LOL! But Loopy's already been with a guy with a PA. She has firsthand knowledge, unlike the rest of us.

And you want TMI? Although my hubby refused to get a piercing, he was open to getting re-parka'd. Long story. Came out of a discussion with an author over whether with or without the jacket is better. It was interesting. ;)
I have but it was years ago and even though I reckon there should be law saying that all men must have a pierced peen, but it's great to hear about someone else's opinion.  ;) ;) >:D >:D
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I didn't know guys could get re-parka'd. I've always preferred with a jacket as long as the guy is hygenic, I've bad experiences where this hasn't been the case.  :sign0137: :sign0137: :sign0137: :sign0137:

Oh hell - no Demaris - with or without - there is no privacy involved - this is the net after all and if you want info - its there.  I think I was just making the observation that back in the day if you wanted an anatomy lesson, all you had to do was pick up a copy of Playgirl - another institution which the net killed off - at this point after your post, I'm not really sure anymore what my point is or was.   There is no such thing as too much information on this site - if my head was going to explode, it would have done so on InDeath.net the day someone did a thread on Eve and Roarke and oral sex in the Adult forum. (and yeah we have an adult forum - only for those over 21 and with webmistress's approval.   We have too many members under the age of 18 and none of us were interested in facing parental wrath).  We also seem to have gained Nora Roberts as a member on our site which has turned out not be a blessing.   We are the only place on the net that has InDeath fanfic and she started making a stink on some of the fanfiction we've got and as moderators - we had to find a moderator willing to take the time to read it and start enforcing our guidelines to keep Nora off our backs.   In Nora's case, her head was exploding and not in a good way.   My TMI was directed more at the fanfic out there where on some of the stuff out there - we all have our limitations on what either squicks us out or in the case of a moderator on a site - gives us a headache.   Have I only muddied the waters more or am I actually making sense?  Oh yeah - before I go - if a woman can get surgery to reinstate the hyman and make it appear she's still a virgin why can't a man get "re-parka'd - it only makes sense - surgery can reattach so why not the other?

The writer I talked to was a nurse I think. So she should know. I think it was kimpy. She wrote a story with Bella as a nurse and Edward as a doctor. It was a good story. It's on my reread list. ;)

Kimpy as in fanfic author - she's no longer writing fanfic - I think she's writing or has written a novel sometime in the past year or two but not based on one of her fics.  The fic I remember best from her (but is probably not the one Ella is thinking of) is Silver Lining - Edward (doctor) meeting Bella when they both middleaged(on Twilighted).  He's a widower and she's divorced (and more enlightened about sex than his late wife ever was).   I ended up inadvertently giving her a story idea.   I was commenting on something in the story and relayed the story a friend and I had had over the phone one day about a cable channel that is no longer on that sold erotic toys at 3 am.   The friend was telling about the vibrator for joggers - had settings 1 - 5 - 5 being the highest setting.   I made the remark about how embarrassing it would be to wear it while jogging and having the setting get stuck on 5 and the jogger would end up fainting on the street and how embarrassing it would be to end up in the emergency room and have the emergency crew find out why the person had fainted.   The friend and I were laughing so hard we had to hang up.  Kimpy thought it was hysterical and used a form of the idea for the story - and credited me for the idea but under the beginning of my e-mail address instead of my name thank god.  Link below.  I  think the fic Ella's referring to by kimpy is The Nightengale Journals?

Please refer back to post of the 10th June, mention was made of a 'cut' peen.....plaintiff made it clear uncut peens were not in favour.

Just for the record, I did remember that Mr. PA was cut, I was just relating the broadness of my inexperience.  And this from a woman who gave birth to two boys.  It's just that my hubby always handled the diapers for the first couple of days after the birth while I recuperated and the boys were circumcised before I ever had to change a diaper.  I'm torn between feeling grateful for not having to handle those first icky diapers and feeling deprived at not seeing my boys before they were altered.

As for being re-parka'd, I though the argument against circumcision was a certain loss of sensitivity (they could be more sensitive?!).  It doesn't seem like surgery would fix that, just as surgery may be able to re-create a hymen, but not the lack of experience that accompanies the original one.

I used to watch a show here in Canada called the Sunday Night Sex Show with Sue Johanson. She talked about circ'd and uncir'd men. She said that circumcision does cause a desensitivity in the head from the friction from clothing. She said that if a circ'd man was to start putting a silk cover over his peen that the sensitivity would gradually return to the pre-cir levels.

You know, I can't believe we are talking about this. This thread never ceases to amaze me.... :D

In regards to TBH when I read it I had no idea it was going to have 2 sequels so..Yeah, I'd cry and read and cry and re-read on a loop for quite a while, I just didn't want it to be over.  :-\ Honestly, it seems I was an Angsthoor before I even knew there was such a term!  ???

Who is My Life Next Door by?
I forgot you read TBH when there was only the first book.  I would have been so torn up if I didn't have the other 2 books waiting for me.

