EDIT: I just re-read your post and realised that it's FFN that is stopping the download and not anything to do with the calibre FFD plugin!  Shoot! that will definitely take some getting round...but it also means having to venture over to the dark-side, Twilighted or TWCS, to check if they have the stories we want so we can download from there...What a clusterf*ck..

I uploaded an update to the plug-in last night and was able to fetch fics using calibre again.

Edit - I'm so far behind after spending last week with my daughter.  I may never catch up.  But I know I have to soldier on and read everyone's reactions to the casting decisions for FSOG.  Mine were 

My plug in was up to date, but still having the issue, but it seems to have resolved itself today, so yay! I can update again.

BTW. Why didn't someone tell me that The Real Life Of E A Masen was sooooo funny. Today I took my 'old' (only with Apple would an 8 month old device be classified as 'old') iPad out by mistake and that fic was on there, with nothing else to read while waiting for the Tube I started it, my fellow passengers must of thought I was mad! I could not stop laughing!

When my daughter found out that I had liked the pretty, she complained that he was too young for me.
I then had to inform her that her step-dad is 2 years younger than him, she then calls me a perv - but I think we all know I was perv a looooooong time before meeting her step-dad.

There are two lessons that I have tried to teach you all:

1. Use pineapple juice to improve the taste of funky spunk.

2. Suppress the gag reflex by biting the pad of your left thumb - hard - and then squeeze your thumb inside your fist.

This explains the squeezing part. The thumb biting was a little tip I learnt a while ago. The gag reflex doesn't disappear permanently, but it goes away long enough to...do what you need to do.
