LOL! Maybe "crunchy" is an auto correct error. Or a translation error. I always forget that a lot of Twific readers have another primary language. I always wished I could speak/read a second language.
Thank God! As I said I peeped but it's good to know it hasn't been spoilt; I trust you Loop, if you say its better then....I might wait til October 23rd to read it once Delinquents comes out, maybe? If I can resist, which is doubtful...
Thanks! Yikes, I can't imagine having read it the first time with only access to the first half of the book! I think it would have killed me.
You're the first person Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. to say you trust my judgement - be afraid peeps, be very afraid peeps. If you can resist waiting till October is a good idea - I kinda wish I did, as now I'm (impatiently) waiting for delinquents. :-*I should of known better as I knew they had split Dusty into 2 books, so it was obvious that it would stopped about 1/2 way through what it originally was.
Thanks! Yikes, I can't imagine having read it the first time with only access to the first half of the book! I think it would have killed me.I like it so far and yes, I totally know what you mean by meaty! It is. I just got to the part where Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. Loving reading all the backstories... there hasn't been enough Edward yet for my tastes, so I'm hoping he'll take center stage soon.
Just started on another Nora Roberts novel and find my worlds colliding again. Meeting a character named Douglas Edward Cullen. I just can't escape Twilight! I Googled and this is apparently old news, and you all have probably already posted about it, but still. It's new to me!!
Yeah - its a great book - I didn't read it until after I got hooked on Edward Cullen from Twilight and it gave me a giggle. I have a soft spot in my heart for Douglas' grandfather the bookseller - I think his name is Roger. If memory serves this is Birthright with Callie who discovers that she wasn't legally adopted - when she was two or three she got stolen from the line to see Santa Clause when she was with her original mother.
Does anyone know why Tufano79 is reposting Starlet on FFN? Didn't she swear of the site and it's already up to 25 chapter on TWCS? Did I miss something? Again?
I'm one of the few....never read Dusty. Will the book stay true to the fic? I tried reading the fic but was too heart wrenching...I know, I'm a wuss.
I have her on author alert and she's reposting all her stories but the two that got pulled. It's a little annoying. I should have taken her off. But she should be done soon.
When five-thousand-year-old human bones are found at a construction site in the small town of Woodsboro, the news draws archaeologist Callie Dunbrook out of her sabbatical and into a whirlwind of adventure, danger, and romance. While overseeing the dig, she must try to make sense of a cloud of death and misfortune that hangs over the project-fueling rumors that the site is cursed. And she must cope with the presence of her irritating—but irresistible—ex-husband, Jake. Furthermore, when a stranger claims to know a secret about her privileged Boston childhood, she is forced to question her own past as well.
Demaris - the above is the blurb from Birthright (the book with Douglas Edward Cullen).Supercreep - have you read either Sacred Sins or Brazen Virtue by Nora? Brazen is the sequel to Sacred if you haven't already discovered that.
After almost a year of boycotting Fanfiction.net, I'm slowly adding my stories back to the site. No changes will be made to the stories (in regards to editing for content or whatnot). So many people have asked why I don't post on FFn and personally, it was because I was pissed off that they removed two stories without warning. Now, I will not be adding the two stories that were removed onto FFn. You can find A Ilha do Amor and A Prescription for Love on AO3, TWCS and Fiction Pad. (Links below)... I didn't come to this decision lightly, but I will pull my stories if I'm targeted again by the MODs of FFn. Additionally, all of my one-shots are on TWCS, AO3 and FicPad and will not be added to FFn, either. My main site for posting will be FicPad. They are an amazing site and Jon and the crew have done wonders with it. Thank you for following me, even while I'm being indecisive and a pain in the ass.
I'm one of the few....never read Dusty. Will the book stay true to the fic? I tried reading the fic but was too heart wrenching...I know, I'm a wuss. On another note....anyone seen the movie Don Jon? I thought of Booked as it featured snippets of her fave. p0rn star in action.
Hmmmm, never heard of Don Jon... Will look for it BTW, my family is safe after the typhoon hit this morning. Had no power for 27 hours but we are one of the luckier ones as it has already been restored. My mom and sister's family about 1km away from us still has no electricity. Not much rain so fewer flooded areas were reported this time. But the winds were very strong, lots of electric posts, telephone lines and trees fell. Today was the first time after 2 years that i read a paperback, was conserving the battery of my ipad in case there wouldn't be electricity at night. This made me miss the feel of holding an actual printed book, but it made me realize i am old bec the font size is now hard for me to read. Much easier for me now to read on tablets as i can adjust the font size. Oh, and 1 eureka moment for me. Had to use my PC as i had to do something for work that requires a minikey. Since the landline was down, i had no internet. I tried to see if my iphone's wifi can work. Followed the hotspot direction and I plugged my phone directly to the PC, selected the LAN connection via cellular phone and to my amazement, it actually worked! It's during these times i truly appreciate my iphone
Hey has anyone read the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness? I was thinking of buying the ebook for the first one in the series A Discovery of Witches. Looks like it was on the NY Times Best Seller List. Anyone who has read it, what did you think of it? Has anyone read anything else she has written?
That's from her blog:
I am/was a wuss too but I'm glad that I suffered through Dusty. It's truly an amazing story. I had been so scared to read it because of all the talk of the ending. Ultimately though I was satisfied with the ending. You should check it out. But be warned that it only continues to get more heart wrenching.
Demaris - the title of the book that Supercreep is reading by Nora Roberts is called Birthright. I mentioned it in my reply to her.
