At last, Captivated by You by Sylvia Day has a release date 18th November. Seriously can't wait for more Gideon
I know, I'm actually surprised Scotland hasn't done this before now as both my Nana's always spouted on about how Scotland wanted independence when they were alive (they were both Scottish, though one married a Welsh guy and moved to Yorkshire and the other married an Irish guy and moved to Chelsea as you do ).I personally love Scotland - there's no other place like it. Oh god no, she's definitely not having a Sweet 16th - they've become quite popular this way over the last 3/4 years but nothing like the one's you see on MTV.She's just going out for a meal with her b/f before they come home as he lives with us anyway. Hey, I'm not bad at rec'ing things - okay, that's a bit of a lie when it comes to fics but I always warn peeps when they're craptastic, it's not my fault you keep clicking the link and reading them. Lol, well it's not called shit factor for no reason. I seriously just can't watch it any more as it's so cringe-worthy.My daughter loves it though so she watches one of th many. many repeats of it. I seriously think that some of the peeps on there have no real friends as they tell them they can sing when it's obvious they can't.
Is this the LAST book, or are there more after this? If it's the end, I'll catch up on the series, if not, I'll keep waiting. So far I've only read book 1.
Please tell Me Captivated is the last one? I can't be doing with this silly bint and her mercurial printing schedule.....I love Scotland too, I prefer it to England if I'm honest, and even if I didn't previously understand the Scots call for independence after Outlander? I'd totally get it (God! Anyone remember when I used to reference Dusty in some way in all my posts? Yeah.... )I know, I know I have to wean myself off of clicking on every God damn link that get put on here!
Unfortunately there's another one due after Captivated. The only reason I wanna read the other two is cos I love Gideon otherwise I would've given up ages ago considering it was meant to be a trilogy and all. I actually feel that way about Wales but I think that's more to do with accent than anything else. Lol,you know once you click a link there's no going back.
Guess I'll keep waiting then, cause I forget a lot, and don't really like to reread most things. So I'll wait til they're ALL finished, reread the first, and then read the rest. Bah! How did it grow from a trilogy to five freaking books, anyway?
I think they are tied to be honest....Teh story telling of both stories is superb but I think I love Jamie Fraser more than Alexander Belov, maybe...God, pleases don't tell me I have to go back and read TBH! I'm looking for a couple of amuse-bouches to read to cleanse my palate and kick me out of my post-Outlander funk, I'll read Unteachable next; after that I'm starting Dorothy Dunnett's The Lymond Chronicles (God save me.....)
Finished Unteachable really well crafted story Leah Raeder can write, reminiscent of Tiffanie DeBartolo who wrote A God Shaped Hole anyone who enjoyed Unteachable will love A God Shaped. I have to admit for a while there I thought it was going to end differently but I should have know better .....Kim Kim you might be a padawan Angstyhoor but I know you still have to have a li' sugar UnteachableYou are not allowed to view links. from Painted Faces by LH Cosway, which I finished this afternoon. I liked it, but I love seeing references to what a creeper canon Edward is in other places
I no longer stick around for the actual competition, used to before, til the finale of AI. But after some not so good seasons the past few years, just stopped watching once they are down to the final 20. Now on to finish the last 100 pages of Anna and the French kiss...boy, am missing the lemons right now so it is highly likely i will switch to an adult book after this one.Edit: AatFK was very good. Very tame. Still like Colleen Hoover better when it comes to writing YA with no lemons.
I'm about halfway through the Poisonwood Bible... WOW. This author does an amazing job of giving voices to each of these characters!
There are 4.5 books, 4 books and a series of short stories that falls as 3.5 in the series. I am currently on 3.5. I kept reading through 3 to find out what was going on, I didn't really like book 1, but was really curious to find out exactly what was going on in this world, and you don't really get all of the answers until the end of 3. We are currently visiting family, so my reading time isn't what it normally is, but we have a 14 hour flight back next week, so I should be able to finish the series and will let you know how it is all together.
$$$$ Money makes the world go round, the world go round.
I'm about halfway through the Poisonwood Bible... WOW. This author does an amazing job of giving voices to each of these characters! I can accept a tie, I suppose! Nobody can replace Alexander in my heart! I seriously don't think I'll ever find a book that moves me like TBH did... I suppose I will keep searching for one though!I'll check out a A God Shaped Hole... and yes, you're right I still prefer to have just a lil' sugar! Although, I think I've finally admitted to myself that I like different varieties of sugar! ;-) Glad you liked Unteachable... can you remind me how it got wrapped up at the end? Someone mentioned it having a twist at the end and I am having trouble remembering what the deal was with the main guy. We finally quit watching AI... it just seemed to lose it's steam over the years. I've heard people say that HC brought some of the magic back though. I've never really watched The Voice but supposedly that one is really good and I'm a big fan of Gwen Stefani so might just tune in this season.
AI judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and they are good - Randy works with the contestants now as an adviser.
Ohhhh, Jennifer Lopez....She's my bi-curious crush.
Need something light and feel good with a smidgen of smut to read..any recs?
What kind of stories are you looking for?
Fic or real book, I'm cool with either
You know what? I think I'm with Matron, I'm going to wait til the last book and then read.
So happy to hear this. I have been waiting with bated breath! All I'm sayin' is it better be damn good. I hope it's not one where she drags out the storyline to the wtf region. I hate when authors do that to just add another book to their series. Now I'll just go back to browse the other three books to be in that Gideon mode. I do love me some Gideon...the only wip I've committed to.
