minutes with the Amazon kindle helpline. He asked me to restart it several times, which did nothing ( as I could have told him) and then he realized that my kindle already was a replacement, because my original kindle did the same thing nearly exactly a year ago. So, no warranty left, no replacement... $:-\$

But the ordinary kindle e-ink reader is just on sale for 49€ (64,53$), so it's not that bad.

Thanks to calibre I have everything on my netbook already

So basically all the pron and lemons keeps killing your kindle? You should buy an iPad.

I'm reading Stay by Crimsonmarie and so far I'm liking it. It's not blowing me away, but I'm a still quite numb after reading The Bronze Horseman so I'm not sure anything will ever have me swooning again. LOL (for those of you that haven't read TBH yet, take Demaris' advice and read it NOW!)

If you want a well written fic with some angst and where there is a HEA i just plowed through most of belladonnacullen's work and I highly rec There is a Light and The Practice of Love.

Thanks for the rec on this, but talk about sweet... It got a little too saccharine for me, so I took a break and read A Tale by Totteacher which was okay. LAFS romance and a little drama, but just what I needed to return to Penalty Shot. PS is a heartwarming tale about creating a new family.

Are you talking about Stay by crimsonmarie or The Bronze Horseman? TBH is a book, part of a trilogy and OH SO good! (best thing I've ever read hands down across all genres, but very heartbreaking in parts)

Aussie Bella introduces her American friends, Alice and Rose, to a little taste of everything Australia has to offer... including three very delicious Aussie cowboys. Perhaps roos aren't the only things mating in the Outback.

Apart from the fact that I have never met Edward Cullen at a B&S Ball, this fic was like a snapshot of my life! Even my hometown of Brisbane, and where I live now (Rockhampton - Rocky) get a mention!

It's only a 2-shot, so give it a read.

Starting over: Hi. New to the site, but not to fan fiction. It looks like the Twilightverse is very popular here, so I'll jump in. I've been reading fan fiction for a long time. I was actually introduced to the world of fan fiction by my 3rd grade teacher when she gave my class an assignment to re-write or re-tell Charlotte's Web or Bunnicula however we wanted. I ended up writing a crossover type story of a vamp Wilbur trying to suck Chester dry at the movies. That assignment made me realize that I like reading so much more than writing.

I'm not sure if you are fans of Robert Pattinson like a lot of Twilight fic readers are, but he doesn't really do anything for me. No lynching, please! I will admit that recently there are pictures where he does look mighty fine and I feel a little like Melissa McCarthy in the gif.

I've read a lot of Twilight fan fiction over the last 5 or so years. Some good, some bad and some that are pretty horrible. I have probably read most of the fan fictions that have been pulled to published when they were wips. I won't comment on my opinion there because I really like to avoid drama or pushy people who try to ~~harass~~ convince me that my opinion is the wrong one. Some of my favorite Twilight authors are TheFicChick, Teambella23 (I guess it's MaryElizabeth23 now), pattyrose, purelyamuse, Livie79, LaViePastiche, kharizzmatik, 107yearoldvirgin and Bratty-Vamp. I will read anything these author write even if it's about water drying up in the desert, because somehow, someway these authors can make that boring scenario into a kick ass story.
