This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Well, geeze - I hump like bunnies with every guy I meet within 5 minutes of meeting them.  Every time! Don't you? 

Okay, only if they look like Edward/Rob.  Then I hump like bunnies - right away.  It's a little embarrassing.  Especially when they are all "What the hell is wrong with you?" "Why are you humping my leg?" "I need a restraining order"

Sigh.   

Yeah, not really.  Only Loopy.  Maybe.  Because she seems to actually meet hot guys.

Well....now I'm depressed!

I think I did the usual meet and greet and wait (not so patiently) for a few months. 

Oh, and Loopy seems to have her own agenda.  I can seriously see a reality show based on her life - more entertaining than any soap I've watched for certain!

To have something in your own page you must reblog. You can also post, but if you have no followers, they cannot see your posts. The dashboard works like Facebook. You will only see things there from people you follow.

And I'm OCD enough to *want* to go and re-download everything that I originally did in pdf into epub format.

You're very welcome.  I prefer just about anything to PDF.  PDF is so hard to read, even on the computer.

I've been trying to get all the PDF stuff on ePub or even mobi.  But most of the old stuff is PDF from before things like Flagfic.  I remember when I first started & fanfictiondownloader only did PDF.  Sigh.  Fortunately, not too long after they started mobi and epubs.....

aww shucks, you mean to tell me everything i read and watched in books and movies about western civilization is not true?!!

But i do truly love hearing all of your wonderful stories...i live vicariously through your experiences...

If I pull it myself, I always get epub, I on;y take PDF as a last resort, because it can be a pain to convert.

Now that all the readers are out there, I don't really get why people STILL pull as PDF, I guess it's just what they're used to. The only good thing about PDFs is when the author has pictures and banners in them.

Ditto to both. When I first started downloading I pulled all in PDF format because....well because that's what everyone else had and I didn't really know the difference or have an ereader (only read on my phone). But after I started coming to PTS and was introduced to epub (a nod goes out to Ella for that one), that is all I will  pull in. So much more versatile than PDF, easier to read, take up less space, and I'm kinda dependent on calibre's stat info they provide for epubs.

I only have pdfs now from downloading the fics that others provide on the 152 thread. And while I'm very thankful for any and all fics that are shared I cringe a little when I see that .pdf extension.

I really need to go back and grab what I can in epub, while I still can. But....with a lovely combination of OCD and ADD, I don't see it happening. It's going to drive me crazy until I get it done, but I'll never be able to focus long enough to actually do it.