My Life Next Door is by Huntley Fitzpatrick I think.   It's YA...  sweet story so far.  Nothing top 20 worthy though.  ;)

I've not read it yet, it's been on my TBR list for ages I've heard loads of great stuff about the TBH. So it's worth a read, then?
Ohmy... is it worthy?!?  The answer to that is yes x1,000,000.   Please stop what you're doing and start this series.   I should mention that I typically have no interest whatsoever in reading stories that involve war/history etc and it took a lot of arm twisting to get me to read this. (Ok, or maybe Demaris said to read it and I said "OK"! LOL)   I am so glad that I read it.  It's the best thing I've ever read...  it's in the #1 spot forever and I can't imagine anything ever making me feel as much for a set of characters.     So, when are you starting it?

See this is the thing I'm thinking. If a man has been brought up by a woman (say, a young single mother) would she necessary know to tell her young son that he needed to pull his foreskin back when washing and other necessities around male hygiene? I've really been thinking about this....I know how instrumental my mother was teaching me to wash, tone, moisturise, how to always finish of a shower with an ice cold blast to chest to keep my tits firm (true story), the necessity of granny knickers for certain days in the month, to always wear matching lingerie cause you never knew when you'd get hit by a bus and end up in A&E....all kind of wisdoms that my father would never have known (not having tits) to teach me....so, yeah...thoughts?

And I have to be honest, I'm selfish, I kinda care less about his 'sensitivity' than I do about my sexual health and a possible icky peen can cause all sorts of ickiness.

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Demaris, there was a Parkaward twific contest which is where I got the name. I think a lot of our terms come from trying to be in compliance with FFnets terms of service for M rated fics. :D :D :D :D

Yes Kimpy wrote The Nightingale Journals. I haven't read the other one yet. She writes well.  My husband was only interested because the way they cut um was too tight?  But I know when my sisters dealt with it, they talked about having to teach them how to clean and whether it was worth it. My one sister is a nurse so it didn't bother her. The other one went for the circumcision because she didn't want to deal with it.  :P

I guess there was a big push for not circumcising about 15 years ago?  I guess it only comes up when you have a boy LOL!

Of course, all my boys have it all chopped off.  Okay, they get neutered. :D :D :D

OK, just for the record, this is not something to teach a young boy... this need for cleanliness is what US doctors use to still get more circumcisions than necessary...

Quote
‘The prepuce, foreskin, is normally not retractile at birth. The ventral surface of the foreskin is naturally fused to the glans of the penis. At age 6 years, 80 percent of boys still do not have a fully retractile foreskin. By age 17 years, however, 97 to 99 percent of uncircumcised males have a fully retractile foreskin... in particular, there is no indication ever for forceful retraction of the foreskin from the glans. Especially in the newborn and infant, this produces small lacerations in addition to a severe abrasion of the glans. The result is scarring and a resultant secondary phimosis. Thus it is incorrect to teach mothers to retract the foreskin.’

I browse.  Sometimes I brows recs here, sometimes story searches and answers from the 152 thread, sometimes it's the completed fic list on ffn or my favorites list on one of the sites which is really a mix of favorites and TBR and WIPs I'm following.  Something usually catches my eye fairly quickly.

See this is the thing I'm thinking. If a man has been brought up by a woman (say, a young single mother) would she necessary know to tell her young son that he needed to pull his foreskin back when washing and other necessities around male hygiene? I've really been thinking about this....I know how instrumental my mother was teaching me to wash, tone, moisturise, how to always finish of a shower with an ice cold blast to chest to keep my tits firm (true story), the necessity of granny knickers for certain days in the month, to always wear matching lingerie cause you never knew when you'd get hit by a bus and end up in A&E....all kind of wisdoms that my father would never have known (not having tits) to teach me....so, yeah...

OMG, my mum used to tell me the same stuff but I think that by time she had me she was just throwing around any type of old wife's tales she had heard as she didn't really know much about raising a girl.  :D

You know I was talking to the hubby earlier about being re-parka'd and he was surprised by how shocked I kinda was and he was like if they can make a dude into a woman with vagina and visa versa why can't they make another hood.  :D :
For once I think he kinda makes sense, but don't tell him I said that.  :P :P

Ohhh! I get it now. I thought it was an actually a 'term' term....Got it. Re-park'd, as in Parker coat.  :D :D :D. Thank you! it was bugging me.

Yeah, see? I totally get your second sister, I'd be the same. Which you then have to wonder, how many women feel that way so that there are now grown men walking around with stinky peens? Plenty, I'll bet.  :o :P :D
I can't tell you how many dudes I've been with where I've wanted to shout "Cottage Cheese!" And then promptly vomit on them.  :sign0137: :sign0137:

Well bugger me! That's even worse, so said single mothers have to what go into their 17 year old sons bathroom and teach them then? My 17 year old Godsons would suffer serious ife long trauma is their mother was anywhere near their penis at that age... :D

I'd sure hope that a teenage boy is happy enough playing with his peen in the shower to keep it clean...  ;)
