This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

So I started This is who I am, but I really am getting annoyed by Maddie. She talks normally to Bella but talks with a weird southern accent to everyone else? I hate when writers try to do baby talk. Or I guess it's toddler talk. Since she is 4.

I do like the Edward though. Maybe I should read Theif of Hearts. I think that was what I was looking for, but I saw "This is Who I Am" first....

I did not enjoy This Is Who I Am very much, it's Patty's..1st? 2nd Story? She's still learning her trade, I think, in the early stories. I'm not one to encourage people to flounce but TOH is the best thing she's written...Though I haven't yet read her latest short story.

I got stopped at Snowbound by EdwardsEternal. I had started it on my nook but since I got my new kindle, I kind of forgot I was reading it. If reading it means I read the first couple chapters.....

Though Bella has blue eyes. Not sure i like this....

Glass House by Livie79 is a good example. Just finished Bratty-Vamp's Click & Strum and I'm gad darn sick and tired of these silly Bellas taking him back as easily as they do.....

I've read one or two, but if you are talking cheating? I usually avoid those. Mamasutra wrote one I skimmed through where Edward's cheating broke up his marriage. Bella never forgave him. I don't like those stories. Not that I want Bella to forgive him, I just don't like either of them cheating. They can do all the other people they want up to the point they decide they are a couple. I have read one or two that I can't remember right now where Edward had many girlfriends which may have included Bella, but Bella knew they were not exclusive. So she couldn't really be angry at it.

I've read non-HEA, but it has to be well written to be worth it. And sometimes, an HEA is where they die together at the end. Well it's can be a semi-HEA to me. I just don't like the cheating without a good reason. And this marriage is boring is not a good reason. But, well, "my wife's been in a coma for 2 years" might work.

And speaking of dying in the end...or beginning, Thief of Hearts starts out with a bang.

I'm definitely going to keep reading.

Amen, I'm with you on that... and with Ella, I don't read cheating fics unless it's with each other.

But there are some fics out there where Edward does something stupid and Bella just takes him back like nothing happened.

I don't even like cheating with each other. There should be other ways to get together.

See, now you are getting me worried - I haven't used dropbox yet. I also wonder if you delete it off the cloud, will it delete it off your hard drive.

I will have to experiment on my other computer. This one doesn't have enough room for multiple Calibre folders.

I'm SO lost on this. Nothing is working to restore this and I'm just at a loss. I DID get it all backed up to flash and tried to manually add to the (now empty) library and they added but everything custom is gone. And, I have to add each author file separately. All 1700 of them.

And I have a Windows 8 touch computer....anyone have one and have an issue with Chrome and the touchpad gestures making the screen go from regular to full screen by swiping down from the top? I had this issue in the beginning, couldn't disable it so I installed and started using Firefox. Then Firefox started constantly flagging PTS as malicious so I went back to Chrome...didn't have the issue at first but now it's doing it again. So every 30 secs my screen goes into full screen mode because I accidentally swiped down.

It's really lovely, with the sweetest, most rambly, adorkable Edward. It's nowhere near as angsty as Dear Bella, but there is just enough there to bring a tear to the eye, but there are some really funny moments too.

Have you tried those bracelets people wear for motion sickness? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Having experienced neither pregnancy or motion sickness, I'm no expert, but my friend's daughter swears by them.

I haven't tried those, if it doesn't get better in a few weeks, then I'll have to figure where to get one in Austria.

We are planning on telling people soon, so at least I will now have a reason for why I don't feel good. (Yes I told the book club I lurk in before I told people in real life)

Though I do hope you feel better soon. Ginger is supposed to help with nausea. But if you don't like ginger it may not help.

Lucylu, let me experiment on my second computer before you add each book separately.

Have you tried the add new library? It is under Library not add books. I'm currently copying my fancy library. I'm thinking I may have to add the columns, but the metadata should fill in once it has a column to fill to.

I'll let you how I do it.
