You'll find that some of the girls have no morals at all (not me, I am very pure  ) and will even ask totally improper questions such as which country/city you're from, your height, your shoe size and your bra size.

Why do fanfic vampires have no gag reflex?

Yeah, it makes for great (or not so great) lemons, but they also have to puke out food regularly, how do they do that with no gag reflex?

I've found rarely do women in fics have much of a gag reflex.  And they always seem to swallow.  So I think you are forgetting that consistency is not a requirement in fanfics. 

I mean, if it were venom, which they could probably digest, wouldn't it turn any human they had sex with?  But if it is normal sploogy stuff, then humans would get pregnant - oh wait, Bella did.   

But if it were regular sploogy stuff, then it would be like food - and yuk, they would have to cough it up later like a big sploogy hairball.   

Okay, I'm officially grossed out.....

No, not really.  I am very loopy this week having had to work in a place that was almost 90 degrees with the A/C going.  My computer actually overheated.  Well, it got hot and quit working....  Actually, it was the humidity that was getting to me.

Yep it is! In FFD you can customise the information Calibre stores on each fic. You can get it to sort by Character type, I just do Edward and Bella, I even have a 'flounce' column (with date) because I optimistically thought, when I first started collecting fics, that I'd be doing that, no such luck, I even have a TBR column which tell me if the fic is on my Ipad TBR or not...yeah, I flove FFN!  And Ella because she's my Calibre guru

Talking about huge TBR lists. I'm trying to think of a way to be more 'selective(?)' about what I Calibre because really, it is getting way out of hand; almost 2500 fics in just over a year? Every single story that has been rec'd here since we started has been added, if I didn't already have it, to my Calibre. That's nuts! So I've decided not to 'collect' any stories less that 20 Chapters. If it less than 20 I just read them on FFN, love them and release them back to the mother lode! I haven't actually put this into practice yet so I wanted your opinion ladies...Does that sound 'doable', sensible? I feel I have to think up some sort of criteria on what I keep or else I'll never catch-up or get ahead of my TBR list, I'll be dead before I get to finish all these stories. The only way this ends well is if every single Twific author stopped writing fics forever!

I'd really like opinions and suggestions.  I'm off to bed 02.35 GMT. I look forward to suggestions tomorrow, or, I suppose, later today i more accurate   

Although I download a lot of stuff? Not all of them are on my TBR list.  My TBR column is a Yes/No, so No is an option.  So download whatever looks interesting, but only but the stuff you actually want to read in the next few months on your TBR list.  Then update it after it gets smaller & add the next group. 

My other though is a rating system - 1 to 10 where 1 is read now and 10 is read never.  Read the 1's, then the 2's, ......  and when you are 80? you can read the 10's    I'm actually thinking about this as I have a number that look interesting, but I don't really want to read it anytime soon...  There's too many in front of it.

 

I am not the Calibre expert by any means, so I might be completely wrong, but this is what I'm thinking...

The Anthology thingy grabs all the fics from one profile in the order that they are published. What I would do is use the epub merge thingy that someone else mentioned a few weeks back.

Ellachanted can you help me please? I just checked your construction for Calibre and setting up the columns. Thanks for that by the way!
But do you know how this works with an e-book-reader?
I have to explore first.
I have a Sony e-book-reader. I download my fics with flag and import them into Calibre. Flagfic downloads the metadatas such as character, genre and so on. I change this for my liking before putting the fics on my reader. By doing this I create folders on my reader such as Edward/Bella, Angst, Romance, Drama, Next to read and so on. So I can search also on my reader what I want to read and not only in Calibre.
If I follow your instructions for Calibre will it create folders then on my e-book-reader too? Or are those changes only visible in Calibre? Do you know this?
I'm asking because I prefer having many fics on my reader and not always firing up my PC and looking in Calibre before deciding what to read next.

Is this even understandable now? I'm running out of English words when it comes to tech talk.
