Maybe because I'm not that interested in lemons anymore. There was only one lemon, in the first chapter, so far. I'm pmsing.

Hey Ladies
Does anyone know why my Calibre has suddenly stopped uploading by FFDownloader. I have to flag and then add it via the  Addbooks plugin
This is the error message I get, regardless of which story I try and upload. Ive updated my Calibre and deleted and reinstalled the FF Plugin but nothing!... Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated otherwise I'm going to start  and

I tried it and got the same error. Must be something to do with the last big calibre update. I'll look on the plugin page on mobileread forums and see what I find out.

Matron, it's true what they say that misery likes company!  You don't know how happy I am to know it's not just me!! Sorry  .  I'm so crap at all things Calibre, ask Ella she'll tell you  I just assumed I'd done something wrong...

I just checked the forums, there are several people having this issue, and this was the reply:

"Ffnet has started blocking the default python user agent, it appears. It may be a while before I can do anything about it. "

So who knows when this will be fixed. Is this nature's way of saying I have enough fics?

Hi.  Just popped my PTS cherry and now I'm skulking the dark alleys of this site looking for... Okaaay, that just sounded really creepy 

Starting over: Hi.  New to the site, but not to fan fiction.  It looks like the Twilightverse is very popular here, so I'll jump in.  I've been reading fan fiction for a long time.  I was actually introduced to the world of fan fiction by my 3rd grade teacher when she gave my class an assignment to re-write or re-tell Charlotte's Web or Bunnicula however we wanted.  I ended up writing a crossover type story of a vamp Wilbur trying to suck Chester dry at the movies.  That assignment made me realize that I like reading so much more than writing. 

I'm not sure if you are fans of Robert Pattinson like a lot of Twilight fic readers are, but he doesn't really do anything for me.  No lynching, please!  I will admit that recently there are pictures where he does look mighty fine and I feel a little like Melissa McCarthy in the gif. 



I've read a lot of Twilight fan fiction over the last 5 or so years.  Some good, some bad and some that are pretty horrible.  I have probably read most of the fan fictions that have been pulled to published when they were wips.  I won't comment on my opinion there because I really like to avoid drama or pushy people who try to harass convince me that my opinion is the wrong one.  Some of my favorite Twilight authors are TheFicChick, Teambella23 (I guess it's MaryElizabeth23 now), pattyrose, purelyamuse, Livie79, LaViePastiche, kharizzmatik, 107yearoldvirgin and Bratty-Vamp.   I will read anything these author write even if it's about water drying up in the desert, because somehow, someway these authors can make that boring scenario into a kick ass story.

 


And....crap about the issue with ffn downloader and ffn! I wonder if flagfic is having any issues? Though...I realllly like the plug in...fics are auto added to my library and all the details are on the first page.

I think I've heard someone else mention this here...    I wonder if it's any good?   The first chapter definitely got my attention!   I may just have to read it since I loved LiMB!

Ah, who am I kidding.  Not everyone likes the Pretty, as we call him here.  More for us I say! 

Yeah, we mostly like to avoid the drama here, share fanfics and  real books 

However, if you stick around, you will be inundated with pictures of the Pretty along with other hotties.  And maybe some who are not so hot.  What can I say? We are a fun group.

I found the plugin site with a google group after I kept getting this error.  The guy that wrote the program says that FFnet appears to be blocking the base code used for the program.  And he does not have time to fix it right now.  If it is blocking the base code, it will be a major rewrite.   

I did look at FFnet's home page.  Users have been complaining about slowness and access, so they have been trying to fix things.  I am hoping one of these fixes accidentally blocked the base code and that they will undo it...

Otherwise You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login has a great program that will download from ffnet.  I have had no problems running it, if you don't want to use flagfic.....

I hope they get it fixed soon! I just love the plugin. Soooo convenient.
