This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

I've only read Date so I can't comment on the rest but...should I continue? Do you really think she get better Ella...she's used 'shutters' and all sorts in Date...

See - this is why I'm beta-ing. I PM'd her and said something to the effect of "love your story, hate the SpaG, would you like a beta?" Well, a little more politely. She was really nice and said YES! the more the merrier. Please catch my errors!

So now there will be no more "shutters"

She is actually a really nice person and doesn't get offended when I make suggestions. So I enjoy working with her.

If you found that tough, what about Leah and Charlie?

Leah and Charlie I could do. I'm canon only when it comes to Edward and Bella. The rest? I love a nasty Alice that I can hate. I love a sweet Rose. You could put Rose with Charlie and it would be fun. And any of the non-E/B characters can die. So E/B canon with an HEA. The rest can do whatever.

Back to fanfic, eh? Well, I got bored with my reread of Colliding Meteors (errors really stand out on a reread, whereas on a first read you're just blown away by the plot and characters), so I put it aside and started rereading A Moment Changes Everything by Heavyinfinity. Yes, more non-canon in the canon thread, but it's what I'm reading.

I also saw a lovely picture of Draco and Harry on one of those Cassie Clare links I posted, so now I'm thinking of breaking my HP fanfic cherry, and hunting up some good Draco/Harry slash.

I started reading it half way through. It is not the greatest thing I have ever read but it is a reasonably enjoyable BDSM romance. She has written a sequel which I may or may not read. $:-\$

Well, I think the one good thing that could come out (and hopefully does) of this plagiarism mess, is that it helps mend the rift between Yellow and Bella. Dusty and Bliss may have pissed me off with their dysfunctional and selfish behavior, but the close partnership and camaraderie between the 2 authors was clearly evident in the written words of the story. It looks like they're talking already, and laughing with each other over the fact that this blog

Girl, don't even go there!

It's kind of overwhelming to sift through all the different comments and blogs about this whole thing though. I agree with Astro that the evidence that reviewer posted so far is telling and damaging to the author, and I'm incredulous that she posted that many similarities within the 2nd chapter alone.

Well, moving on to a more fun topic. I just read today's update of Awkwardly Yours by Vancouver-Canuck-Girl and laughed as usual. I like this author's humor, because it's just all in good fun. I'm a sarcastic bitch, and I'm surrounded by sarcastic and excessively dry humor, so it's refreshing to read humor that doesn't skirt the edge of being possibly cruel.

Well, it looks like Amazon pulled the story. And none of her other books are are no longer available. It's such a stupid thing to do. If you are going to steal, at least rewrite it. I mean she's a published writer, she should know how to rewrite, change words, etc... to make it different enough not to be recognizable....

LOL! She threatened getting a lawyer and taking action against the people claiming she plagiarized on her facebook. At least that's what the GeekGirl's blog showed. So funny. No lawyer would take it....

I have to restart that story. I think I read the first 3 chapters then missed a few when I was traveling. Now I'm all behind....

There are now 10 chapters of this funny fic. Another thing I like about this fic is that even though it's a wip, the author posts regularly, and the story and this Edward are very distinct. I don't have any trouble remembering what happened in the previous chapters; and I don't feel the need to re-read the previous chapters, so it really is the perfect type of fic to read as a wip.
